1.Portable instrument for arteriosclerosis assessment.
Chinese Journal of Medical Instrumentation 2014;38(1):6-10
A portable instrument for arteriosclerosis assessment containing sensor module, acquisition board and embedded module was developed for home care in this paper. The sensor module consists of one ECG module and three pulse wave extraction modules, synchronously acquiring human ECG and pulse wave signal of carotid, radial, and dorsal, respectively. The acquisition board converts the sensor module's analog output signals into digital signals and transmits them to the embedded module. The embedded module realizes the functions including signal display, storage and the calculation and output of pulse wave velocity. The structure of the proposed portable instrument is simple, easy to use, and easy to expand. Small size, low cost, and low power consumption are also the advantages of this device. Experimental results demonstrated that the proposed portable instrument for arteriosclerosis assessment has high accuracy, good repeatability and can assess the degree of atherosclerosis appropriately.

2.The observation of normal uncinate process mucosa compared with inferior turbinate in epithelium ultrastructure.
Journal of Clinical Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery 2016;30(5):370-372
OBJECTIVE:
To observe the morphological differences between normal uncinate process(UP) mucosa and inferior turbinate mucosa, and explore the physiology function of the UP with the electron microscope.
METHOD:
The experiment chose 12 patients who have taken nasal endoscopic surgeries(8 cases for normal UP, 4 cases for normal inferior turbinate mucosa). During the surgery, take the mucosa upwards on the filter paper and immediately use scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy specimens for standard sample preparation methods. Observe the cilia shape, structure and the distribution and the swing direction.
RESULT:
(1)The internal side and the external side of UP mucosa and inferior turbinate mucosa are all pseudostratified ciliated columnar epithelium, the shapes of cilia are classic "9+2" structures. The distribution of cilia on internal and external lateral of UP and inferior turbinate mucosa are in high density. (2)The direction of cilia on normal inferior turbinate mucosa are generally swing to up and backwards; the cilia on internal lateral of the UP generally swing towards inner side, down and backwards; the cilia on external lateral of the UP generally swing towards down and backwards.
CONCLUSION
The cilia on internal side and the external side of UP mucosa and inferior turbinate mucosa are in the same structure and shape, but the swing direction of cilia have their own characteristics. It can be concluded that the internal and external lateral of UP may have different functions in nasal sinuses mucus cilia clearance system.

3.Perinatal infection and asthma in the infant
International Journal of Pediatrics 2010;37(1):20-22
Epidemiological and clinical studies have provided compelling evidence that suggests a link between the relative lack of infectious diseases and the increase in allergic disorders. Asthma usually starts early in life. The early occurrence of asthma suggests that prinatal influences are of importance.Prenatal or postnatal exposure to endotoxins and other bacterial products may protect against the development of asthma in the infant. We will briefly outline the current state of the relationship of the perinatal infection and asthma in the infant, and focus our review mainly on possible rneehanism of perinatal infection providing protection against asthma in the infant, such as Th1/Th2 immune system, transcription factors, protection by maternal antibodies, endotoxin tolerance, pulmonary inflammation and genetic influences.
4.Advances in moyamoya disease
International Journal of Cerebrovascular Diseases 2009;17(9):700-704
Moyamoya disease is a cerebrovascular disease that is characterized by the progressive stenosis in the terminal internal carotid artery, the anterior cerebral artery and the origin of the middle cerebral artery, and compensatory enlargement of basal perforating artery. Both the genetic and environmental factors involxe in its pathogenesis. but its exact cause is unknown. Revascularization is the main treatment approach for moyamoya disease. This article reviews the progress in research on epidemiology, etiology, diagnosis and treatment of moyamoya disease.
5.Analysis of the psychological impact of medical disputes on clinical doctors and a discussion of counter-measures
Chinese Journal of Hospital Administration 2009;25(7):473-475
Objective Identifying the factors of psychological pressure from medical disputes on clinical doctors and possible solutions. Methods Self-rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) and the Occupational Stress Indicator (OSI) were called into play, to study 52 clinical doctors in a tertiary hospital in a city, who had encountered medical disputes in recent two years. In parallel, 63 clinical doctors without such disputes and 50 non-clinical workers were randomly selected as the control group for questionnaires. Results Clinical doctors with such an experience were commonly found to be anxious, and their SAS score (58. 27±11.38)averaged higher than those in the control group. Doctor-patient relationship, legal liabilities and clinical positions were found to be positively correlated to psychological pressure of clinical doctors. Conclusions Medical disputes tend to add to psychological pressure of the doctors. Clinical doctors deserve psychological counseling and training and improvement of their working conditions.
6.Advances in the study of tumor suppressor genes in gliomas
China Oncology 2001;11(2):181-183
Glioma is the most malignant tumor in CNS, the effect of present therapy is poor. A important discovery in tumor molecular biology is that the activation of oncogene and inactivation of tumor suppressor gene play an important role in the mechanism of tumorgenesis. The advances in the study of tumor suppressor genes in gliomas were reviewed.

8.Down-regulation of miR-31-5p in human acute myeloid leukemia
Basic & Clinical Medicine 2017;37(4):537-542
Objective To study the expression and roles of miR-31-5p in acute myeloid leukemia (AML).Methods miR-31-5p in AML patients were evaluated by real-time PCR;THP-1 cells were transfected with the miR-31-5p mimic and control, respectively. The effects of over-expression of miR-31-5p were examined by CCK-8 and FACS analysis;Dual-luciferase and Western blot were performed to detect target gene HuR expression. The effects of knock-down of HUR were also examined by CCK-8 and FACS analysis. Results miR-31-5p was down-regulated in AML patients compared to the normal control.Over-expression of miR-31-5p in THP-1 cells reduces cell proliferation and accelerates monocytic differentiation.miR-31-5p could target HuR, and knock-down of HuR inhibits cell proliferation and attenuates monocytic differentiation in THP-1 cells. Conclusions miR-31-5p may regulate AML cell proliferation and monocytic differentiation by targeting HuR.
9.Application of antioxidant via nutrition suppourts in critical illness
Parenteral & Enteral Nutrition 1997;0(01):-
Oxidative stress induced injury mediated by active oxygen radicals(AOR) is one of important pathophysiologic characteristics in critical illness such as severe trauma, shock, sepsis and pancreatitis.Large amounts of AOR can be generated and the function of antioxidant system will be severely compromised with the result of an imbalance between oxidative and anti oxidative.Supplementation with anti oxidant via nutrition supports may be an important way to reduce oxidative stress induced injury in critical care. But there are some problems such as the timing, methods, dosage, safety and effectiveness of this regime.

Acta Anatomica Sinica 2002;0(06):-
Objective To determine whether NT 3 overexpression could abrogate DDP toxicity in vitro . Methods We constructed a herpes simplex virus(HSV) amplicon vector to transduce a c myc tagged version of rat NT 3. In the HSVnt 3myc vector, the chimeric neurotrophin cDNA was placed under the transcriptional control of the CMVIE promoter. The resultant vector was packaged utilizing the recently developed helper virus free method. Results Transduction of NT 3myc in cultured mouse cochlear explants at a multiplicity of infection(MOI) of 0 25 resulted in production of NT 3 up to 3?g/L over a 48 hours period. The mouse cochlear explants were transduced with HSVnt 3myc or HSVmiap(control vector expressing the reporter gene, murine intestinal alkaline phosphatase) for 48 hours and the exposed to cisplatin for 48 hours. The cochlear explants transduced with HSVnt 3myc had a significantly greater number of SGN survival than the control group. NT 3 powerfully enhanced the process length and the density of SGNs.Conclusion These data demonstrate that the neurotrophic cDNA transduction via HSV amplicon helper free virus system can attenuate the ototoxic action of DDP on organotypic culture. The potency of NT 3 in protecting spiral ganglion neurons from degenerating suggests that neurotrophins might be useful for the prevention or treatment of hearing disorders. [
