Objective:To investigate the expression of serum galectin-3 (Gal-3), cystatin-C (Cys-C) and endothelin-1 (ET-1) in elderly patients with hypertension and analyze their correlation with left ventricular hypertrophy(LVH).Methods:A total of over 65 years old 110 patients with essential hypertension in Tieling Central Hospital from July 2018 to May 2019 were selected as hypertension group, according to the LVH, patients with essential hypertension were divided into (non LVH group, 66 patients) and LVH group (44 patients). At the same time, a total of 110 healthy people in the same period were selected as control group. The expressions of serum Gal-3, Cys-C and ET-1 in each group were compared, and the correlation between left ventricular mass index (LVMI) and Gal-3, Cys-C in patients with essential hypertension were analyzed.Results:The levels of Gal-3, Cys-C and ET-3 in the hypertension group were higher than those in the control group: (132.28 ± 38.18) μg/L vs. (110.60 ± 17.51) μg/L, (1.19 ± 0.12) mg/L vs. (0.81 ± 0.06) mg/L, (21.28 ± 0.72) ng/L vs. (16.50 ± 0.68) ng/L, and the differences were statistically significant ( P<0.05). The levels of Gal-3, Cys-C and ET-1 in the LVH group were significantly higher than those in the non LVH group: (159.75 ± 36.37) μg/L vs. (113.96 ± 26.79) μg/L, (1.24 ±) mg/L vs.(1.16 ± 0.08) mg/L, (21.84 ± 0.71) ng/L vs.(20.90 ± 0.41) ng/L, and the differences were statistically significant ( P<0.05). Pearson correlation analysis showed that LVMI was positively correlated with Gal-3( r=0.650, P<0.01), Cys-C( r=0.659, P<0.01) and ET-1( r=0.858, P<0.01). The receiver operating characteristic(ROC) curve showed that the area under the curve (AUC) of Gal-3 in diagnosing hypertensive LVH was 0.821, 95% CI 0.743-0.899, the cutoff value was 148.55 μg/L, and the sensitivity and specificity were 59.10% and 89.40%. The AUC of Cys-C in diagnosing hypertensive LVH was 0.672, 95% CI 0.558-0.786, the cutoff value was 1.320 mg/L, and the sensitivity and specificity were 43.20% and 98.50%. The AUC of ET-1 in diagnosing hypertensive LVH was 0.876, 95% CI 0.811-0.941, the cutoff value was 22.275 ng/L, and the sensitivity and specificity were 65.90% and 95.50%. The AUC of combined detection was 0.948, 95% CI 0.855-0.976, and the sensitivity and specificity were 84.10%, 98.50%. Conclusions:The serum levels of Gal-3, Cys-C and ET-1 in elderly patients with hypertension are significantly increased, and there are a good correlation between them and LVH, and combined detection can be used as a sensitive index for the diagnosis of hypertensive LVH.

AIM: To establish the quality control standard for Chuanbaizhiyang Lotion(Radix Sophorae Flavescentis, Cacumen Tamaricis, Fructus Cuidii, etc.). METHODS: Radix Sophorae Flavesentis, Fructus Cnidii, Folium Artemisiae Argyi were identified by TLC. The content of osthole was determined by HPLC. RESULTS: The TLC sports developed was fairly clear. The HPLC showed good repeatability. The average recovery of osthole was 96.72% with RSD of 1.04%. CONCLUSION: The method is simple, accurate and can effectively control the quality of Chuanbaizhiyang Lotion.

An unusual case of primary cutaneous anaplastic large cell lymphoma induced by influenza vaccination is reported.A 79-year-old man developed an erythematous nodule at the injection site on the upper left arm 2 months after vaccination against influenza A virus,which gradually grew and ulcerated.Pathological examination of the lesion revealed epidermal infiltrate of lymphocytes and numerous clumps of densely distributed lymphocytes with lightly stained cytoplasm,nuclear atypia and karyokinesis.Immunohistochemistry showed that the tumor cells stained positive for CD3 (90％),CD5 (90％),LCA (90％),CD30 (90％),CD10 (a few),Ki-67 (80％),but negative for CD20,CD56,cytokeratin 1-3,epithelial membrane antigen,synaptophysin,and anaplastic lymphoma kinase.The patient was diagnosed with primary cutaneous anaplastic large cell lymphoma at the injection site following vaccination against influenza A virus.

Objective To observe the clinical features and treatment outcomes of presumed tubercular retinal vasculitis.Methods This is a retrospective non-comparative interventional clinical research.A total of nine patients (11 eyes) with major presentation of retinal vasculitis were included in this study.Patients first consulted the eye clinic and were diagnosed presumed tubercular retinal vasculitis.The patients,seven males and two females,aged from 19 to 66 years,with an average of 43.89 years.The time interval from symptoms to diagnosis ranged from two weeks to six months with an average of 76.27 days.Visual acuity,slit lamp ophthalmoscopy,fundus fluorescein angiography (FFA),optical coherence tomography (OCT),hematological and tuberculosis related investigations were examined and analyzed.All patients had standard anti-tuberculosis treatment.Treatment outcomes were followed for six to 37 months with an average of 14.11 months.Results Baseline visual acuity ranged from hand movement to 0.8 with an average of 0.28.Among 11 eyes,six presented mild to moderate vitritis,five presented as retinal vein occlusion with no obvious vitirits.Fundus examination showed six cases with retinal hemorrhage,four cases with macular edema,two with macular epiretinal membrane,and two with vitreous hemorrhage.FFA revealed 11 cases with leakage of vessels,11 with nonperfusion area,four with macular edema,three with retinal neovascularization,and two with choroidal lesions.OCT of nine eyes suggested six eyes with retinal edema,three with macular edema,three with macular epiretinal membrane.TST of seven patients were all strong positive.T-SPOT.TB of four patients were all positive.Three of eight patients who had chest X-ray or chest CT were suggested tuberculosis infection.Four to six weeks after the start of anti-tuberculosis treatment,vitritis,exudates,retinal and macular edema subsided.During follow up,inflammation was stable with no recurrence observed.The visual acuity of last follow-up ranged from 0.15 to 0.8 with an average of 0.51.Conclusions The main presentations of presumed tubercular retinal vasculitis are vitritis,retinal vein occlusion,and retinal hemorrhage.Standard anti-tuberculosis treatment can improve inflammation and retinal hemorrhage.

Lung cancer is characterized by high malignancy and the majority of patients are diagnosed at the advanced or late stage.Chemoradiotherapy has insufficient effect on this malignant tumor.At present the immune therapy has become a new choice for lung cancer treatment.Ipilimumab,antibody to programmed death-1 ,immune cells,cytokines,melanoma-associated antigen A3 vaccine,liposomal BLP25,belagen-pumatucel-L and polypeptide vaccine have been proved effective for lung cancer through various clinical trials. Futhermore,most of them have been moved forward to phase Ⅲ clinical trials in order to get more strong evidence to support the immunotherapy incorporated into the multidisciplinary treatment of lung cancer.

Diet therapy is considered as the basic treatment of chronic kidney disease (CKD),and its primary goals are improving metabolic disorder,relieving symptoms and prevent complications,hence to retard renal function lost of CKD patients.However,there have been controversies about the results of clinical studies on nutritional treatment for CKD.This article reviews the effectiveness,safety and compliance of low-protein diet (LPD) for CKD patients,and related clinical management strategies.The article also recommends the feasible diet scheme to provide a reference of clinical LPD therapy for patients with CKD.

AIM:To investigate the effects of cancerous inhibitor of protein phosphatase 2A (CIP2A) over-ex-pression on the proliferation and apoptosis of gastric epithelial cells .METHODS:The mRNA expression of CIP2A and cy-clin D1 in the tissues of normal gastric mucosa and gastric polyps was detected by RT -qPCR.The GES-1 cells were divided into control group, Ad-emp group and Ad-CIP2A group.The cell proliferation ability was detected by MTT assay and BrdU assay , and the cell apoptosis was analyzed by flow cytometry .The expression of apoptosis-related molecules was determined by Western blot and RT-qPCR.The levels of inflammatory cytokines were measured by ELISA after GES-1 cells were infec-ted with Ad-emp and Ad-CIP2A.Furthermore, the protein levels of p-Rb, E2F1 and cyclin D1 in the GES-1 cells was de-termined by Western blot after transfected with E2F1 siRNA.RESULTS:The expression of CIP2A and cyclin D1 in ade-nomatous gastric polyps tissues was significantly higher than that in normal gastric mucosa tissues , and no significant change of that between hyperplastic gastric polyps tissues and normal gastric mucosa was observed .After transfected with CIP2A, the proliferation ability of GES-1 cells was increased , the cell apoptosis was inhibited , the concentrations of IL-1βand IL-10 was up-regulated and the protein levels of p-Rb, E2F1 and cyclin D1 were increased, while the protein levels of p-Rb, E2F1 and cyclin D1 were significantly decreased after transfected with E2F1 siRNA.CONCLUSION: CIP2A promotes the proliferation and inhibits the apoptosis of GES-1 cells by activating Rb/E2F1.

To attain the systematic goals of the health cause, WHO designed a complete assessment system for measuring the performance of health organizations and conducted an assessment and ranking of various countries using the system. The paper gives a brief account of the report and discusses the enlightenment we can gain from it.

Objective To create a stable,reliable and cheap rat model of intra-abdominal hypertension(IAH)by simulating the development of secondary IAH after overdose resuscitation for severe hemorrhagic shock.Methods Sixteen adult male SD rats were randomly divided into sham group and portal vein stenosis group,with eight rats in each group.Portal vein stenosis group had transabdominal separation of portal vein with constant stenosis,while sham group underwent simple laparotomy and dissection of portal vein.Abdominal binding and hemorrhagic shock by drawing blood through the femoral artery cannulation with mean arterial pressure(MAP)of 40 mm Hg(1 mm Hg=0.133 kPa)for two hours were performed in two groups.Then,reinfusion of all autologous blood and continuous infusion of sodium lactate Ringer's solution were performed to induce IAH.Results In the portal vein stenosis group,IAH models were successfully built in all the rats except that one rat died after ligation of portal vein.The success rate of modeling was 87.5％,with total time of(4.68±0.53)hours and total solution infusion of(597.33±75.03)ml/kg.No successful modeling was obtained in the sham group.Conclusion High success rate and good reproducibility of IAH models can be achieved by fluid resuscitation after constant portal vein stenosis,abdominal binding and hemorrhagic shock with mean MAP of 40 mm Hg for two hours.
