ObjectiveTo investigate the effects of exogenous Fusarium oxysporum and Trichoderma viride on the diversity of soil fungal community and carbon metabolic function of cultivated Panax ginseng. MethodIllumina HiSeq 2500 high-throughput sequencing combined with Biolog-ECO was used to analyze the species diversity and functional diversity of soil fungal communities in P. ginseng soil under different exogenous treatments. ResultThe results of high-throughput sequencing showed that the number and species of microorganisms in the soil were significantly changed after exogenous microorganisms were added. The soil fungi with relative abundance greater than 1% included Mortierella sp.,Fusarium sp.,Humicola sp.,and Simplicillium sp. Mortierella sp. in each treatment group significantly increased. Humicola sp. and Simplicillium sp. could be induced to increase by exogenous addition of F. oxysporum, while T. viride at a high concentration could significantly inhibit the growth of F. oxysporum. As revealed by Biolog and principal component analysis (PCA),the average well color development (AWCD) in the high-dose T. viride group (MG) was significantly higher than that in the control group (QS)and the low-dose F. oxysporum group(LD). The utilization abilities for amino acids, carboxylic acids, polymers, and amines were enhanced in the MG group, but the microbial metabolic activity was reduced in the high-dose F. oxysporum group (LG). There was no significant increase in the utilization of phenolic acids by soil microorganisms in both groups. ConclusionExogenous addition of F. oxysporum can lead to the growth and reproduction of other pathogenic fungi. Exogenous addition of T. viride can enhance the soil fungal community structure and metabolic diversity, inhibit the proliferation of F. oxysporum, and improve the soil microbial environment of cultivated P. ginseng.

Objective:To investigate the effect of Ranae Oviductus (RO) on ovarian follicular development, phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (PI3K)/protein kinase B (Akt) signaling pathway, and pregnancy function in rats, and the estrogen-like mechanism of OR. Method:Seventy female Wistar rats were randomly divided into a normal group, a progynova+ luteohormone group (1 mg·kg-1+40 mg·kg-1), a clomiphene group (10 mg·kg-1), and high-dose(400 mg·kg-1) and low-dose(200 mg·kg-1) RO groups. Rats were administered correspondingly by gavage for eight weeks. After seven weeks of intragastric administration, the estrus cycle of all rats was measured. After eight weeks of intragastric administration, four rats from each group were selected to give birth. For other rats, blood was collected on the day of estrus, and the serum levels of estradiol (E2),progesterone (P), testosterone (T), follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), and luteotropic hormone (LH) were detected. Uterus and ovaries were extracted and weighed to calculate organ index. One ovary was made into pathological sections, and the follicles at different developmental stages and corpus luteum were counted. Real-time fluorescence-based quantitative polymerase chain reaction(Real-time PCR)and Western blot were performed on the other ovary to detect mRNA and protein changes in the PI3K/Akt signaling pathway. Forty female Kunming mice were randomly divided into a normal group and RO groups (400 mg·kg-1) with 14 days, 28 days, and 56 days of intervention. Mice in the RO groups were raised with male mice in cages after intragastric administration of OR for 14, 28, and 56 days, respectively. After 18 days, the number of intrauterine fetuses on both sides and the number of stunted fetuses were counted. Result:After eight weeks of intragastric administration of OR, the rats showed decreased uterine index (

To analyze the correlation between trace element levels and carotid atherosclerosis(CAS),explore the risk factors of CAS. Methods People who underwent physical examination, and performed carotid artery ultrasonography, trace element detection and inflammatory factors detection were collected from January 2020 to February 2022 in the Physical Examination Center of the First Hospital of Jilin University. 325 cases were selected in strict accordance with the inclusion and exclusion criteria, the subjects were classified into two groups according to carotid intima-media thickness(IMT). There were 146 cases in the normal carotid artery group and 179 cases in the carotid atherosclerosis group. Chi-square test,t test and rank sum test were used to compare the differences in basic information, serum trace element levels,C-reactive protein(CRP) and blood biochemistry between the two groups;Spearman correlation analysis was used to explore the correlation between carotid IMT and trace elements,CRP and inflammatory factors;multivariate Logistic regression was used to analyze the risk factors of CAS;all tests were performed on two sides, and the difference was statistically significant at P<0.05.Results (1)The age, waist circumference, carotid IMT,systolic blood pressure, prevalence rate of diabetes, the ratio of smoking, drinking and male in the carotid atherosclerosis group were higher than those in the normal carotid artery group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). (2)There were statistical differences(P<0.05) in the contents of CRP,iron,zinc,LDL-C,FBG and UA between the normal carotid artery group and the carotid atherosclerosis group. The contents of CRP,iron,LDL-C,FBG and UA in the carotid atherosclerosis group were higher than those in the normal carotid group, and the zinc content in the carotid atherosclerosis group was lower than that in the normal carotid artery group. (3)Carotid IMT was positively correlated with age, waist circumference, systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure,iron,CRP,triglycerides,LDL-C,fasting blood glucose, uric acid, while negatively correlated with zincand ratio of zinc and copper. (4)Multivariate Logistic regression analysis of carotid atherosclerosis, the results showed that age, gender, the ratio of smoking, the ratio of drinking,CRP,zinc,LDL-C,and fasting blood glucose were risk factors for carotid atherosclerosis, and zinc was a protective factor for carotid atherosclerosis. Conclusion Trace element iron is positively correlated with carotid IMT,and the higher its level is,the higher the risk of CAS;the trace element zinc is negatively correlated with carotid IMT,and the higher its level is,the lower the risk of CAS is;zinc is a protective factor for CAS.

The Korean Journal of Pain 2021;34(3):271-287
Background:
Postoperative pain management is crucial for patients undergoing total knee arthroplasty (TKA). There have been many recent clinical trials on post-TKA peripheral nerve block; however, they have reported inconsistent findings. In this meta-analysis, we aimed to comprehensively analyze studies on post-TKA analgesia to provide evidence-based clinical suggestions.
Methods:
We performed a computer-based query of PubMed, Embase, the Cochrane Library, and the Web of Science to retrieve related articles using neurothe following search terms: nerve block, nerve blockade, chemodenervation, chemical neurolysis, peridural block, epidural anesthesia, extradural anesthesia, total knee arthroplasty, total knee replacement, partial knee replacement, and others. After quality evaluation and data extraction, we analyzed the complications, visual analogue scale (VAS) score, patient satisfaction, perioperative opioid dosage, and rehabilitation indices. Evidence was rated using the Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development, and Evaluation approach.
Results:
We included 16 randomized controlled trials involving 981 patients (511 receiving peripheral nerve block and 470 receiving epidural block) in the final analysis. Compared with an epidural block, a peripheral nerve block significantly reduced complications. There were no significant between-group differences in the postoperative VAS score, patient satisfaction, perioperative opioid dosage, and rehabilitation indices.
Conclusions
Our findings demonstrate that the peripheral nerve block is superior to the epidural block in reducing complications without compromising the analgesic effect and patient satisfaction. Therefore, a peripheral nerve block is a safe and effective postoperative analgesic method with encouraging clinical prospects.
