Objective To study the correlation between the rabbit glucocorticoid receptor(GR) and steroid-induced glaucoma(SIG).Methods The GR binding in peripheral blood leukocytes and plasma cortisol were measured in 15 adults pigmented rabbits on the first day of experiment, 0.5mg dexamethasone was injected in the right eyes of each rabbit once every 2 days, totally 15 times for 30 days. Right eyes intraocular pressure(IOP) and aqueous outflow facility were measured every week, the relation between GR, plasma cortisol, IOP and aqueous outflow facility(C) was analyzed. Results After the experiment the IOP increased by 0.67kPa±0.49kPa(P<0.01),C decreased by 0.08±0.11(P<0.01).GR may closely be related to IOP and C(r=0.56,P<0.025; r=0.60,P<0.01).Plasma cortisol was independent of IOP and C(r=0.27, P>0.05;r=0.34,P>0.05).Conclusion The level of GR has positive correlation with the sensitivity of tissue of eye to glucocorticoid.

The oligonucleotide primer having the 5’\|GCCGGTTATGGC AGCACGCTGACC\|3’ was synthesized, which encodes a main repetition motif of protein produced by the inaZ gene.PCR of the primer in the DNA of INA - and INA + bacteria and fungi was done. All of the DNA of INA - and INA + bacteria and fungi expressed bands, the results show that the primer did not work for distinguishing the INA - and INA + organisms and for identification of the ice nucleation activity of the INA organisms by the size and brightness of the PCR products.

Objective To evaluate the monitoring value of serum albumin and plasma von willebrand factor in patients with stroke. Methods Serum albumin and plasma von willebrand factor were measured from 145 patients with stroke(95 patients with nonpoor outcome and 50 patients with poor outcome) in two weeks and after six months from stroke onset to study the relationships with prognosis. Results Serum albumin level was significantly higher in patients with nonpoor outcome(mRS≤2) after six months stroke onset than those with poor outcome(mRS≥3) and was lower after six months stroke onset than in two weeks from stroke onset. On the other hand, plasma vWF level in patients with stroke was significantly higher than that in healthy controls and was higher in two weeks than after six months from stroke onset.Patients with poor outcome had higher plasma vWF level than patients with nonpoor outcome in two weeks and after six months from stroke onset, but had no significant difference. Conclusion The level of serum albumin and plasma von willebrand factor is related with nutritional status, active extent and prognosis in patients with stroke.

Objective: To explore the characteristics of acupoint selection in the treatment of apoplexy. Method:This paper reviews and analyzes the ancient and current medical literature, and then summarizes the characteris -tics of acupoint selection in treating apoplexy. Results:Four characteristics are presented: the acupoints on the head are mostly used; the acupoints are principally selected according to the course of nerves; the acupoints of the yang meridians are usually selected; the special acupoints and empirical acupoints are often combined. Conclusion: Above principles may be adopted in the selection of acupoints to treat apoplexy.

Objective To analyze the biological activity of bioactive peptides in human breast milk and to find the polypeptides so as to investigate the preventive and therapeutic effects of breast milk-derived bioactive peptides on neonatal necrotizing enterocolitis(NEC).Methods Six mothers who gave birth to preterm neonates were enrolled in this study and 5 mL of their breast milk secreted within 2-5 postnatal days were collected for 6 times and blended subsequently.Bioactive peptides from maternal milk of the preterm infants were separated by ultrafiltration and analyzed by using tandem mass spectrometry.Polypeptides possibly with biological function were screened out by using bioinformatics software and the protein function cluster online analysis software was used to predict the polypeptides associated with infection according to the biological function of their precursor proteins. The ATCC25922,an Escherichia coli strain commonly associated with infection in NEC and drug solution (sulbactarr/cefoperazone) were used to conduct the drug susceptibility testing and bactericidal kinetics testing,so as to verify the antibacterial effects of bioactive peptides in the breast milk. Results Four thousand three hundred and eleven peptides contained in breast milk were identified successfully,of which 1 370 were non-differential peptides, and 188 peptides possibly with biological activity and 11 peptides were associated with infection. The peptide compound in the breast milk had antimicrobial activity and bactericidal power against Escherichia coli. Conclusions The active peptide compounds in the breast milk have antimicrobial activity, which play an important role in the prevention of NEC.Finding the true antimicrobial peptides with in vivo and in vitro biological activity by using antimicrobial spectrum test is expected.
