AIM: To assess the therapeutic effects of Wenxin Pellet for congestive heart failure(CHF) patients suffered with ventricular premature beat(VPBs). METHODS: Sixty four CHF patients complicated with VPB were randomly allocated into two groups: the treatment group(n=32) was treated with Wenxin Pellet and routine treatment,and control group(n=32) with routine treatment.After 12-week treatment,the walking distance within 6 minutes and ultrasonic cardiogram were observed,and the onset times of VPB were monitored by 24-hour dynamic electrocardiogram. Objective To explore the clinical value of real-time contrast-enhanced ultrasonography and ultrasonography in the diagnosis and staging of cervical cancer.Methods 80 cervical cancer patients were selected as the research subjects,they were randomly divided into two groups.40 patients in the observation group received real time contrast-enhanced ultrasound,40 cases of the control group received conventional ultrasonography.The detection rate,diagnosis of cervical cancer,cervical cancer tissue and normal tissue parameters were compared between the two groups.Results 35 patients were detected in the observation group,the detection rate was 87.5%,23 patients were detected in the control group,the detection rate was 57.5%,the detection rate of the observation group was significantly higher than the control group (x2=9.028,P=0.002).In the observation group,7 patients in stage Ⅰ(17.5%),1 case in the control group (2.5%),there was significant difference between the two groups (x2=5.000,P=0.025),the differences in phase Ⅱ,Ⅲ and Ⅳ were not statistically significant(P>0.05).In observation group,the peak intensity of cervical cancer was (65.43±10.55)%,and the peak time was (22.09±2.82)min,the peak intensity of normal tissue was (58.21±14.12)%,peak time was (28.27±3.01)min,the peak intensity of cervical cancer was higher than normal tissue,the peak time was shorter than normal tissues,the differences were statistically significant(t=2.590,9.476,all P<0.05).The differences of the area under the curve and the average transit time between normal tissue and cervical cancer tissue were not statistically significant(P>0.05).Conclusion Compared with conventional ultrasonography,the contrast-enhanced ultrasonography can clearly show the range of tumor,quantitative analysis of time intensity curve parameters,can better reflect the characteristics of cervical cancer lesions,can improve the diagnostic rate and clear clinical stage.

Objective To explore the effect of health education on improving awareness of preven-tion of upper respiratory tract infection of parents of leukemia children. Methods 25 parents were ran-domly chosen, and comprehensive health education interventions were provided, including lectures, advisory guidance and brochures. The awareness of prevention of upper respiratory tract infection of parents was e-valuated before and after health education,and the results underwent χ<'2> test. Results After health educa-tion, the awareness of prevention of upper respiratory tract infection of parents significantly improved com-pared with that before. Conclusions Health education can improve awareness of prevention of upper res-piratory tract infection of parents and decrease the incidence of upper respiratory tract infections.

Objective To investigate the CT diagnostic value of small bowel wall thickness and density in differentiating simple small bowel obstruction (SI) from strangulative small bowel obstruction (ST).Methods Fifty-three cases with thickened small bowel wall (thickness ＞ 3 mm) confirmed on CT scan were reviewed,including 27 cases of SI and 26 cases of ST,in conjunction with their proven intraoperational,pathological and clinical findings.Of the 53 cases,35 cases also underwent postcontrast CT scan.CT manifestations of relationships between thickened small bowel wall and its density were classified as normal,higher or lower density in tunica mucosa of small bowel wall,higher or lower density in full thickness of small bowel wall for exploring the differential diagnostic features between SI and ST on CT scan.Chi-square or Fisher exact test were used to test the proportion difference of CT scan between SI and ST.Results In cases with normal density in tunica mucosa (NDTM) on precontrast CT,there were 21 cases of SI and 6 cases of ST(x2 =15.859,P ＜0.01).However,in cases with NDTM on postcontrast CT,there were 13 cases of SI and 5 cases of ST,and there was no significant difference (x2 =1.377,P ＞ 0.05).Thus,NDTM showed no convincing value in differentiating SI from ST.In cases with lower density in tunica mucosa (LDTM) on precontrast CT,there were 4 cases of SI and 5 cases of ST (P ＞ 0.05).In cases with LDTM on postcontrast CT,there were 4 cases of SI and 4 cases of ST (P ＞ 0.05).Thus,LDTM also showed no value in differentiating SI from ST.The lower density in full thickness of small bowel wall (LDFTS) was revealed in 0 of SI and 10 cases of ST on precontrast CT (P ＜ 0.01),and 0 of SI and 5 cases of ST on postcontrast CT (P ＜ 0.01),indicating that LDFTS showed significant value in differentiating SI from ST.Conclusion Combining the small bowel wall thickness and density,CT manifestations of early bowel wall pathological changes in small bowel obstruction can be acquired,adding some value in the differential diagnosis between SI and ST.

1.CONCLUS-ION:The use of hypoglycemics in Guangzhou is basically in line with the rational level,except for few cases in improper use of combination therapies.

Objective:Scope review of exercise-related research in patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), while pointing out the limitations of existing research, and providing references for future studies in this area.Methods:We searched PubMed, EMBASE, Web of science, Cochrane databases, China Biology Medicine, Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wan Fang Data, and Chinese Science Journal Database for studies related to exercise intervention in patients with IBD from January 1974 to July 2020. We extracted data from the included studies. Then we summarized and presented the results.Results:16 articles were finally included, of which 14 were randomized controlled trials and 2 were quasi-experimental studies. Results show that exercise methods can be divided into four categories: aerobic exercise, resistance exercise, flexibility exercise and mixed exercise. The intensity of exercise was mostly low to moderate. The frequency of exercise was mostly 3 times/week, lasting for 30-60 minutes per session. The results showed that exercise had positive effects on physical fitness, bone density, anxiety and depression, quality of life among patients with IBD. However, the effect of exercise on disease activity are diverse.Conclusion:exercise is beneficial to the mental and physical health among this group, but the existing studies have small sample sizes, short exercise intervention period, neglect of individualization in exercise prescription design, low exercise compliance, non-uniformity of exercise effect evaluation indicators.

BACKGROUND: The blood levels of specific markers of platelet activation, such as platelet granule membrane protein (GMP-140) and tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α) are very low in healthy individuals, while the plasma levels of them in patients with cerebral infarction increase. Is the protection of brain hydrolysate injection correlated with the phenomenon?OBJECTIVE: In this study, the plasma levels of GMP-140 and TNF-α in patients with acute stroke were measured, the brain protection of brain protein hydrolysate injection on patients with ischemic stroke were investigated, and were compared with the therapeutic effect of compound danshen injection.DESIGN: It was designed for case study.SETTING: This study was conducted at the Medical Department of the General Hospital of Pingdingshan Coal Co. Ltd and the Neurology Department of the Second Hospital Affiliated to Zhengzhou University.PARTICIPANTS: From January 2001 to October 2003, 144 inpatients with hypertension and acute stroke in the Medicine Department of the General Hospital of Pingdingshan Coal Co. Ltd were selected and divided into 2 groups, as experiment group containing 72 cases, 47 males and 25females, with an age from 42 to 90 and in average of (69±11) years old and control group containing 72 cases, 49 males and 23 females, with an age from 37 to 85 and in average of (68±10) years old.METHODS: All the patients in these two groups underwent oxygen inhalation therapy, antihypeetensive therapy, dehydration therapy and anticoagulation therapy. Patients in control group were coadministered 500 mL compound salvia miltiorrhiza injection QD once a day, with a 14-day course of therapy. Patients in experiment group were treated with 500 mL compound salvia miltiorrhiza injection QD and 20 mL protein hydrolysate European stroke scale (ESS), from 0 (worst possible health status) to 100(best possible health status), were used to evaluate the recovery status of (from 24 hours to 72 hours) and 3 weeks post-treatment, 5 mL blood samples were obtained from antecubital veins, then plasma levels of GMP-140and TNF-α were quantified using an RIA (radioimmunoassay) and the changes in neural function before and after brain protein hydrolysate injection were evaluated.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Before treatment and at 3 weeks postwere quantified using an RIA.RESULTS: All the 144 patients entered the statistical analysis procedure.ESS were significantly higher than the pre-treatment scores [Experiment groups: 79.95±18.64 and 59.65±19.87; Control group: (74.66±15.88) and (61.25±18.68), (t=2.678-4.351, P ＜ 0.01). The post-treatment scores of ESS in experiment group were higher than those in control group (t=2.016-2.158,groups, the post-treatment outcomes were significantly lower than the pre-treatment outcomes [Experiment group: (22.12±9.52) μg/L and (50.41±22.35) μg/L, (1.05±0.24) μg/L and (1.62±0.50) μg/L; Control group: (26.66±8.22) μg/L and (48.63±21.54) μg/L, (1.35±0.44) μg/L and (1.66±0.48) μg/L; (t=2.678-4.351, P ＜ 0.001)]. And the post-treatment levels of the two markers were lower in experiment group than those in control group (t=2.016-2.158, P ＜ 0.05).CONCLUSION: Brain protein hydrolysate injection can significantly decrease the plasma levels of GMP-140 and TNF-α in patients with acute stroke, and it is capable of increasing the ESS scores and improving the impaired neural functions greatly.

Objective To discuss the influence of the change in ceiling-mounted shield positions on the radiation doses to the first and second operators during percutaneous coronary intervention.Methods In this study,the entrance surface dose (ESD) rates were measured for the first and second operators at 125 cm and 155 cm height on different ceiling-mounted shield positions separately through transradial approach.Measurements were repeated 20 times for each position and T test was used for statistical analysis of dose rate arithmetic mean values.Results For the first operator,the effective dose values were obtained only on left foot position.The ESD rate values at ceiling-mounted shield position close to patient were higher than that close to operators (t125 =46.9,t155 =4.1,P ＜0.05).For the second operator,the ESD rate values on his foot position,right foot position,left anterior oblique position and right anterior oblique position at ceiling-mounted shield position close to the operator,were higher than that close to the patient separately (t125 =11.9,24.4,11.2,2.7,t155 =16.1,2.8,14.4,28.8,P ＜ 0.05).The ESD rate values on head position,left foot position,left head position at ceiling-mounted shield position close to the operator,were lower than that close to the patient (t125 =-4.3,-2.4,-80.4,t155 =-10.2,-6.7,-152.6,P ＜ 0.05).Conclusions The change in the ceiling-mounted shield positions gave rise to change in radiation dose to the operators.The changes in radiation doses caused by the changes in ceiling-mounted shield positions are different in various angiographic positions.Ceiling-mounted shield should be used in a reasonable way in agreement with different positions in percutaneous coronary intervention so as to effectively reduce operators radiation dose.
