Objective To observe the effect of octreotide combined with percutaneous catheter drainage on pancreatic pseudocyst ( PPC ) .Methods 89 patients choosen with PPC were randomly divided into the octreotide combined with percutaneous catheter drainage group(observation group,n=43) and octreotide group (control group, n=46).The control group were subcutaneous injected octreotide 0.1mg q 8 h.The observation group were subcutane-ous injected octreotide 0.1mg q 8 h with ultrasound or CT-guided percutaneous drainage for 4 weeks to place more drainage tubes when there were multiple cysts,drainage not free when washing drainage tube and drainage tube posi-tion adjustment.After 4 weeks rechecked the pancreas CT and curative effect was analyzed.Results The observation group cure rate and total effective rate were 65%,100%,the average hospitalization time was (16.8 ±12.1) d.The control group were 39%,85%,(26.8 ±19.4) d,the differences between the two groups were statistically significant(χ2 =6.01,χ2 =7.10,t=2.89,P<0.05,P<0.01).Conclusion Octreotide combined percutaneous catheter drainage on PPC has good curative effect,small trauma,high success rate,less complications,shorter hospitalization time.It is the preferred method for the treatment of PPC.

To investigate the effects of Tongxinluo capsule on sciatic nerve apoptosis in spontaneous type II diabetic KK/Upj-Ay mice, in order to explore its mechanism for improving diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN). KK/Upj-Ay mice were selected as the DPN animal model and randomly divided into the model, Tongxinluo low, middle and high group (1, 2, 4 g x kg(-1)). C57BL/6 mice were selected as the control group. Mice were given intragastrically for 12 weeks. Paw withdrawal latency, motor nerve conduction velocity (MNCV) and sensory nerve conduction velocity (SNCV) were detected. Apoptotic rate were detected by FCM. Bcl-2, Bax, Caspase-3 mRNA and protein expression in sciatic nerve were examined by Real-time PCR and Western blot. p38MAPK, p-p38MAPK expression were examined by Western blot. In this study,the authors found that Tongxinluo capsule could increase paw withdrawal latency, MNCV and SNCV. Apoptotic rate of sciatic, the expression of Bax and caspase-3 were lower, while Bcl-2 expression was higher in Tongxinluo group than those in model mice. The expression of p-p38MAPK significantly decreased in Tongxinluo group. The results showed that Tongxinluo capsule has protective effects on diabetic peripheral neuropathy of mice via inhibiting cell apoptosis and suppressing the expression of p-p38MAPK.

As a type of neuroendocrine tumors, neuroblastoma (NB) is the most common extra-cranial solid tumor of childhood.123/131I-MIBG scintigraphy is a standard imaging modality in staging and evaluating therapeutic effect of pediatric NB with high accuracy.131I-MIBG treatment is effective for children with high-risk and relapsed/refractory NB.Combined with chemotherapy, stem cell transplantation, 131I-MIBG treatment shows efficacy in decreasing the relapse of pediatric NB.This review summarizes the application of MIBG scintigraphy and 131I-MIBG treatment for pediatric NB.

Objective To explore the value of cardiac troponin I (cTnI) and creatine phosphokinase-isoenzyme-MB (CK-MB) on early diagnosis of heart damage in asphyxia neonate.Methods A total of 47 cases of asphyxia neonates were divided into mild-asphyxia group( n=29 ) and severe-asphyxia group(n=18),and the levels of cTnI and CK-MB were quantitatively determinated by ELISA and enzyme kinetics, respectively.Results After birth for the first day, the serum levels of cTnI and enzymatic activities of CK-MB were all significantly higher in mild-asphyxia group[(2.25?0.54)?g/L,(223.4?23.5)U/L]and severe-asphyxia group[(4.25?0.83)?g/L,(256.3?21.8) U/L)]than those in control group(P_a0.05), however the results in severe-asphyxia group[(1.54?0.72)?g/L,(188.9?21.5)U/L]were significantly higher than those in control group (P_a

Objective: To study the compatible stability of cyclophosphamide (CTX) and Mesna admixture for injection in 4 commonly used infusions (5% glucose injection,0.9% sodium chloride injection,fructose injection and xylitol injection) at different temperatures.Methods: An HPLC method was adopted to determine the contents of CTX for injection in 24h respectively under 5℃ and 25℃.The appearance and pH value of the admixture were investigated.Results: No significant changes of appearance, pH value or content of the admixture were found out in 24h under 5℃ and 25℃.Conclusion: CTX and Mesna admixture for injection is compatible with the 4 commonly used infusions under 5℃ and 25℃ for clinical use in 24 h.

Objective To investigate the effect of postoperative TSH suppression on bone mineral density (BMD) in postmenopausal women with DTC.Methods Postmenopausal women with postoperative DTC underwent thyroid residual ablation or 131I treatment for metastases at Xin Hua Hospital between September 2009 and December 2014 were enrolled and followed for 2 years.They were divided into suppressive TSH group (median TSH＜0.30 mU/L;group 1) and non-suppressive group (median TSH≥0.30 mU/L;group 2).Lumber 1-4 BMD levels (T scores) were measured by a dual energy X-ray absorptiometry bone densitometer at baseline,1 year and 2 years after treatment.All patients had calcium and vitamin D supplementation after TSH suppression.The T scores were compared with Mann-Whitney u test and Kruskal-Wallis test.Results A total of 126 patients were enrolled and followed up for 2 years,including 65 with average age (57.65±6.65) years in group 1 and 61 with average age (56.19±7.17) years in group 2.The T scores in group 1 and group 2 at baseline were-1.70(-2.30,-0.55) and-1.30(-2.10,-0.30) (z=-1.660,P＞ 0.05).The difference of T scores was significant in group 1 at baseline,1-year follow-up and 2-year follow-up (-2.25(-2.48,-0.83),-1.95(-2.70,-0.60);H=6.244,P＜0.05),but not significantly different in group 2 (H=1.102,P＞0.05).The T values were different between the 2 groups both in 1-year follow-up and 2-year follow-up (z values:-2.170,-2.160,both P＜0.05).Conclusions TSH suppression significantly increases the risk of postoperative osteoporosis.The BMD should be followed up annually in postmenopausal DTC patients.

Based on hydroxyapatite (HAP), a kind of antimicrobial ceramic, i.e. hydroxyapatite loading Ag+ ions (HAP-Ag), is prepared in a wet chemical process with the addition of AgNO3. The X-ray diffraction analysis shows that the HAP-Ag is mainly composed of nitrate-apatite, which is formed by the substitution of Ca2+ with Ag+. The antimicrobial effects of the HAP-Ag and its resistibility against the acrobic Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus are tested respectively through the spread plate method. The results show that HAP-Ag is capable of inhibiting the growths of E.coli and S.aureus.

Background Researches have demonstrated that ocular hypertension induces the ischemia-reperfusion of retina and further leads to the degeneration of retinal ganglion cells,but its mechanism is beyond understanding.Objective The present study aims to observe the effects of static pressure on the morphology,proliferation activity and viability of cultured retinal microvascular endothelial cells (RMECs) and evaluate the expression of ET-1 and NO in these cells under variant static pressure.Methods RMECs were isolated from 30 healthy Wistar rats and cultured using explant culture method by Ⅷ factor antibody and PECAM-1 antibody.The static pressure of 1.33kPa,2.67kPa,5.33kPa and 10.67kPa was used in culture bottle respectively.The RMECs without static pressure were used as normal control group.The morphology of RMECs under the different static pressure was observed by inverted phase contrast microscopy,and the number of RMECs was counted using the counting plate.Cellular viability was studied by trypan blue staining.The changes of ET-1 and NO_2~-/NO_3~-,two metabolic products of NO,in the medium were detected by radioimmunoassay and Griess's nitrate reductase method.The expression of ET-1,eNOS and iNOS mRNA in RMECs was analyzed by semi-quantitative RT-PCR 24 hours after treatment of variant static pressure.Results Cultured RMECs sticked well at 24 hours and reached to confluence at 48 hours and showed the red fluorescence for Ⅷ factor antibody and PECAM-1 antibody.Enlargement of nuclei,extenders of cell bodies and suspension of RMECs in medium were observed.The number of RMECs was gradually increased.The cell viability was reduced with the raise of static pressure among these four groups(F=12.205,P＜0.01;F=11.180,P＜0.01).The static pressure increased the content of ET-1 released by RMECs in 2.67kPa,5.33kPa and 10.67kPa of static pressure groups,and concentrations of NO_2~-/NO_3~- in the medium showed a significant increase in 5.33kPa and 10.67kPa of static pressure groups compared with normal and 1.33kPa of static pressure groups(P＜0.01).The expressions of ET-1 mRNA,eNOS mRNA and iNOS mRNA were considerably enhanced in 5.33kPa and 10.67kPa of static pressure groups compared with normal control group(P＜0.01).Conclusion Raised static pressure causes the alteration of RMGCs structure and morphology.Static pressure could upregulate the expressions of ET-1,eNOS and iNOS mRNA in RMECs and increase the release of ET-1 and NO.This pathway might be one of pathologic mechanisms of retinal injury induced by high intraocular pressure.
