Objective To explore the content and gene expression of endothelial nitric-oxide synthase (eNOS) in heart of hyperlipidemia apoE-/- mice. Methods apoE-/- mice were fed with high fat diet as high-fat diet group (n= 7) and normal fat diet as control group (n = 6) for 12 weeks. Serum lipid profiles including total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL) were detected, eNOS mRNA expression in heart were determined by Real-Time RT-PCR, as well as protein expression by immunohistochemistry. Results Levels of serum TC, TG and LDL clearly increased in high fat diet group, while HDL decreased (P< 0. 01). mRNA and protein expression of eNOS in heart reduced in high fat diet group(P<0.01). Conclusions High fat diet may lead to hyperlipidemia in apoE-/- mice, which may down-regulate eNOS expression and decrease eNOS content in heart.

Objective To observe the changes of nitric oxide(NO), nitric oxide synthase(NOS),and endothelin(ET) contents in plasma after acute cerebral infarction(ACI), And to evaluate the therapeutic effect of nimodipine on their changes.Methods 110 cases with ACI were randomly divided into Nimodipine therapeutic group(Nimodipine is used with general therapy,Nimodipine group) and general therapeutic group(general group). NO, NOS and ET contents in plasma at different time after ACI were observed, while control group was set up.Results ET content in plasma after ACI increased significantly until recovery. NO and NOS contents in plasma rise at the beginning, then they declined. ET contents had significant difference between Nimodipine group and general group( P 0.05).Conclusion NO, NOS and ET interfered with the complex process of pathologic after acute cerebral infarction. Nimodipine had therapeutic action on ACI partly depended on affecting content of ET in plasma.

Objective To analyze the reasons of the occlusal disorder after mistaken concrescence of maxillofacial fracture, to observe the effect of the physiotherapy for the masticatory movement and the masticatory efficiency after occlusal reconstruction with fixed prosthesis. Methods The reasons of occlusal disorder of 45 patients were analyzed by reviewing the case history and clinical examination. Ultrasound diathermy and laser irradiation were used to help improve masticatory movement. The fixed prosthesis was used to reconstruct the occlusal relationship. Masticatory efficiency was measured with the method of sift out before treatment, one month and one year after treatment. Results The main reason of occlusal disorder was the delay of treatment because of the other treatment of body after trauma. The physiotherapy was effective in improving the masticatory movement. Objective:To observe the effect of soluble CD14 (sCD14) on the inducing activity of lipopolysaccharide(LPS) on human gingival fibroblasts(HGFs). Methods:In vitro cultured HGFs were stimulated by FITC labeled LPS at the concentration of 0 (control), 100 ng/ml, 100 ng/ml LPS+100 ?g/ml sCD14 and 100 ng/ml LPS+100 ?g/ml ENP respectively for 24 h. The binding activity of LPS to HGFs was measured in the level of mean fluorescence intensity of FITC-LPS.TNF-? and IL-6 in the culture supernatant were measured by ELISA. With the further expansion of the connotations of the quality of medical services and the establishment of the bio psycho social medical model, it has become necessary to redefine quality evaluation of medical services. The authors give their interpretation of the quality of medical services and its evaluation from several perspectives, discuss the goals of quality evaluation of medical services, and expound in a rational manner the entire process and content of quality evaluation. On the basis of this, they make a comment on previous quality evaluation units and methods and put forward the tentative idea of conducting overall quality evaluation of whole process medical services.

Nine patients with tinnitus were treated with tinnitus retraining therapy( TRT) between August and November, 1997. The components of TRT included(1)correct counselling, (2)use of appropriate hearing aid, (3)mask with a low level sound, (4)use of relaxation technique. 7 cases demonstrated encouraging results of treatment. This provides a new method for treatment of tinnitus.

OBJECTIVE:To study the adsorbability of plastic transfusion bottle and infusion set to diazepam. METHODS:With the reference of plastic-bottled 5% glucose injection,HPLC was used to determine the changes of mass concentration of diazepam adding into plastic-bottled 5% glucose injection at different time;disposable plastic infusion set was connected to simulate intrave-nous infusion and determine the changes of mass concentration of diazepam in the liquid effluent at different time. RESULTS:The mass concentration of diazepam in glass infusion bottles group was higher than in plastic transfusion bottles group. The adsorbabili-ties of solutions showed the strongest at the time of 15-20 min. The mass concentration of the effluent liquid from the glass bottle group was about 80% of the original concentration and plastic bottle group was about 67%. As the time went on,the adsorbability was gradually saturated at 60 min and the concentration rose again;the mass concentration of the effluent liquid from the glass bot-tle group returned to 95%of the original concentration at 80 min and the plastic bottle group was about 75%of the original concen-tration. CONCLUSIONS:Both plastic infusion bottle and infusion set have strong adsorbability to diazepam. It is suggested that the dosage of diazepam should be increased by 25% to 33% while plastic-bottled 5% glucose injection is used as solvent for intrave-nous drip.
