To determine the change of myocardial perfusion and metabolism after intramyocardial administration of VEGF 165 cDNA, 36 dogs were randomly divided into 3 groups( n =12): VEGF 165 cDNA plasmid groups non VEGF 165 cDNA plasmid group, and myocardial infarction as control group. The results showed that the amount of perfusion and intake of FDG of anterial, anterial lateral and anterial septum walls of left vetricle at 4th and 8th week in VEGF 165 cDNA plasmid group were larger than those in control group ( P

Objective To study the correlation between the ADC value and Fenh value,Senh value based on DWI and DCE-MRI, by measuring them in sacroiliac joint bone marrow of healthy volunteers. Methods 21 healthy volunteers performing the sacroiliac joint MR were involved.ADC value based on DWI,and TIC based on DCE-MRI were measured. The relationship of ADC values with Fenh,Senh values and peak to time,Tmax values were analyzed. Results The differences of the measured ADC values on both sides of the sacroiliac joint bone marrow region were not statistically significant (P>0.05).There were three types of TIC curve,8.3% (7/84)Ⅰ type,8.3% (7/84)Ⅱ type,83.3% (70/84)Ⅲtype;Fenh,Senh average values were within 20%

AIM: To examine the effect of compound salvae-dropping-pill (CSDP) on intracellular free calcium in cultured rat myocardial cells subjected to hypoxia and reoxygenation.METHODS: The Fluo- 3/AM was applied to probe intracellular calcium concentration and the fluorescent intensity was detected using laser confocal microscopy technique.RESULTS: Fluorescent intensity in hypoxia plus CSDP group was significantly lower (1 217 78?312 07) than that of hypoxia group (1 509?508 48), and the Fluorescent intensity of hypoxia/reoxygenation plus CSDP group was also markedly lower (1 567.91?577 61) than that of hypoxia/reoxygenation group (1 617.60?477.53).CONCLUSION: The cultured rat myocardial cells could be effectively protected by administration of CSDP in case of hypoxia and reoxygenation through decreasing the intracellular calcium concentration. Objective:To investigate the effect of liquiritin on the apoptosis of amygdala cell and the expression of apoptosis-related factors Bax and Bcl-2 protein in rats with post-stroke depression (PSD).Methods:Sixty rats were randomly divided into normal control group, stroke group, PSD group, citalopram group, liquiritin group, and normal saline control group ( n=10 in each group). The middle cerebral artery was occluded with a suture method to induce focal cerebral ischemia, and the PSD model was established by chronic and unpredictable mild stress stimulation and orphanism. At the same time every week after the model was made, the weight of rats in each group was measured and the depression behavior was evaluated, including sucrose water test and open field test. At 6 weeks after the model was made, TUNEL staining was used to detect the apoptosis of amygdala cell, immunofluorescence staining was used to detect the expression of Bax and Bcl-2 in the amygdala, and Western blot analysis was used to detect the protein expression of Bax and Bcl-2 in the amygdala. Results:Compared with the liquiritin group, citalopram group and normal control group, the body weight and sucrose solution preference of rats in the stroke group, PSD group and normal saline control group were decreased, and the horizontal and vertical movements in open field test were decreased; the differences were statistically significant (all P<0.01). TUNEL staining results showed that compared with the liquiritin group, citalopram group and normal control group, the number of apoptotic cells was significantly increased in the stroke group, PSD group, and normal saline control group; the difference was statistically significant (all P<0.01). The results of immunofluorescence staining showed that compared with the liquiritin group, citalopram group and normal control group, the number of bcl-2 immunoreactive cells in amygdala of the stroke group, PSD group and normal saline control group was significantly decreased, while the number of Bax immunoreactive cells was significantly increased; the difference was statistically significant (all P<0.01). Western blot analysis showed that compared with the liquiritin group and citalopram group, the expression of bcl 2 protein in amygdala of the stroke group, PSD group and normal saline control group was significantly decreased, while the expression of Bax protein was significantly increased; the difference was statistically significant (all P<0.01). Conclusion:Liquiritin can alleviate the symptoms of PSD, and its mechanism may be related to inhibiting the apoptosis of amygdala cells and regulating the expression of apoptosis-related factors.

From 2006 to 2008, the susceptibility of different species of animal hosts to Campyebacter jejubni infection was observed in various areas of Jiangsu province, in which the API Campy System was used to perform the biochemical identification and the multiple PCR assay was employed to analyse the C.jejuni isolates from 3010 specimens of fouls. Cattle, pigs and monkeys, and in addition, the susceptibility of isolates to various antibiotics was also determined. In these specimens investigated 402 samples were found to be positive in the detection of C.jejuni with a positive detection rate of 13.36%. The positive detection rates in chicken, water fouls, milk cows, pigs, monkey, red crowned crane and wapiti were 15.83% (258/1630), 10.4% (52/100), 8.24% (42/510), 15.63% (25/160), 15% (15/100), 12.5% (15/80) and 0% (0/30) respectively. Meanwhile, the antibiotics to which the isolates from different hosts showed high rate of sensitivity to 27 antibiotics of 10 varieties included: chloromycetin (100%), Almocylin (99.7%), amicarcin (92.59%), cefprozil (91.67%), alchimycin (90.74%); while the antibiotics to which these isolates showed high rate of resistance were compound neoromin (99.7%), cefoperazone (99.07%), trimethoprim (97.22%), cepronatin (91.67%), cepromondo (99,07%) respectively. It is evident that the susceptibility of different hosts to C.jejuni infection and the status of drug-resistance of the isolates appear to be quite different and more complicated in Jiangsu province.
