Objetcive To analyze the contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS)features in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (CCRCC) of different size and to discuss the diagnostic value of CEUS in CCRCCs. Methods The contrast-enhanced and conventional US features of 80 CCRCCs confirmed pathologically were retrospectively analyzed. Samples were divided into three groups by diameters: small CCRCCs (≤30 mm), medium CCRCCs(＞30 mm) and large CCRCCs(＞50 mm). The tumoral vascularity, lesion homogeneity and presence of an anechoic rim were observed on conventional US. The enhancement of echogenicity, homogeneity and pseudocapsule were evaluated on CEUS. Results Among the 80 renal masses, 32 were small CCRCCs, 28 were medium CCRCCs while the large CCRCCs were 20. On conventional US, 18.8%(6/32) of small CCRCCs, 71.4%(20/28) of medium CCRCCs and 95%(19/20) of large CCRCCs demonstrated as heterogeneous and the differences were highly statistically significant, whereas there were no differences in the tumoral vascularity and the presence of pseudocapsule sign among the three groups. On CEUS, 28.1%(9/32) of small CCRCCs, 85.7%(24/28) of medium CCRCCs and 100%(20/20) of large CCRCCs showed a homogeneous enhancement. The incidence of pseudocapsule sign in medium tumors was higher than small and large groups(71.4%,50% and 25%,respectively). There were statistically significant differences among the three groups in the enhanced homogeneity and the presence of pseudocapsule sign. However, all the three groups revealed mainly isoechoic and hyperechoic and there were no differences among them. Compared with conventional US, CEUS depicted significantly the increased tumoral vascularity (51.3% vs. 87.5%) and pseudocapsule sign(22.5% vs. 51.3%). Eight lesions demonstrated heterogeneous contrast enhancement on CEUS while homogeneous on conventional US, but there were no differences in lesion homogeneity between conventional US and CEUS findings. Conclusions Different sizes of CCRCC showed distinct CEUS features in the enhanced homogeneity and the presence of pseudocapsule sign. CEUS is more effective on improving the sonographic characteristics of tumoral visualization and may provide important information of US findings for the diagnosis of renal cell carcinoma.

Objective　To investigate the effect of breast milk and some other kinds of infant foods on the adhesion of EPEC to Hela cells and intestinal mucosa so as to understand the possible protective mechanism of breast-feeding in the intestine of infants. Methods　The adhesion of EPEC to Hela cells and intestinal mucosa were examined by cell culture, bacterial adherence test, light and electron microscopy in the mediums that contain breast milk, cow's milk and formula milk or contain ecal filtrate of the infants fed by breast milk and formula milk respectively. Results　Adhesive index for EPEC to Hela cells was significantly lower in the medium containing breast milk than in control and so did in the fecal medium containing breast fed infants than artificial feeding infants. Conclusion　Breast milk may inhibit the adhesion of EPEC to infant intestine.

Objective To explore the significance of the changes of vaginal lactobacilli in normal pregnant women and those with bacterial vaginosis(BV). Methods A total of 309 pregnant women, including 50 pregnant women with bacterial vaginosis, were randomly selected. Lactobacilli isolated from the vaginas of pregnant women were identified by biochemical methods. The distribution of lactobacilli in the vaginas of pregnant women was observed. The ability to produce H 2O 2 and decrease the culture environment PH among four common lactobacilli in the vaginas of pregnant women was also compared. Results The detectable rate of lactobacilli in vaginas of the normal pregnant women was obviously higher than that of women with bacterial vaginosis. The predominant lactobacilli colonizing in the vaginas of the normal pregnant women were L. crispatus and L. acidophilus , most of which could produce H 2O 2. The frequency of H 2O 2 positive isolation in the vaginas of pregnant women was significantly higher than that of BV. Conclusion The study indicates that H 2O 2 positive lactobacilli plays an important role in the protection against vaginal infections in pregnant women.

Methods Okadaic acid(OA)was injected into the CA1 region of the rat hippocampus and the rats were gavaged with ginkgolides. The optimum conditions of producing 1.3-PD were: initial pH 7.0, temperature 30℃, culture time 48 h, inoculum size 9% . Under the optimum conditions: the 1.3-PD productivity reached up to 23.68 g/L?d; the 1,3-PD yield of E. aero-N-56 up to 47.36 g/L in 30 L fermentor.

Objective:To observe and analyze the clinical features and prognosis of proliferative diabetic retinopathy (PDR) with chronic myeloid leukemia.Methods:A retrospective case series study. From May 2011 to December 2020, 5 patients (10 eyes) were included in this study in Eye-ENT Hospital of Fudan University. Basic information about the patient's age, gender, diabetes history and CML history were collected. The endocrine and hematological indexes of all patients were evaluated. All the patients were undertaken visual acuity, intraocular pressure, slit lamp and fundus examination and other examinations to observe the eye conditions. Ophthalmic treatments included panretinal laser photocoagulation, intravitreal injection of anti-vascular endothelial growth factor, vitrectomy. During the follow up period from 5 months to 6 years, prognosis was observed at each office visit. During the follow up period, patients' vision, intraocular pressure, anterior segment and retinal status were observed.Results:There were 4 males and a female in 5 patients. The ages were from 27 to 49 years, with the mean age of 39 years. All patients were bilateral. All patients suffered type 2 diabetes for 3 months to 13 years. Four of them were diagnosed as chronic myeloid leukemia before visiting to ophthalmologists, while the other visited to ophthalmology first due to poor vision. The initial visual acuity ranged from light perception to 0.4 and 6 eyes were less than 0.1. In addition to the typical manifestations of diabetic retinopathy, such as venous tortuous dilation, exudation, microaneurysm and neovascularization, patients also presented with Roth spot as leukemic fundus manifestations. All eyes developed to PDR stage. Abnormal thickening of the neovascular membranes may occur in the lower part of the retina, with secondary traction retinal detachment. All the eyes were treated with pan retinal photocoagulation and 9 eyes underwent pars plana vitrectomy. After treatment, retina of 8 eyes kept flat. The best corrected visual acuity ranged from no light perception to 1.0, and only 4 eyes reached more than 0.2. Unfortunately, one eye lost vision because of secondary neovascular glaucoma.Conclusions:PDR patients with CMLof fundus not only have venous tortuous dilation, exudation, microaneurysm and neovascularization, also present with Roth spot as leukemic fundus manifestations. Diabetic retinopathy combined with CML could progress rapidly, and its aggravating complications such as hyperplastic membrane, vitreous hemorrhage and traction retinal detachment may result in poor visual prognosis. Early screening and treatment can help improve the prognosis of patients.

Objective To investigate the differentiatial diagnostic value of 99Tcm-methoxyisobutylisonitrile ( MIBI ) SPECT combined with localizable CT in the evaluation of oxygen intervention for suspicious lung lesions,and to establish a cost-effective imaging modality in the detection of malignant lung lesions.Methods From September 2008 to March 2009,47 consecutive patients with suspicious malignant lung lesions underwent 99Tcm-MIBI SPECT/CT prospectively. Patients with suspicious pneumonia were treated with antibiotics for about 4 d before imaging. All patients were cannulized with a nostril tube for oxygen inhalation before 99Tc-MIBI injection. SPECT combined with localizable CT of the chest was performed at 10 min and 2 h after 99Tcm-MIBI injection. The uptake ratios of lesion to contralateral normal lung parenchyma(early uptake ratio:EUR and delayed uptake ratio:DUR) were compared using independent-samples ttest. In addition,the diagnostic efficiency of uptake ratios of lung lesions was analyzed with receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve. Results Forty-seven patients ( primary lung cancers:32,metastatic tumors of the lung:4,benign lung diseases:11 ) had 51 lung lesions,including 39 malignant and 12 benign lung lesions. The sensitivity,specificity,accuracy,positive predictive value (PPV),and negative predictive value (NPV) were 94.9% (37/39),83.3% ( 10/12),92.2% (47/51),94.9% (37/39) and 83.3% ( 10/12),respectively. The EUR of malignant lesions was 2.95 ± 1.16,whereas of benign lesions was 1.43 ±0.33. The DUR of the malignant lesions was 3.19 ± 1.74,whereas of benign lesions was 1.60 ±0.32. Both EUR and DUR were significantly different between malignant and benign lung lesions,respectively (t= -4.44,-3.12,respectively,both P＜0.01). The ROC curve showed that EUR value ≥1.625 provided the sensitivity of 97.4% (38/39) and specificity of 83.3% (10/12); DUR value ≥ 1.75provided the sensitivity of 94.9% (37/39) and specificity of 83.3% (10/12). Conclusion 99Tcm-MIBI SPECT combined with localizable CT imaging in oxygen intervention has a potential value in differentiating malignant from benign lung lesions.

Objective To compare the heart function and observe the clinical prognosis of dilated cardiomyopathy(DCM) in children treated with combination of prednisone and azathioprine and high dose intravenous immunoglobulin(IVIG).Methods From Jan.1998 to May 2004,20 children who met the diagnostic criteria of DCM were divided into 2 therapeutic groups(groupⅠ,groupⅡ) according to the time of hospitalization.On the basis of traditional congestive heart failure(CHF) therapy,the children in groupⅠwere treated with immunosuppressive therapy(prednisone plus azathioprine) and the children in groupⅡ were treated with high dose IVIG.The course of treatment was 6 months for all children.Heart functions in all children were evaluated and echocardiographic parameters including left auricular diameter(LA),left ventricular end diastolic diameter(LV),left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF) and cardiac index(CI) were measured before and after therapy,respectively.All children were followed up for 1 year to observe survival rate(%).The findings were analyzed by t test and ?~2 test.Results The percentage of heart function increased from Ⅲ-Ⅳ toⅠ-Ⅱin groupⅠ,which was lower than that in groupⅡ(P
