Chinese Journal of Minimally Invasive Surgery 2001;0(04):-
Objective To explore the techniques and effects of excision of vocal cord polyps under sustaining laryngoscope. Medthods Nasal endoscopy was used to obtain a better exposure during excision of vocal cord polyps under sustaining laryngoscope. Results Out of the 128 cases, 100 cases (78 1%) were cured and 28 cases (21 9%) were improved. Among 50 cases of type Ⅰ polyps, 43 (86%) were cured and 7 (14%) improved; among 40 cases of type Ⅱ polyps, 38 (95%) were cured and 2 (5%) improved; among 38 cases of type Ⅲ, 19 (50%) were cured and 19 (50%) improved. The therapeutic effects in cases of type Ⅰ and Ⅱ polyps were significantly better than those in cases of type Ⅲ polyps ( ? 2=13 442 and 20 057; P =0 000). Follow up for 5 months ~ 4 years (mean, 2 years) found no recurrence and complications. Conclusions Application of nasal endoscopy in operations for vocal cord polyps under sustaining laryngoscope may reduce the invasion during operation, shorten the operation time, and avoid or minimize the occurrence of complications.

Objective To investigate the effects of microRNA-506 (miR-506) on malignant phenotype of colorectal carcinoma cells. To identify the target gene of miR-506 in colon carcinoma. Methods SW480 cells were divided into five groups, known as normal cell group, miR-506 overexpression and, miR-506 inhibition groups with their vehicle groups. The migration and invasion abilities of SW480 cells were measured with Transwell migration assay. Cell viability and colony forming activities were measured by CCK8 and colony formation assays, respectively. Furthermore, bioinformatic method, green fluorescent protein (GFP) reporter assays, quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) and Western blot were applied to predict potential target genes of miR-506. Results The number of migrated and invasive cells, viability and clonality in the miR-506 overexpression groups reduced. LAMC1 mRNA and protein levels in the miR-506 overexpression groups were lower than those in the control groups. Conclusion LAMC1 is a direct target gene for miR-506 and miR-506 could inhibit the cell migratioin and invasion.

Objective To explore the clinical effect of ozone combined with nifuratel nystatin vaginal soft capsules on the treatment of vaginitis, and to provide the basis for clinical application. Methods 204 patients with vaginitis in our hospital from January 2013 to December 2016 were divided into the observation group (114 cases) and the control group (90 cases) according to the different treatment methods. The control group was treated with nifuratel nystatin vaginal soft capsules, and the observation group was treated with ozone combined with nifuratel nystatin vaginal soft capsules. The clinical efficacy, symptom relief time and adverse reaction were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, the total effective rate in the observation was 97.37%, which was significantly higher than 85.56% in the control group(P<0.05). The rapid remission rate of the clinical symptoms in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups. Conclusion The effect is significant that ozone combined with nifuratel nystatin vaginal soft capsules is used on the treatment of vaginitis, which can quickly relieve symptoms, and will not significantly increase the adverse reactions, is worthy of application.

Objective To study the role of genomic imprinting of IGF2 gene in the development of lung cancer. Methods The IGF2 genomic imprinting was studied among 32 patients with lung cancer and the normal lung tissues by using PCR and RFLP.Results Twelve out of the 32 patients were informative(37.5),among whom 10 exhibited biallelic expression,i.e.,LOI(83.3).The matched normal tissues from 4 of these 10 patients also showed weak biallelic expression of IGF2.Conclusion The findings indicate that the loss of IGF2 imprinting is involved in the development of lung cancer.

Inorganic/polymer hybrid star polylactic acid (POSS-PLA) was obtained through ring-opening polymerization of lactide by using polyhydroxyl cage silsesquioxane (POSS-OH) as the core and tin (II) octoate as the catalyst. The star polylactic acid (POSS-PLA) was used to modify sodium alginate hydrophobically and a drug carrier was obtained. The drug release behavior was investigated by using ibuprofen as the model drug. The results showed that the drug loading rate could be improved and the release rate was postponed with an increase of POSS-PLA content in the carries. The release mechanism gradually changed from the first-order to the zero-order pattern after the modification.

BACKGROUND:Liver fibrosis is a kind of chronic and active disease that is caused by various causes and characterized by the excessive accumulation of extracelular matrix. At present, use of Chinese herbs for the treatment of hepatic fibrosis has obvious advantages. Salvia miltiorrhiza has been shown to be highly effective in the treatment of hepatic fibrosis. However, the underlying mechanism needs further investigation. OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effects of TanshinoneⅡA on the expression levels of transforming growth factor-β/Smads signaling pathway related factors transforming growth factor-β, bone morphogenetic protein 7, Smad6 and Smad7 in the liver tissue of rats with hepatic fibrosis. METHODS:SD rats were randomly divided into three groups (n = 10): normal control, model and TanshinoneⅡA-treated groups. Rats in the model and TanshinoneⅡA-treated groups were subtaneously injected with olive oil-diluted 10% CCl4 ( 5 mL/kg) twice a week, 8 weeks in total, to build rat models of hepatic fibrosis. Four weeks after hepatic fibgrosis induction, rats in the TanshinoneⅡA-treated group received subtaneous injection of TanshinoneⅡA til eight weeks. Rats in the normal control group were subcutaneously injected with olive oil. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: Western blotting and reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) detection showed that in the model group, the expression of transforming growth factor-β in the rat liver tissue was significantly increased (P < 0.01) and the expression of bone morphogenetic protein-7, Smad6 and Smad7 was significantly decreased (P < 0.01) compared with the normal control group. TanshinoneⅡA could obviously reverse the expression of those factors above-mentioned (P < 0.01). The results suggest that TanshinoneⅡA can be used for treatment of hepatic fibrosis by decreasing the expression of transforming growth factor-β and increasing the expression of bone morphogenetic protein-7, Smad6 and Smad7.
