One hundred and sixteen patients with lower limb fracture were screened by Doppler ultrasound for deep vein thrombosis(DVT) of bilateral lower extremities within the first 72 h, d7 and d21 after fracture. Results showed that DVT was detected in 31 (26. 7% ) out of 116 cases within 72 h; at d7 and d21 DVT was detected in 3 and 1 patient respectively with a cumulated DVT rate of 30. 2% in 3 weeks.Serial Doppler ultrasonography is of value in screening for DVT of the lower extremities in patients with lower limb fracture at early stage.

Journal of Practical Radiology 2001;0(10):-
Objective To analyse CT diagnosis of unusual closed retroperitoneal trauma so that to improve its diagnostic accuracy. Methods CT features of unusual closed retroperitoneal trauma confirmed by clinical data and surgery in 13 cases were analyzed. Results There were adrenal hematomas in 11 cases, among them,2 cases accompanied with renal arterial occlusion, appeared as renal arterial ruptured suddenly and "interface sign".The hematomas appeared as round, similar round or mass hyperdense shadows and in combination with periadrenal tissue injury;pancreatic rupture in 2 cases, appeared as linear area of low attenuation inside pancreas. Conclusion CT scan is an effective modality for diagnosing the unusual closed retroperitoneal trauma.Correct CT diagnosis is very important for the effective surgical treatment as well as reduction of severe complications and mortality of unusual closed retroperitoneal trauma.

OBJECTIVE:To study on the effect of iodine (I2) on the acid content titration in the preparations, and establish a method of eliminating I2 for accurate determination of total acid content. METHODS:Taking an example of Onychomycosis paint,I2 was reduced by sodium sulfide(Na2S)before titration analysis and compared with the standard method of traditional titration. Ac-cording to the two methods of consumption of different sodium hydrate(NaOH)volume, the effect of I2 on the determination of to-tal acid content in preparation was explored. RESULTS:Reduction method of Na2S can eliminate the effect of I2,the color of indica-tor changed acutely. The determined total acid and theoretical values were the same;the linear range of the concentration of total ac-id in onychomycosis paint was 3.926-7.290 mol/ml(r=0.9999);RSDs of precision, stability and reproducibility tests were no more than 0.04%;average recovery was 99.91%-100.10%(RSD=0.036%,n=6). CONCLUSIONS:I2 has effect on the determina-tion of total acid content, the disproportion reaction of I2 can generate hydriodic acid that can interfere acid-base titration's results, and the generated hydriodic acid can oxidize indicator to make the end point is not sensitive or even invariant color. Using Na2S can eliminate the effect of iodine on the preparation of acid titration, which has improved precision and reproducibility with accurate and reliable determination results.

Journal of Huazhong University of Science and Technology (Medical Sciences) 2008;28(2):171-3
To investigate the efficacy of a combination therapy on gluteal muscle contracture, 286 definitely diagnosed patients were subjected to surgical treatment, and then functional exercises and physical therapy. The patients with severe symptoms were asked to have a set of specially-designed functional exercises. All the patients were followed up for 3 to 24 months by hospital visit, correspondence or telephone interview. The effective rate was 100%, and the curative rate was up to 94.6%. Few patients developed complications and relapse was rare. It is concluded that the combination therapy, including surgical removal of diseased tissues, functional exercises and physical therapy, is an effective approach for the treatment of severe juvenile gluteal muscle contracture.

Chinese Circulation Journal 2016;31(6):604-605
Objective: To evaluate the diagnostic value of saline infusion test (SIT) in patients with primary aldosteronism (PHA). Methods: A total of 116 patients with PHA or essential hypertension (EH) treated in our hospital from 1994-06 to 2013-05 were retrospectively studied. The patients were divided into 2 groups: PHA group,n=72 and EH group, the patients with excluded PHA,n=44. post-SIT plasma levels of aldosterone and post-SIT ratio of aldosterone/renin activity were evaluated by ROC curve in order to analyze the diagnostic capability and the best diagnostic cut-off point. Results: The area under curve (AUC) by ROC for post-SIT aldosterone level was 0.759, the sensitivity and speciifcity were 74.6% and 63.6% respectively; AUC for post-SIT ratio of aldosterone/renin activity was 0.899, the sensitivity and speciifcity were 83.6% and 88.6% with the best diagnostic cut-off point at 111 [ng/dl:ng/(ml?h)]. Conclusion: Post-SIT plasma level of aldosterone and post-SIT ratio of aldosterone/renin activity had the diagnostic value of PHA; post-SIT ratio of aldosterone/renin activity had the higher diagnostic value of PHA.

Objective:To explore the level of arterial stiffness and its influencing factors in prediabetic population. Methods:From June 2021 to June 2022, 207 prediabetes patients were prospectively and randomly recruited from the physical examination center and outpatient clinic of Tangdu Hospital of Air Force Military Medical University to be the prediabetic group and 130 healthy volunteers at the same time with the same gender and age as the healthy controls. The carotid-femoral pulse wave velocity (PWV), brachial-radial PWV, and femoral-ankle PWV were measured by an automatic ultrasonic arterial stiffness measurement technology. The common carotid artery wall intima-media thickness (IMT) and left heart function were routinely evaluated. A questionnaire was designed to investigate the subjects′ smoking, drinking, diet, staying up late, exercise and other living habits. Comparison between groups and multivariate linear regression analysis were used to analyze the relevant data. Results:The carotid-femoral PWV and common carotid artery wall IMT in prediabetic group were significantly higher than those in healthy controls [(7.10±2.00)m/s vs (6.26±1.14)m/s, (0.57±0.11)mm vs (0.51±0.08)mm; both P<0.001], but there were no significant differences in the brachial-radial PWV and femoral-ankle PWV between the two groups (both P>0.05). Multivariate linear regression analysis showed that prediabetes was an independent influencing factor in carotid-femoral PWV after adjusting for confounding factors ( P<0.001), in addition, age ( P<0.001), diastolic blood pressure ( P<0.001), staying up late ( P=0.011) and low density lipoprotein cholesterol ( P=0.022) were also the independent influencing factors of carotid-femoral PWV. Conclusions:Compared with healthy people, the stiffness of aorta is significantly increased in prediabetic people, but there is no significant change in the stiffness of peripheral arteries. Prediabetes, age, diastolic blood pressure, staying up late and low density lipoprotein cholesterol are independent influencing factors of carotid-femoral PWV.
