Objective To evaluate the clinical features and treatment outcomes of ocular posteriorsegment syphilis.Methods The clinical data of 24 patients with active ocular syphilis wereretrospectively reviewed.The diagnosis was made first in eye clinic,and verified by treponema pallidumparticle agglutination(TPPA)and rapid plasma reagin(RPR).The patients,17 males and 7 females,aged from 30 to 63 years with an average of 47.6 years.The duration of symptoms ranged from 3 days to2 years with an average of 5.8 months(≤1 month,7 cases;1-3 month,5 cases;3-6 months,5 cases;>6 months,7 cases).There were 18 bilateral cases and 6 unilateral cases.The result of humanimmunodeficiency virus(HIV)test was negative for all cases.Twenty-three patients received systemicpenicillin therapy and 1 patient was treated with oral erythromycin due to penicillin allergy.Beforetreatment,the mean visual acuity was 0.17±0.1 9,the mean titer of RPR was 1:84.The follow-up periodwas half a year.Results The major ocular manifestations included bilateral(16 cases)or unilateral(1case)chorioretinitis,unilateral retinal vasculitis(2 cases),unilateral neuroretinitis(2 cases),andbilateral(2 cases)or unilateral(1 case)optic neuritis.The mean follow-up visual acuity was 0.60±0.29,the mean follow-up titer of RPR was 1:18.8.Some patients had got the diagnosis and prompt treatment atthe early stage of the disease and their visual acuity recoveried very well.Conclusions The majormanifestion of ocular posterior segment syphilis is chorioretinitis.It is important tO consider the possibilityof syphilis when patients have inflammation of posterior segment.Prompt serology examination andpenicillin treatment are the keys to cure ocular syphilis.

There is an evidence that mitochondrial cytochrome C has dual functions in controlling both cellular energetic metabolism and apoptosis. Once released, cytochrome C, in interaction with apoptotic protease activating factors (Apaf 1), initiates the activation of the execution caspases that lead to the subsequent apoptosis. Release of cytochrome C is the result of a perturbation of mitochondrial membrane permeability. Anti apoptotic Bcl 2 family proteins function as gatekeepers to prevent the release of cytochrome C. In addition to cytochrome C, mitochondria release other apoptogenic proteins including apoptosis inducing factor (AIF) during apoptosis. These two pathways may work together to induce complete apoptosis. After transient cerebral ischemia, the release of cytochrome C occurs from mitochondria, preceding DNA fragmentation.

Objective To describe a new method of reconstruction of anterior crucial ligament(ACL) so as to avoid additional injury of peripatellar tissue and complications caused by procuring autograft from the patellar tendon. Methods To reconstruct the injuried ACL under arthroscopy by means of identical length of allogenic achilles tendon which was stored in deep hypothermia. At the same time, injuried medial collateral ligament(MCL) was reconstructed by using the achilles tendon. Results From January 1996 to June 2000, the ACLs in 31 cases were reconstructed by allogenic achilles tendon under arthroscopy. The average period of follow up of 25 cases(26 sides) was 18.9 months(12-49 months). Among them, 4 injuried MCLs were also reconstructed, 5 torn meniscus were sutured, and 6 were resected or partially resected. According to the Lysholm score method, the average score was 53.5 preoperatively, and 84 postoperatively, the satisfactory rate was 84.6%. The objective examination showed anterior drawer test(ADT) positive in 23 preoperatively, 1 postoperatively; Lachman test was positive in 25 preoperatively, 1 postoperatively, and weak positive in 2 postoperatively. There were 2 with pain in knee joints and 3 with limitation of activity of knee joints(5?-20?)postoperatively. Conclusion Allogenic achilles tendon, a materials can be procured in advance, and the injury and complications caused by the autograft can be decreased, and MCL can be reconstructed at the same time. With this technique, the material is convenient to obtain, the operative method is simple, and there is no need for internal fixation.

Objective To investigate the relationship between IgG antibody titer in pregnant women with maternal-fetal ABO blood incompatibility and hemolytic disease of fetuses and newborns.Methods From January 31 2009 to January 31 2010,1269 singleton pregnant women who were suspected to have maternal fetal ABO blood incompatibility in Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology,Southwest Hospital,Third Military University were collected.Anti-A or anti-B IgG titers of them were detected at 28-30 gestational age,and umbilical cord blood were taken when delivery and hemolytic disease of the newborn serological test were done to diagnose hemolytic disease of the newborn (HDN).The relationship between the titers and incidence of fetal or neonatal hemolytic disease was retrospectively analyzed by Kendall tau rank correlation.Results No IgG of anti-A or anti-B in serum were found in 58.4％ (741/1269) pregnant women,while the antibody titer of 5.1％ (65/1269) pregnant women were more than or equal to 1 ∶ 128.When they were tested again at 36 gestational week,the titer of 17 cases increased twice but lower than 1 ∶ 512.No signs of intrauterine hemolysis,such as edema,ascites and pleural effusion,were found.Three hundred and eighty neonates (29.9％,380/1269) were diagnosed as HDN.Among which,12 cases (3.2％,12/380) showed mild anemia and (or) jaundice within 24 hours after delivery.There was positive correlation between incidence of neonatal hemolysis and antibody titer(Tb=-0.293,P＜0.01).The incidence of HDN increased from 85.4％ (35/41) in women with antibody titer of 1 ∶ 128 to 5/5 inwomen with antibody titer at 1 ∶ 512 (x2=108.906,P＜0.01).Among 380 HDN neonates,322 cases were transferred to neonatal intensive care unit for phototherapy based comprehensive therapy,and two underwent exchange transfusion.All patients were cured.Conclusions The intrauterine hemolysis incidence of patients with suspected maternal-fetal ABO blood incompatibility is very low,and no special care is required during pregnancy.Anti-A or anti-B tests during pregnancy is helpful in early diagnosis and management of HDN.

Objective　To investigate the effect of breast milk and some other kinds of infant foods on the adhesion of EPEC to Hela cells and intestinal mucosa so as to understand the possible protective mechanism of breast-feeding in the intestine of infants. Methods　The adhesion of EPEC to Hela cells and intestinal mucosa were examined by cell culture, bacterial adherence test, light and electron microscopy in the mediums that contain breast milk, cow's milk and formula milk or contain ecal filtrate of the infants fed by breast milk and formula milk respectively. Results　Adhesive index for EPEC to Hela cells was significantly lower in the medium containing breast milk than in control and so did in the fecal medium containing breast fed infants than artificial feeding infants. Conclusion　Breast milk may inhibit the adhesion of EPEC to infant intestine.

Besides, we combined the characteristics with the current national development strategy "The Belt and Road Initiative" , "cultural soft power" and the Yunnan’s development strategy "big health industry" and "healthy life destination" . This paper discussed the current situation and development prospect of the international development of TCM in Yunnan and the results helped to provide suggestion for the internationalision of TCM in Yunnan.

Objective To investigate the effects of ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA), dexamethasone (DEX), and S adenomethionine (SAMe) on the pregnant rats with intrahepatic cholestasis induced by ethinylestradiol (EE). Methods A total of 50 15 day pregnant Wistar rats were randomly divided into five groups: control group, EE group, UDCA group, DEX group, and SAMe group. In EE group, rats were subcutaneously injected with EE (2.5 mg?kg -1 ?d -1 ) for 5 d. In the control group, rats received subcutaneous injection of appropriate volume of propylene glycol (PG) for 5 d. In UDCA, SAMe, and DEX groups, rats were administered with the same dose of EE plus UDCA (100 mg?kg -1 ?d -1 ), SAMe (100 mg?kg -1 ?d -1 ), and DEX (1 mg?kg -1 ?d -1 ) for 5 d, respectively. The serum levels of aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alkaline phosphatases (ALP), glycocholic acid (GC), and total bilirubin were measured after cesarean. Morphologic changes of the liver of pregnant rats and the growth and development of the fetal rats were observed. Objective: To determin the content of 6,7 Dehydroroyleanone in Salvia deserta Schang. Methods: The content of 6.7 Delydroroyleanone were identified with TLC by UV.Results: The content was 0.37% and RSD was 2.6%. The average recovery was 98.3%.Conclusion: The method is simple and accurate.
