1.A toxicological study of Fuyuan capsule

Objective: To observe the acute toxicity and the long-period toxicity reaction of Fuyuan Capsule(FYC) to provide the reference dosage for human beings. Methods:Tests of acute oral toxicity: 40 mice (Kun Ming kind) were randomly divided into two groups,the drug test group and the control group. The maximum administration dosage(MAD) of FYC were determined by iq administration in mice. Tests of long oral toxicity:80 SD rats were randomly divided into four groups:high,middle,and low dose of FYC group and control group.FYC was continuously administered for 90 days.Rats were given drugs every day. When the experiment was finished and withdrawed for 14 days,rats were killed and the growth condition,blood cell counting and biochemical targets were measured.Histomorphologieal examination were simultaneously performed. Results:The MAD of FYC by iq administration was greater than 30g/kg in mice.In the long-period toxicity test,after administered repeatedly for 90 days,in high dose group AST,ALT and Crea increased(P

3.Research on the Mechanism of Social Responsibility Improvement among Medical Students in the Perspective of Medical Charity

Objective:To meet the multitier needs of medical students′ health and health career development through the establishment of relevant mechanisms for medical charity and strengthening the social responsibility theme education among medical students. Methods:The present study was conducted in a stratified sample using the method of investigation mainly. The questionnaire was self -conducted; in the end 967 valid questionnaires were collected and combined with 48 relevant interviews. The data was analyzed using SPSS l6. 0. Results: The current positive trends of social responsibility among medical students are gratifying. The students had correct atti-tude to study but the initiative needed to be improved. The professional cognition was optimistic but the morality emphasis needed to be strengthened. The capacity cognitive was clearly but the awareness of accountability needs to be improved. The social consciousness was intense but responsibility needed to be strengthened. The life value was positive but the physical and mental health needed concerns. And it was needed to further strengthen social respon-sibility education. Conclusion: We should make full use of the excellent resources of the Affiliated Hospital of Medical College. With the medical charity starting point, the social responsibility should be strengthened through the Five in One promotion mechanism that including the culture education leading, clinical practice inspiring, social practice annealing, campus culture edifying, and powers of role model effecting.
4.Study on the relationship between heme oxygenase-1 and glutathione S-transferase and cerebral atherosclerosis

Objective To investigate the relationship between heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1),glutathione S-transferase (GST) and cerebral atherosclerosis.Methods Cerebralvascular status was assessed with color flow Doppler sonography,transcranial Doppler (TCD),magnetic resonance angiography (MRA)or/and digital subtraction angiography (DSA) in patients with cerebral atherosclerosis (mild,moderate,and severity).Serum HO-1 and GST were measured with enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).Results In comparison between case and control groups,there was significant difference in age,hypertension,cerebral infarction,uric acid,and HO-1 (P =0.041,0.008,0.000,0.036,and 0.001).The level of serum HO-1 in the severe atherosclerosis was lower than that in the mild and moderate atherosclerosis (P =0.000 and 0.002).Logistic regression was used to find the association of HO-1 and the degree of cerebral atherosclerosis (P =0.000).Conclusions HO-1 might be related to cerebral atherosclerosis.

6.Effects of Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation Combined with Biofeedback Non Motor Symptoms on Serum Levels of IL-6, CRP and TNF-α in Patients with Parkinson's Disease

Objective:To investigate the Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation combined with biofeedback non motor symptoms on clinical effects and serum levels of IL-6,CRP and TNF-α of Parkinson's disease.Methods:84 cases of Parkinson's disease in our hospital were randomly divided into experimental group and control group,with 42 cases in each group.The control group were treated with EMG and EEG biofeedback,while the experimental group were treated with repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation on the basis of the control group.Then the serum levels of C reactive protein (CRP) and interleukin-6 (IL-6) and tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α),the non motor symptoms questionnaire (NMSQuest),Parkinson's disease Sleep Scale (PDSS) and Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD) score in the two groups were observed and compared before and after the treatment.Results:Compared with before treatment,the serum levels of CRP,IL-6 and TNF-α,the NMSQuest and HAMD in the two groups decreased after the treatment,while the PDSS score increased,and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05);Compared with the control group,the serum levels of CRP,IL-6 and TNF-α,NMSQuest and HAMD in the experimental group were lower,while the PDSS score was higher,and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion:Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation combined with biofeedback can reduce the serum levels of IL-6,CRP and TNF-α in patients with Parkinson's disease,which has better clinical effect on the non motor symptoms.
7.Study on the Cognition of Undergraduates on Advance Directives in Medical Undergraduates

Objective:To explore the cognition of undergraduates on advance directives in a medical universi -ty, and to analyze the affect factors on cognition status of advance directives .Method: Total 594 undergraduates were selected by stratified cluster random sampling and this study conducted a face to face interview using self -de-signed questionnaire .Results: The cognitive status on advance directives was poor .This study found the inde-pendent variables of the gender , religion, the self-reported health, the average monthly living expenditure , the survival time and quality choice and the type of health insurance were the effect factors (P<0.05).Conclusion:the undergraduates′cognitive status on advance directives was poor in this medical university , and we need adopt relevant measures to improve the cognitive of undergraduates on advance directives .
8.Effect of metabolic syndrome on the imagings of brain damage in patients with subcortical ischemic vascular disease

Objective To investigate the effect of metabolic syndrome and its components on imaging of brain impairment in subcortical ischemic vascular disease.Methods 120 patients with subcortical ischemic vascular disease (SIVD) including 25 cases without metabolic syndrome,25 cases with the risk of metabolic syndrome,70 cases with metabolic syndrome.The diagnostic criteria of metabolic syndrome was the National Cholesterol Education Program Adult Treatment Panel Ⅲ (NCEP-ATP Ⅲ).Brain MRI was assessed by the Scheltens scale,and divided into 3 regions:periventricular hyper intensities (PVH),leukoaraiosis (LA),basal ganglia hyper-intensities (BG).Results The assessment scores of PVH,LA,BG and Scheltens scores were higher in patients with the risk of metabolic syndrome and patient with metabolic syndrome than in patient without metabolic syndrome [(3.75±1.60),(4.21±1.09) us.(2.76±1.62),(10.67±5.26),(13.79±5.25) us.(6.36±3.93),(3.21±2.62),(6.90±4.25) us.(1.52±1.50),(17.62±8.32),(24.90±9.25)vs.(10.58± 5.89),respectively,all P<0.05].Waist circumference had positive correlations with LA and Scheltens scores (r=0.185,P=0.046; r=0.488,P<0.001).Positive correlation was found between triglyceride (TG) and LA,BG scores (r=0.188,P=0.042; r=0.311,P =0.001).The positive correlations of impaired glucose tolerance (IGT) with LA,BG and Scheltens scores were found (r=0.235,P=0.011; r=0.229,P=0.013; r=0.206,P=0.027).High density lipoproteincholesterol (HDL-C) was correlated negatively with LA,BG and Scheltens scores (r=-0.238,P=0.010;r=-0.189,P=0.042; r=-0.335,P<0.001).The further multivariate linear regression analysis showed that IGT,HDL-C had significant correlations with LA assessment score (both P<0.05),TG had significant correlation with BG assessment score (P<0.05),and waist circumfernce,IGT,HDL-C had significant correlations with Scheltens scores (all P< 0.05).Conclusions Metabolic syndrome and its components correlate with the imagings of cerebral damage in SIVD.Abdominal obesity,TG,IGT,HDL-C are the important risk factors for SIVD.
9.Relationship between cytomegalovirus infection and heart rate variability in elderly patients with atherosclerosis

Objective To investigate the correlation between cytomegalovirus infection and heart rate variability (HRV) in elderly patients with atherosclerosis.Methods 160 patients with coronary heart disease who met World Health Organization diagnostic criteria for coronary heart disease in 1979 were collected.According to the IMTHCMV PP65 antigen test results,patients were divided into positive group (observation group,n=103) and negative group (control group,n=57).We detected the levels of of HRV,metalloprotease-9 (MMP 9) and tumor necrosis factor α (TNF-α) in the two groups in order to access the plaque stability.Results The all sinus standard deviation of RR interval (SDNN),standard deviation of the average NN interval (SDANNI),mean value of sinus standard deviation of RR interval (SDNNI) were lower in observation group than in control group (P <0.05).There were no significant differences in square root of the mean squared differences of successive NN intervals (RMSSD) level and percentage of differences exceeding 50ms between adjacent normal number of intervals (PNN50) between the two groups (P>0.05).The levels of total cholesterol and low density lipoprotein were higher and the levels of MMP 9 AND TNF α were lower in observation group than in the control group (all P<0.05).Compared with control group,the plaque stability was decreased in observation group [20.4% (21/103) vs.61.4% (35/57),x2=4.273,P=0.015].Conclusions Patients with atherosclerosis combined with cytomegalovirus infection have a greater heart rate variability and poorer plaque stability.
10.The study about plasma biochemical index among the hypertension in Xining area

Objective To study the plasma biochemical indexes among the hypertension in Xining area.Methods According to diagnosis standard of hypertension,104 males who emigrated to Xining area were divided into hypertension group and control group,height,weight,blood routine,renal function,blood lipid of the two groups were measured.Results Among the 104 subjects, 17 cases were hypertensive patients,and other 87 cases were served as control group.The body weight,blood uric acid levels in hy-pertension group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P <0.05),the other indexes had no significant difference between two groups.Conclusion The uric acid may be a risk factor for hypertension people living in plateau area,and the mecha-nism need to be further studied.
