Objective To evaluate the ability of two sets parameters of the volome rendering technich(VRT)with multislice spiral CT(MSCT)to display the normal inner ear. Methods Fifty-eight inner ears of twenty-nine healthy volunteers were scanned and reconstructed with VRT.The images of VRT were recombinated with two sets(A,B)of parameters. Results The semicirculares、cochlea, vestibule, fenestra cochleae and vestibuli of inner ear could be visualized clearly by VRT images with"A"group's parameters. The vestibuli was displayed unsharply by VRT images with"B" group's parameters. Conclusions The double-threshold segmentation matching with manuleditor of VRT was successfully used to separate the inner ear from the temporal bone. And the semicirculares, cochiea, vestibule, fenestra cochleae and vestibuli of inner ear could be displayed clearly by VRT images of"A"group's parameters(threshold:256~765,935~1019,brightness:42,opacity:70).

Journal of Clinical Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery 2015;29(23):2038-2040
OBJECTIVE:
To evaluate nasal ventilation in allergic rhinitis patients after nasal provocation with acoustic rhinometry.
METHOD:
Twenty AR cases were selected. Each one was assessed for the nasal cavity volumes (NCV), nasal airway resistance (NR), nasal minimal cross-section area (NMCA) and distance of nasal minimal cross-section area from nostril (DCAN) by using acoustic rhinometry before and after nasal provocation 1 hour and 6 hours later. The results were statistically analyzed.
RESULT:
After nasal provocation 1 hour 1 later, NCV and NR had a significant difference compared with before nasal provocation(P<0. 05), but NMCA and DCAN had no difference (P > 0.05). After 6 hours later, NCV, NR, NMCA and DCAN had a significant difference compared with before nasal provocation (P < 0.05). NCV,NR,DCAN had a significant difference between 1 hour later and 6 hours later after provocation (P < 0.05), while NMCA had no difference (P > 0.05).
CONCLUSION
The nasal ventilation in allergic rhinitis after nasal provocation had declined over time.

Objective To explore the nursing method during bedside fibrobronehoseope to patients with inhalation injury and ensure the safety of the procedures. Methods 58 patients with inhalation injury with bed-side flbrobronehoseope treatment from 2005 to 2008 were retrospectively analyzed. Results 3 eases showed a-cute respiratory distress syndrome, 3 cases died of respiratory failure, 2 patients died of multiple organ failure, dyspnea, cough symptoms improved in others after sputum aspiration. Conclusions To master the preoperative, intraoperative, postoperative nursing methods during fibmbronehoscope can improve clinical efficacy.

Objective To analyze the perceived control of lung cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy and to explore its influencing factors. Methods A total of 185 patients with lung cancer were recruited and assessed by homemade general information questionnaire and the Cancer Experience and Efficacy Scale. Results The total score of cancer experience during chemotherapy in patients with lung cancer was (62.50±6.99) points. The total score of efficacy during chemotherapy in patients with lung cancer was (42.52±8.08) points. Single factor analysis showed the influencing factors of perceived control were personal income, sex, education, metastasis, surgical treatment and stage of disease. Conclusions The cancer-related experience and efficacy of patients with lung cancer is at middle level. Health-care worker should pay attention to the impact of lung cancer patients and take effective measures to mitigate the negative cancer-related experience, thereby improving the perceived control of the lung cancer patients.

Objective To investigate the effects of exercise on learning and memory after cerebral ischemia. Methods Ninety Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into a sham-operated group, a model group and a treadmill training group ( n=30 for each) , which were further subdivided into groups to receive 7 days, 14 days or 28 days of training with 10 rats in each. The training was treadmill running at 10 m/min for 30 min a day. Cerebral ische-mia was induced in the model and training groups using permanent, bilateral common carotid artery occlusion. The training began three days after the operation. Morris water maze tests were used to measure the rats′ learning and memory ability, and Nissl staining was employed to detect the survival rates of pyramidal neurons in the CA1 area of the hippocampus. Results The average escape latency in the treadmill trained group had shortened significantly by day 7, then further by days 14 and 28. It was significantly shorter than the model group′s average at each time point. The average platform crossing time increased significantly compared with the model group′s average. Few dead neu-rons were observed in the sham-operated group. On days 14 and 28 the average survival rate of pyramidal neurons in the model group was significantly lower than in the treadmill training group or the sham-operated group, though there was no significant difference on day 7. Conclusion Treadmill training can improve learning and memory after cere-bral ischemia, at least in rats. Better effects can be observed after longer training.

Human height, a complex trait with over 80% heritability, is determined by genetic and environment factors. Currently, a certain amount of specific variants about human height have been found, especially with the widely used of genome-wide association studies (GWAS) in genetics research, making it a great progress for the discovering of height associated genes. However, single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) found by GWAS can only explain a minority of the heritable. This article reviews the progress of GWAS about height associated genes and missing heritability domestic and overseas.

Objective To detect the effect of chitosan gel on rectal injury which was induced by acetic acid. Methods 36 rats were anesthetized, 4% acetic acid swab was placed into the rectum (3 cm in depth for 1 min) to establish rectum injury model. These rats were divided into model control group, positive control group and drug group with 12 rats each group randomly. Chitosan gel was given to the drug group through anus with the dose of 1 575 mg·kg-1 , and hemorrhoid cream (1 575 mg·kg-1 ) was administered in the positive control group for 6 successive days. At 30 min, 1, 4, 6 day( s) after administration, 3 rats of each group were sacrificed, and were dissected, rectal injury and rectal pathology morphology changing of each group at different time points of administration were compared through visual observation. Results At 30 min, 1, 4, and 6 day(s) after administrating chitosan gel, score of rectum mucosa injury in dury group was lower than those in model control and positive control group. Pathological changes ( including epithelial tissue necrosis, mesenchyme hyperemia, hemorrhage, edema, gland injury, infiltration of inflammatory cells) were significantly slighter in drug group than in model control group and positive control group. Those lesions were restored faster in drug group than in model control group and positive control group, and there was no obvious scar. Conclusion Chitosan gel can obviously alleviate the rectal injury caused by 4% acetic acid and has therapeutic effect.
