〔Abstract〕 By use of the decision tree algorithm and diagnostic indexes , the paper sets up the discrimination rules to make differential diagnosis of Primary Hepatocelluar Carcinoma ( PHC) based on basic data of 95 patients with PHC and 190 patients with liver cirrhosis , in-cluding the CT diagnosis, testing results of imaging and serologic markers such as the HbsAg , AFP, CEA and AFU, sex and age, etc.As indicated by the results , the data mining technology represented by the decision tree can support the differential diagnosis of PHC .

The great changes taking place in the environment of academic library were analyzed from the aspects of networked information environment, knowledge-based user needs and homogenized library resources. The main up-date development characteristics of academic library were described according to the current development situation in foreign and domestic academic libraries as revealed in our investigation, such as e-only of library resources, knowledge-based and embedded information service, associated, semantic and integrated information organization, incorporation of primary information resources into institutional knowledge property management, digital library emerged in scientific data monitoring centers, SoLoMo as the concept for creating the next generation mobile library service. It was pointed out that academic library will become the user-oriented knowledge service center that provides user-driving knowledge service and intelligent knowledge service in an all-inclusive knowledge management manner. It is thus necessary for academic library to attach more importance on the information needs of scientific workers, to strengthen the user-oriented professional work layout, application of information technology, interlibrary coopera-tion and resources-sharing, and to improve the information literacy of librarians.

Objective A morphometric study was carried out on GABAergic neurons and astrocytes in primary auditory cortex of 4 young cats (1-3 years old, 20-2.5 kg) and 4 old cats (10-13-year-old, 3-3.5 kg), in order to explore the age-related changes and the probably physical effects underlying these changes. Methods The same regions of the primary auditory cortex (AI) were comparatively studied. Nissl staining and immunohistochemical methods were applied to explore the differences of GABAergic neurons and astrocytes(specifically labeled by GFAP as a mark as antibody) in the primary auditory cortex(Al) between young and old cats. Serial cross-sections from two age groups were stained with Nissl for layer structure observation and demonstration of neurons; Adjacent sections were stained with anti_GABA immunohistochemistry for localizing and characterizing GABAergic and with anti-GFAP for astrocytes in AI. Results The diameter, density and number of GABAergic neurons in Al of old cats declined significantly compared with the counterpart in young cats, especially in layers Ⅱ,Ⅲ of AI; but the change in GFAP-IR cells was reversed: old cats showed clearly larger number and stronger staining of GFAP-IR cells than that in young cats. The GFAP-IR cell bodies and dendrites swelled obviously in old cats, especially in layer Ⅰ of AI and in white matter. Conclusion The result presented a direct morphological evidence for weakness of GABAergic intracortical inhibition, which is considered to be a possible mechanism for age-related acoustic function decline. The enhanced function of astrocytes may play an important role in decreasing the GABA content in AI of the old individuals.

Journal of Third Military Medical University 2003;0(10):-
Objective To improve the methods for in vitro generating dendritic cells (DCs) from mouse bone marrow and to identify it with morphological, phenotype determination. Methods Cells isolated from mice bone marrow were cultured in GM-CSF (20 ng/ml), differentiating into dendritic cells. Morphological changes were observed by optical phase contrast microscopy, and surface molecules including CD11 C, CD80, MHCⅡ were detected by FACS. Results A large number of typical DCs were observed after culturing for 10 d. FACS analysis showed that the amplified DCs could express CD11 C, CD80, MHCⅡ. Conclusion A large quantity of highly pure BM-DC can be obtained by this method.

OBJECTTo study the significance of the ultra-high power microscope in the examination of vaginal discharge.
METHODSBy the ACT-2000 ultra-high power microscope system and Olympus CX21 microscope, the vaginal discharge of 1,100 gynaecology out-patients was examined respectively.
RESULTSThe positive rate of mould in the patients was 11.55% by CX21 and was 20.27% by ACT-2000, respectively. The positive rate of trichomonas vaginalis was 2.55% by CX21 and 3.0% by ACT-2000, respectively. The clue cell was detected in 11.27% of the patients by ACT-2000, but no such cell reported by CX21. Totally, positive results were obtained in 14.09% of the patients by CX21 and 32.55% by ACT-2000.
CONCLUSIONBy using the ultra-high power microscope, the positive result can be increased obviously in the examination of vaginal discharge. It is very important in clinical practices.

10. Antedisplacement and fixation of thoracic vertebra-ossification of posterior longitudinal ligament complex for treatment of severe multi-level thoracic ossification of posterior longitudinal ligament
Academic Journal of Second Military Medical University 2020;41(1):63-68
Objective: To introduce a technical innovation for the treatment of severe multi-level thoracic ossification of posterior longitudinal ligament (OPLL). Methods: The detailed surgical procedure included isolation of vertebra-OPLL complex (VOC), implantation of screws and rods, and antedisplacement of the VOC. A patient diagnosed as multi-level thoracic OPLL with myelopathy was treated by this technique and the outcomes were reported. Results: Neurological outcomes achieved an evident improvement, with the recovery rate of modified-Japanese Orthopaedic Association score being 75%. The operation took 480 min and the intraoperative bleeding was 1 000 mL. Postoperative computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging showed sufficient decompression of spinal cord. The occupation ratio of spinal canal improved from 86.6% to 58.8% in T2/3, and from 68.2% to 45.9% in T3/4. Conclusion: Posterior thoracic vertebra-OPLL complex antedisplacement and fixation is a feasible, theoretically safe and effective surgical option for the treatment of severe multi-level thoracic OPLL with myelopathy. The operation is simple and performed outside the spinal canal, and no ossified mass is removed. However, further studies with large-scale cases and control groups are required to reveal the applicability and safety of this technique.
