Objective To investigate the needs and related factors of training for parents of pre-school children with autism in Beijing. Methods From March to June, 2013, 154 parents of pre-school children with autism in Beijing were investigated with questionnaire. Re-sults The parents of pre-school children with autism needed a wide range of training, especially the professional guidance and cooperation. The degree of education of parents and the gender of children associated with the content of the training. Conclusion The parents of pre-school children with autism need a wide range of training, especially the professional guidance and cooperation.

Objective To establish a scale of vocational rehabilitation for adult with intellectual disability.MethodsDelphi method was applied to comply the scale which was divided into four dimensions including life satisfaction, life skills, social interaction ability and personality to evaluate vocational rehabilitation for adult with intellectual disability.ResultsFor the test-retest reliability, the coefficient was 0.735 for the total scale, 0.869 for life satisfaction, 0.621 for life skills, 0.611 for social skills, and 0.505 for ability to work. The coefficien of the scale (all versions) in all dimensions and total scores were between 0.635～0.938.ConclusionThe scale has good reliability and validity to evaluate the effect of vocational rehabilitation of adult with intellectual disability.

Objective To analyze the social and family factors influencing rehabilitation of mental retarded children.Methods 237 children diagnosed as mental retardation in 2004 in Beijing were researched with Self-designed Questionnaires and data were analyzed by Cross-tabs and Logistic Regression statistical method.Results The analysis showed that the degree of disabilities (P<0.001), education received (P<0.05), and the attitude from community to these children (P<0.05), were factors influencing rehabilitation of mental retarded children.Conclusion The degree of disabilities is the most important influencing factor to rehabilitation of mental retarded children; the mild or moderate mental cases can get good rehabilitation in a better community and family environment. The attitude to these children from community can make a great help to the rehabilitation.
