Objective To study the relationship between the therapeutic principle and prescription of traditional Chinese medicine and the experimental pharmacologic effects in relation to the treatment of eczema. Methods Murine DNFB allergic contact dermatitis was used as an animal model, and was treated with 4 traditional Chinese medicinal compounds which were composed of Chinese materia medica with activities to suppress type Ⅳ allergic reaction. Results The results showed that the effect of compound Ⅲ composed of Paeoniae obovata Maxim(赤芍), Fructus Gardeniae(栀子), Herba Schizonepetae(荆芥), Herba Spirodelae(浮萍) and Poria(茯苓), possessing multiple potencies of cooling and promoting blood, clearing heat, expelling wind and eliminating dampness, was strongest among the compounds tested, and the compound up regulated the serum level of calcitonin gene related peptide which was lowered in the mice with DNFB induced dermatitis. Conclusion It is suggested that the compounds with suppressive effect on type Ⅳ allergic reaction might improve the therapeutic effect in clinical practice.

Objective To establish a test method for determining the vitamin B4 tablets dissolution.Methods Paddle method was used to 900 mL pH6.8 phosphate buffer solution as the dissolution medium, the temperature of 37℃, the speed of 50 r/min, take time for 45 min.Taking the filtrate through the 0.45μm microporous membrane filtration, vitamin B4 tablets dissolution quantity determined by ultraviolet spectrophotometry, determined the wavelength of 262 nm, dissolution limit for 80% of the labeled amount.Results Vitamin B4 concentration had a good linear relationship with the absorbance in 4~16μg/mL, r=0.9999 (n =5), the average recovery was 100.1%, RSD =1.0% (n=9).Conclusion The method is simple, sensitive and accurate, has certain effect on prescription and study of the process of different production enterprises, can be used for the dissolution determination of vitamin B4 tablets.

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of warm needling in treating neck-back myofasical pain syndrome. Method Sixty patients with neck-back myofasical pain syndrome were randomized into a treatment group and a control group, 30 cases in each group. The treatment group was intervened by warm needling therapy, while the control group was by electroacupuncture. The short-form McGill Pain Questionnaire (SF-MPQ) and Physion MD muscle resistance detector (Japan) were adopted to measure the count of tender points (red points and yellow points), Pain Rating Index (PRI), Visual Analogue Scale (VAS), and Present Pain Intensity (PPI) before and after the treatment, and the clinical efficacies were also compared.Result The total effective rate was 83.3% in the treatment group versus 66.7% in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The SF-MPQ scores (PRI, VAS, and PPI scores) were significantly changed in the treatment group after the intervention (P<0.05). In the control group, VAS and PPI scores were significantly changed after the treatment (P<0.05). After treatment, there were significant differences in comparing the SF-MPQ scores between the two groups (P<0.05). The counts of red and yellow tender points were significantly changed in the treatment group after the intervention (P<0.05). The count of red tender points was significantly changed in the control group after the intervention (P<0.05). After the treatment, there were significant differences in comparing the number of red and yellow tender points between the two groups (P<0.05).Conclusion Warm needling is an effective approach in treating neck-back myofascial pain syndrome.

In order to study the possible role of soluble interleukin-2 receptor (slL-2R) in the pathogenesis of vitiligo, we measured the levels of slL-2R in the sera and the tissue fluids from skin lesions and uninvolved skin from 41 patients with vitiligo, using the method of sandwich ELISA with monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies. Objectives To investigate the possible role of perforin (PFN) in the pathogenesis of severe preeclampsia.Methods Thirty-two cases of severe preeclampsia were included in the study.Thirtytwo cases of normal pregnancy were selected as control group in random.The expression of PFN mRNA in the peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) was detected by reverse transcription (RT)-PCR, and its correlation with mean arterial pressure was analyzed in severe preeclamptic patients.The expression of PFN protein in the decidua was detected by immunohistochemistry.Results ( 1 ) The expression of PFN mRNA in PBMC:the PFN mRNA level in severe preeclamptic group was 1.19 ± 0.31, and that in normal pregnancy group is 0.82 ± 0.28.The PFN mRNA level in severe preeclamptic group was significantly higher than that of control group (P ＜ 0.0l ).(2)Correlation analysis:the mean blood pressure in severe preeclampsia group was (133 ±5) mm Hg( 1 mm Hg =0.133 kPa).There was significant positive correlation between level of PFN mRNA in PBMC and mean blood pressure in severe preeclamptic patients ( r = 0.701, P = 0.000).(3)Decidual PFN protein expression:PFN protein was mainly expressed in lymphocytes and the cytoplasm of decidual stromal cells.The positive ratio of PFN in the decidua of severe preeclamptic patients was 84% ( 27/32), significantly higher than that of control group (53%, 17/32, P ＜ 0.01 ).Conclusions Expression of PFN was significantly increased in severe preeclampsia, and it was of significant positive correlation with mean blood pressure.PFN may participate in the pathogenesis of severe preeclampsia.

Objective To study the possible role of cytokines interleukin-1beta(IL-1?),interleukin-6(IL-6),interleukin-8(IL-8),tumor necrosis factor alpha(TNF-?)and granulocyte macrophage colony stimulating factor(GM-CSF)in the pathogenesis of vitiligo.Methods The serum levels of IL-?,IL-6,IL-8,TNF-?,and GM-CSF were measured in50patients with vitiligo and20healthy volunteers with radioimmunoassay.Results The serum level of IL-6and GM-CSF in focal type and generalized type of vitiligo,and the serum level of IL-1?in generalized type were significantly higher than those in normal controls.In segmental type of vitiligo,the serum levels of all the cytokines tested were not significantly different from those in normal controls.The GM-CSF levels in focal type and generalized type,and the IL-6level in generalized type of the progressive stage were significantly higher than those in the stable stage.Conclusion IL-6and GM-CSF may be involved in the autoimmune mechanism of non-segmental type of vitiligo.

Objective To study the relationship between nitric oxide(NO)and some cytokines and the pathogenesis of vitiligo.Methods Nitric acid reductase assay and ELISA were used to determine the serum levels of NO,and IFN-?,IL-10and IL-12in32patients with vitiligo,compared with18normal controls.The levels of these molecules in suction blister fluids,including involved skin and uninvolved skin from20patients,were also determined.Results The serum levels of NO and IFN-?in vitiligo patients were significantly higher than those in controls,and the serum level of IL-10in the patients was significantly lower than that in controls.The serum level of IFN-?in generalized type of vitiligo and the serum level of NO in localized type of vitiligo in active stage were higher than those in stable stage.The NO level in suction blister fluid of localized vitiligo of involved skin was significantly higher than that of uninvolved skin.Conclusion These findings suggest that NO,IFN-?and IL-10might be involved in the pathogenesis of vitiligo.

Objective To investigate the effect of delighted thinking on improving negative emotion of depression patients. Methods 100 depression patients were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group with 50 in each according to admission sequence. Both groups was executed antidepressionant drugs treatment and routine psychiatric care simultaneously. The observation group was given delighted thinking training on the basis of above treatment. The emotional recovery of two groups was observed. Results There was significant difference on facial expression, communication and limbs language after executing delighted thinking training in the observation group. And there was significant difference on scores of Hamilton depression rating scale (HAMD) at discharge. Scores of Nurses' Observation Scale during early, middle and late stage of delighted thinking training greatly improved compared with those before training. Conclusions Delighted thinking contributes to throw off negative thinking pattern of self-denial, stimulate positive passion threshold, improve depressed mood and raise treatment effect for depression patients.
