2.Analysis of heart rate variability in the patients with malignant tumor of different phases
Fudan University Journal of Medical Sciences 2009;36(4):413-416
Objective To evaluate the clinical practical value of the heart rate viability test in the patients with malignant tumor during their therapies. Methods Totally 187 cases were analyzed and were divided into three different groups, which included 90 malignant tumor patients before therapy, 45 patients with chemotherapy and 52 non-malignant tumor cases (control group). We compared four HRV indexes(ASDNN5,SDANNS, SDNN and RMSSD) of the patients between the different groups as well as inside each group. Results There were statistical significances in the indexes of ASDNN5, SDANN5 and SDNN of patients at different stages before therapy, the three indexes of the stage Ⅲ group were lower than those of the stage Ⅰ group and the control group as well. The three indexes of the stage Ⅳ group compared with the stage Ⅰ group or the control group (P<0.05) were lower either. There was also statistical significances in SDNN between the stage Ⅲ and the stage Ⅱ of the before-therapy group (P< 0. 05). The indexes of SDANN5 and SDNN of the stage Ⅳ in the chemotherapy group were lower than those of the same stage in the before-therapy group(P<0.05). Conclusions The later the stage of malignant tumor patients is, the more the index of HRV declines. Chemotherapy may affect autonomic nerve function of stage Ⅳ patients with malignant tumor and decrease their HRV.

4.Epithelial cells-stem cells interactions in wound healing
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2010;14(6):1092-1096
BACKGROUND: At the process of wound healing, the epithelial cells and epidermal stem cells interactions is complicated which promoting the mechanisms of wound healing. The abnormities of any fine phase can be result in delayed healing or scarring. OBJECTIVE: To summarize the characterization of epithelial cells and epidermal stem cells and their interaction in wound healing so that we can recognize the mechanisms of scarring from histomorphology, biochemistry and molecular variations. METHODS: A computer-based online search of Pubmed Database was undertaken to identify the relevant articles on epithelial cell and epidermal stem cells interactions in wound healing and results in scarring published from 1974 to 2009 with the key words of "epithelial cells, epithelial stem cells, wound healing, keratinocytes, fibroblasts, hypertrophic scar, keloid" in English. At the same time, Chinese relevant articles were searched in China Journal Full-text Database (CJFD) published between 1999 and 2009 with the same key words in Chinese. A total of 43 articles were collected about the cell structure (3 articles), the cell interactions in wound healing and scarring (16 articles), the relevant on epithelial stem cells (24 articles).RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: The effect of different cells in epithelial tissue is known to all. The keratinocytes and fibroblasts had been on studying frequently, and their closely correlated to scarring. At present, the epithelial stem cells has been confirmed, but the relevant on their location, quality and specific epidermal markers are unclear which need to study and explore. With the rapidly development of science and technology, we maybe control the expression of cells by genic regulation not only culture the cells of our need but to prevent the scarring.
6.Leptin and gastrointestinal motility
International Journal of Surgery 2009;36(7):481-484
Leptin,a peptide encoded by the obese gene,is primarily secreted by adipocytes, which is a critical hormone controlling food intake, body weight, energy expenditure and neuroendocrine function. Leptin can alter the reactivity of the gastrointestinal neuromuscular, thereby to regulate the gastric emptying and bow-el movement. Leptin seems to be a new gut hormone that has a close relationship with the function and dis-ease of gastrointestinal tract. This article reviews the relationship of leptin and gastrointestinal motility.
7.Clinical analysis of surgical treament for 352 patients with thyroid nodules
Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2012;19(21):3224-3225
Objective To summarize the experience of surgical treatment for thyroid nodules. Methods The clinical data of 352 patients with thyroid nodules who had received surgical treatment were collected and analyzed retrospectively. Results The post-operation pathological diagnosis showed these cases were composed of 182 thyroid adenomas,75 nodular goiters,38 adenomatous goiters,16 Hashimoto's diseases,40 papillary carcinomas and 1 follicular carcinoma.Surgical complications included 4 recurrent laryngeal nerve injuries,1 superior laryngeal nerve injury,1 chyle leak,2 neck hematomas,1 pneumoderma,2 wound infections,1 transient hypocalcemia and 1 death from tracheal collapse.9 cases of recurrence were observed. Conclusion Pre-operation evaluation of patients with thyroid nodules should be well performed in order to identify surgical indications.Appropriate surgical procedures and experienced surgical hands may help to reduce operation complications and recurrence rate.
8.Clinical analysis of 145 death cases from the department of emergency internal medicine
Clinical Medicine of China 2011;27(3):276-278
Objective To summarize and analyse the clinical data of death cases in the department of emergency internal medicine. Methods The clinical data of patients presenting at the department of emergency internal medicine from January 2005 to July 2010 were analyzed retrospectively. Results Among 13 211 patients of department of emergency internal medicine, 145 died. More cases died in winter( 32.0% , 39/122 ).More than half of deaths occurred within 6 hours after admission( 54.5% ,79/145 ). The top six death causes were sudden death, pulmonary infection, cerebrovascular accident, advanced cancer, gastrointestinal bleeding, cardiovascular diseases and the occurrence rates were 18. 6%, 13.8%, 13.8%, 10.3%, 9. 7% and 9.0%respectively. Conclusion The first three death causes in department of emergency internal medicine were sudden death, cerebrovascular accident, pulmonary infection. Prevention of these diseases, cooperation between emergency department and other departments and special training on standardized treatment of critically ill patients should be enhanced.
9.Phenomenological study of the experience of nursing undergraduate students during high-fidelity simulation training
Chinese Journal of Practical Nursing 2011;27(5):74-76
Objective To understand and explore the lived study feeling and experience of nursing undergraduate students during high- fidelity simulation training so as to provide the evidence of reforming teaching methods and performing the teaching practice of nursing educators. Methods Phenomenological study of qualitative research was used. In- depth interviews were conducted among 4 focus groups. 28 nursing undergraduate students were interviewed to understand their lived study feeling. Results 5 themes were emerged using Colaizzi's phenomenologic method, including cooperating explicitly, integrating theory with practice closely, promoting disease observation ability and nursing decision making, enhancing self-confidence. Conclusions High- fidelity simulation training was beneficial to integrate theory with practice, cultivate students' comprehensive ability and increase clinical practical opportunities.
10.Analysis of transvaginal color Doppler ultrasound in diagnosis for 69 patients with endometrival lesions
Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2011;18(14):1888-1889
Objective To analyze the sonographic characteristics of endometrial lesions to increase the diagnostic accuracy of the sonography. Methods 69 patients diagnosed as endometrial lesions by transvaginal color Doppler sonography(TVCDS) were retrospectively analyzed. The findings of TVGDS were compared with pathological diagnosis. Results The total diagnostic accordance rate of TVCDS was 91. 3% for endometrial lesions, including 93. 0% for endometrial polyps,91. 3% for endometrial hyperplasia,84. 2% for endometrial cancer, and 95. 0% for submucosal uterine fibroids respectively. In addition, the blood flow image rate and arterial resistance index(RI) had significant difference (P<0.05) between endometrial cancer and other benign lesions of endometrial, and all of these have obvious correlation with pathological findings. Conclusion TVCDS was an effective screening method for the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of endometrial lesions.
