Objective To know the current situation and its related risk factors for hypertension in elderly residents in Wendeng City. Methods In August, 2008, with a multi-stage stratified random sampling method, 3 415 residents aged 35 yrs were investigated by questionnaire with the "Health information record" of the national integrated chronic diseases prevention and control techniques, and taken physical examination, blood pressure test and related risk factors for hypertension by single-and multivariate analysis of Logistic regression analysis. Results Of the 3 415 residents aged over 35 yrs, 1 257 suffered from hypertension, the prevalence rate was 39.87%, and the standardized prevalence rate was 37.68%, and prevalence rate of hypertension increased with age (?2=285.54, P

Major depressive disorder (MDD) is a mental disorder with high prevalence, morbidity and recurrence rate. The treatment goal of acute stage is to achieve remission, which means asymptomatic. However, clinical treatments and studies found impairment of psychosocial functioning still exists even after remission, which means incomplete recovery. As is known, the normalization of psychosocial functioning is essential to the recovery and the recurrence prevention of MDD.In order to provide reference and guidance for the clinical treatments and studies,we reviewed the related studies and found many kinds of factors influencing the restoration of psychosocial functioning, including demographic factors, diseases related factors, psychological factors, social factors and therapeutic approaches. However, few interior studies focused on the recovery of MDD,and the results of foreign studies were inconsistent, while the understanding of how those factors influence the recovery of MDD is not clear enough. In order to make the characteristics of psychosocial functioning recovery and mechanisms of the influencing factors clear, more in-depth studies should be done in the future.

Objective To explore the correlations of diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) types and the degree of neurologic impairment in acute ischemic stroke patients with atrial fibrillation. Methods DWI images and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale(NIHSS) of 186 patients with acute ischemic stroke patients with atrial fibrillation were collected retrospectively. The correlation of DWI features and NIHSS was analyzed. Results On DWI,all acute ischemic stroke patients with atrial fibrillation presented high signal intensity.Single cortex-subcortical infarction mostly appeared in the anterior circulation(94,50.5%);Multi-infarction commonly occurred in the posterior circulation(18,13.0%);The neurological deficit scores of subcortical-cortex infarction in the left anterior circulation(16.75±7.10) were higher than that in the right side(13.50±5.70)(P<0.05).The neurological deficit scores of cortex-subcortical infarction in the posterior circulation (6.38±2.03) were significantly lower than that in the multi-infarction (16.77±8.90) (P<0.05).Conclusion DWI types are valuable for etiological diagnosis in ischemic stroke.Combination with NIHSS score could provide a basis for clinical individual treatment programs selection and prognostic evaluation.

OBJECTIVETo evaluate the structural characteristics and biocompatibility of a novel nano-Ta-Ti alloy rod for its potential application in internal fixation.
METHODSTa coating of a Ti alloy rod with nano-Ta (tantalum) powder was performed using laser melting with symmetrical grooves repleted with nano-Ta powder along the whole length. The microstructure of the cross section of Ta-Ti alloy rod, pore diameter and components of the coating were analyzed using scanning electron microscopy. The influence of this nano-Ta-Ti alloy on proliferation and differentiation of MC3T3-E1 cells was evaluated by MTT cytotoxicity test and ALP activity test.
RESULTSUnder scanning electron microscope, the Ta-coating surface presented with a gross porous (200-300 µm) structure with dense fusion between Ta particles, and no new element was produced after laser melting. Biocompatibility evaluation showed that Ti alloys with and without Ta coating both promoted the proliferation of MC3T3-E1 cells, but the coated alloy showed better performance and obviously promoted the differentiation of the osteoblasts.
CONCLUSIONAlloying between Ta and Ti can be accomplished successfully by laser melting technique, and the alloy obtained has ideal surface structure and good biocompatibility.

Objective: To study the biological effects of the HPV16Z-Hsp65-E6/E7 fusion protein vaccine on the tumor associated with HPV16 infection. Methods: We tested the cellular immune responsive intensity to the vaccine by the lymphocyte proliferation and CTL response, and studied the therapeutic effect of the vaccine on mouse TC-1 cell transplanted cancer in vivo and the influence on mouse lifetime. Results: The spleen lymphocytes from the C57BL/6 mouse immunized by the Hsp65-E6/E7 vaccine could proliferate obviously in the presence of the protein and TC-1 tumor cell could be lysed specifically by immune activated lymphocytes in vitro. This animal therapeutic experiment in vivo showed that the vaccine suppressed the growth of TC-1 cell transplanted tumor remarkably. Conclusion: The recombined vaccine can induce specific cellular immune response in vitro and suppress HPV16 positive TC-1 tumor cell growth obviously in vivo.

Objective To investigate the mediating effects of self-evaluation of depressive symptoms between psychosocial function and negative automatic thinking in patients with depression in remission. Methods The Hamilton depression scale (HAMD-17),generic quality of life inventory(GQOLI),Beck depression inventory(BDI) and automatic thoughts questionnaire (ATQ) were applied to 122 subjects who were patients with depression in remission. Results (1) There was significantly negative correlation between self-evaluation of depressive symptoms and physical function and psychological function and social function(r=-0.559,r=-0.435,r=-0.388,all P<0.01),and negative correlation between negative automatic thinking and physical function, psychological function and social function(r=-0.563,r=-0.449,r=-0.468,all P<0.01).(2)The score of physical function, psychological function and social function in the group with low self-evaluation of depressive symptoms was higher than those in the group with high self-evaluation of depressive symptoms (low group:70.27±11.33,69.54±11.53,69.09±10.41;high group:53.33±9.32,57.24±13.80,57.69± 12.77),and the differences were statistically significant (t=7.40,4.82,4.48,P<0.01).(3) Negative automatic thinking had a significant negative effect on physical function (B =-0.17,P<0.01),which was affected by self-evaluation of depressive symptoms. The relationship between negative automatic thinking and psychological function was affected by self-evaluation of depressive symptoms. Conclusion Self-evaluation of depressive symptom plays a mediating role between negative automatic thinking and physical function, which also was a mediator in the relationship between negative automatic thinking and mental function.
