A predominant chrysene-degrading strain was isolated and screened from biological sludge sampled from a coking plant, which can use chrysene as sole carbon source for growth in the selective culture me-dium.The phylogenetic tree of the strain was produced on the basis of morphology observation by SEM,experimental results of physiology and biochemistry and analysis of 16S rDNA sequence. The strain was identified as Achromobacter xylosoxidans. The effect of initial concentration of chrysene solution,inoculat-ing dose and pH on degradation efficiencies was investigated. The results indicate that the degrading charac-teristics of the strain is fine. The optimal degrading conditions are:initial concentration of chrysene solution 40 mg/L,inoculating dose(V/V)10%,pH 7.0~7.5,respectively.Under the optimal conditions, the degrading efficiency can reach more than 80% after 5 days at 30?C.

Objective: To compare the efifcacy between emergent and delayed stent implantation in patients with ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) after thrombus extraction.
Methods: A total of 82 STEMI patients who received thrombus extraction and intracoronary injection of tiroifban, sodium nitroprusside, nitroglycerin via thrombus extraction catheter and with recovered TIMI 3 lfow from 2012-11 to 2014-01 were retrospectively studied. The patients were randomized into 2 groups by SAS software: Emergent group, the patients received stent implantation immediately upon diagnosis and Delayed group, the patients were treated by anti-platelet and anticoagulant medication for 10-14 days, and then received stent implantation. n=41 in each group. The primary and secondary indicators were compared between 2 groups which including ST-segment resolution (STR), the occurrence rate of no-relfow/slow-relfow, myocardial blush grade (MBG) 3, parameters of stent, ventricular remodeling condition, the incidence of major adverse cardiac events (MACE).
Results: ①Delayed group had the post PCI STR at (68.2 ± 9.2)%, TIMI 3 grade at 97.5%, MBG 3 at 69.0%and corrected TIMI frame count (CTFC) at (19.5 ± 5.2), compared with Emergent group, P<0.05. The occurrence rate of no-relfow/slow-relfow in Delayed group and Emergent group were 2.5% and 31.0%, P<0.01. ②The parameters of stents in Delayed group and Emergent group were as the number at (1.21 ± 0.32) vs. (1.76 ± 0.76), the mean length at (28.3 ± 11.7) mm vs. (33.7 ± 12.9) mm, the mean diameter at (3.17 ± 0.76) mm vs. (2.82 ± 0.87) mm, all P<0.01. Delayed group had the higher dilating pressure than that in Emergent group, (18.5 ± 6.2) atm vs (13.6 ± 7.1) atm, P<0.01, and more patients in Delayed group receive high-pressure non-compliant balloon dilation 75% vs 23.8%, P<0.01. ③With 6 months of follow-up study, there were slightly declining trend for LVEF and LVSF in both groups than that at 1 week condition, P>0.05, while LVEDV and LVEDD increased than 1 week, P<0.05, the changes were more obvious in Emergent group, P<0.05. Delayed group had less MACE occurrence, P<0.05.
Conclusion: Delayed stent implantation in STEMI patients after thrombus extraction had reduced incidence of post PCI no-relfow/slow-relfow phenomenon, improved myocardial reperfusion and less MACE occurrence.

On account of the dense cuticles of the fresh stem and the light, hard and pliable texture of the dried stem, Dendrobii Caulis is difficult to dry or pulverize. So, it is very important to the ancient doctors that Dendrobii Caulis should be properly treated and applied to keep or evoke its medicinal effects. The current textual research results about the preliminary processing, processing and usage methods of Dendrobii Caulis showed that: (1) In history the clinical use of fresh or processed Dendrobii Caulis as teas and tinctures were very common. (2) Its roots and rhizomes would be removed before using. (3) Some ancillary approaches were applied to shorten drying times, such as rinsing with boiling mulberry-ash soup, washing or soaking with liquor, mixing with rice pulp and then basking, etc. (4) According to the ancients knowledge, the sufficient pulverization, by means of slicing, rasping, hitting or pestling techniques, was necessary for Dendrobii Caulis to take its effects. (5) The heat processing methods for Dendrobii Caulis included stir-baking, stir-frying, steaming, decocting and stewing techniques, usually with liquor as an auxiliary material. Among above mentioned, steaming by pretreating with liquor was most commonly used, and this scheme was colorfully drawn in Bu Yi Lei Gong Pao Zhi Bian Lan (Ming Dynasty, 1591 CE) ; moreover, decocting in advance or long-time simmering so as to prepare paste products were recommended in the Qing Dynasty. (6) Some different processing programs involving stir-baking with grit, air-tightly baking with ondol (Kangs), fumigating with sulfur, which appeared in modern times and brought attractive outward appearance of the drug, went against ancients original intentions of ensuring drug efficacy.

Chinese Acupuncture & Moxibustion 2014;34(3):300-302
It is held by some of the researches that the "16 collaterals" is composed of the "15 collaterals" and "the major collateral of stomach". And it is included into the textbook that Xuli, the major collateral of stomach, is the pulsation point at the cardiac region. Xuli is often explained as the empty portion of the human body by many researches. Through analysis and summarization of the related theory of the major collateral of stomach, the above mentioned opinion is discussed. And the understanding on the major collateral of stomach is deepened. As a result, it is concluded that count the major collateral of stomach into the 16 collaterals together with the 15 collaterals is inadvisable. The real pulsation point at the cardiac region locates under the left breast. And the real meaning of Xuli is "extending in all directions".

Military Medical Sciences 2016;40(9):759-763,776
Objective To investigate the clinical value of axillary ultrasound (AUS)in the identification of axillary nodal metastasis (ALNM).Methods Two hundred and eighty-two consecutive patients with stage Tis-T2 breast cancer were prospectively enrolled between December 2013 and September 2015.All the patients underwent AUS performed by two specified senior ultrasound doctors.Sonographic features of their axillary lymph nodes (longitudinal and transverse diameters, cortical and hilar thickness, blood flow form)were collected. These patients were divided into metastatic, suspicious and non-metastatic groups based on the ultrasound features by ultrasound doctors. The diagnostic accuracy of AUS was compared with results of pathology.Univariate and multivariate Logistic regression analyses were used to evaluate the relationship between sonographic features and ALNM.The area under the ROC curve was used to assess the accuracy of the multivariate Logistic regression model. Results The sensitivity, specificity, positive and negative predictive value and accuracy of AUS were respectively 85.6%,87.1%,86.4%,86.3%,and 86.3% in the metastatic and non-metastatic groups. The Kappa value was 0.727(P <0.001).The ALNM burden in the non-metastatic group was significantly lower than in the metastatic group (1.2 vs 6.9,P <0.001).The false-negative results were found only in 16 cases, fourteen of whom had only 1,and two had 2 and 3 ALNM,respectively.Univariate Logistic regression analysis showed that maximum cortical thickness was the most significant predictive factor of ALNM(the area under the ROC curve was 0.872).Multivariate Logistic regression analysis suggested that cortical thickness and the ratio of hilar thickness to cortical thickness were predictive factors of ALNM(P <0.05).The area under the ROC curve of the multivariate Logistic regression model was 0.879 and its sensitivity and specificity were 77.0% and 85.1%,respectively.Conclusion AUS is a valuable tool for detecting ALNM.Patients with false-negative results of AUS have a lower axillary metastatic burden.Maximum cortical thickness is the most significant predictive factor of ALNM.AUS may be a potential alternative method for sentinel lymph node biopsy as axillary lymph node staging in early-stage breast cancer patients.

Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology 1989;0(06):-
AIM: To investigate the bio-effects of salusins on rat heart and cardiomyocytes. METHODS: The cardiac function was determined by multipurpose polygraph in isolated rat heart treated with various concentrations of salusin-? or salusin-?. [ 45Ca 2+] and [3H]-Leu incorporation were determined in cultured neonatal rat cardiomyocytes with ?-liquid scintillation counter. RESULTS: 10 -12-10 -7mol/L salusin-? and salusin-? had no effects on isolated rat cardiac function. However, salusin-? and salusin-? stimulated [ 45Ca 2+] uptake and [3H]-Leu incorporation. The [ 45Ca 2+] uptake induced by salusins were inhibited by nicardipine, and were synergistically increased by endothelin-1. The [3H]-Leu incorporation induced by salusin-? and salusin-? was inhibited by nicardipine, FK506 (a special inhibitor of carcineulin), PD 98059 (inhibitor of MAPK) and chelerthine (inhibitor of PKC). The effects of salusin-? on [ 45Ca 2+] uptake was stronger than those of salusin-?. But there were no statistical difference in [3H]-Leu incorporation between salusin-? and salusin-?. CONCLUSIONS: Salusin-? and salusin-? did not affect directly cardiac function in rat hearts. But salusins improved calcium uptake and protein synthesize in neonatal rat cardiomyocytes. Those effects of salusins were related with calcium channel, carcinuelin, MAPK and PKC signal pathways. Salusins may be the regulatory factors for myocardium growth and hypertrophy.
