BACKGROUND:Transplanted neural stem cel s can survive, proliferate and differentiate into neurons and/or glial cel s in the host, thereby promoting partial function recovery in the host.
OBJECTIVE:To study the therapeutic effects of neural stem cel transplantation on cerebral palsy rats. METHODS:Twenty-four rats were randomly divided into three groups:control group, model group and transplantation group. Animal models of cerebral palsy were made in the latter two groups. One week after modeling, rats in the transplantation group were injected 1 mL stem cel suspension (1×105) via the jugular vein, and rats in the control and model group were given the same volume of normal saline. Toe distance, step length and elevated body swing test in rats were detected, and histopathological changes in the rat brain were observed 3 weeks after transplantation.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:In the model group, the toe distance and step length of the front left palm were significantly lower than those of the front right palm (P<0.05). Compared with the model group, the toe distance and step length in the transplantation and control groups were significantly increased (P<0.05). In the elevated body swing test, rats in the model group presented with asymmetric swing of the
body, but rats in the other two groups exhibited symmetric swing of the body (P<0.05). Additional y, the ratio of right to left hemispheric areas was significantly higher in the transplantation and control groups compared with the model group (P<0.05). In conclusion, neural stem cel transplantation via the jugular vein can improve brain function and restore motor function in rats with cerebral palsy.

Glucagon and its analogues are a intestinal stimulating insulin screened by the small intestinal L cells. It can smoothly penetrate the blood-brain barrier into the brain tissue and play a neuropro-tective role. Liraglutide and glucagon and its analogues have higher homology. After entering the brain tissue, it is able to bind with the related receptors and activates Nrf2/HO-1 signaling pathway and thus reducing the production of oxidative stress products, increases the glutathione, heme oxygen synthase, superoxide dismutase and other phase Ⅱ detoxification enzymes, promotes angiogenesis, and protects the nerve cells of diabetes combined with cerebral ischemia injury.

OBJECTIVE:To observe clinical efficacy and safety of naloxone hydrochloride combined with Danshen injection in the treatment of neonatal hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy(HIE). METHODS:104 patients with HIE were randomly divided into observation group and control group with 52 cases in each group. The control group was treated with Naloxone hydrochloride injec-tion 0.02 mg/kg,ivgtt,qd and conventional symptomatic treatment;while observation group was additionally treated with Danshen injection 4-6 ml+10% Glucose injection 20 ml,ivgtt,qd,on the basis of the control group. Treatment course of 2 groups lasted for 7 d. Clinical efficacy, symptom and sign recovery of 2 groups were compared,as well as levels of serum MMP-9,IL-6 and TNF-α,cerebral hemodynamic parameters and ADR. RESULTS:There was no statistical significance in MMP-9,IL-6,TNF-α and cerebral hemodynamic parameters before treatment(P>0.05). The total effective rate of observation group(92.31%)was signifi-cantly higher than that of control group (75.00%);after treatment, the recovery time of consciousness disturbance, primitive re-flex and muscle tension in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group;the levels of serum MMP-9,IL-6 and TNF-α in observation group were significantly lower than those in control group;peak systolic flow velocity(PSFV),end-dia-stolic flow velocity (EDTV) were higher in the observation group than in the control group, with statistical significance (P<0.05);resistance index (RI) was lower than in control group, but without statistical significance (P>0.05). No ADR was ob-served in 2 groups. CONCLUSIONS:Naloxone hydrochloride combined with Danshen injection can significantly promote HIE and signs recovery, reduce the levels of serum MMP-9,IL-6 and TNF-α,and improve hemodynamic parameters with good safety.

Objective To establish an HPLC method for determination of low-molecular-weight carbonyl compounds in the oil-containing herbs. Methods After carbonyl compounds in the samples were extracted with water, the solution reacted with 2, 4-dinitrophenylhydrazine (DNPH) in an acidic medium to form 2, 4-dinitrophenylhydrazone derivatives, which were separated on Kromasil KR100-5 C18 column (250 mm× 4.6 mm, 5 μm). The mobile phase A was water-acetonitrile-tetrahydrofuran-isopropanol (59∶30∶10∶1), mobile phase B was water-acetonitrile (35∶65), gradient elution. The flow rate was 0.8 mL/min, detection wavelength was 365 nm, and column temperature was 30 ℃. Results Good linearities were obtained in corresponding concentration ranges, with correlation coefficient over 0.999. The limits of detection of the eight DNPH derivatives were 0.002-0.008 μg/mL, and the average recoveries were 88.49%-93.65%. Conclusion The method is simple, accurate and reliable, with good reproducibility.

Objective To analyze retrospectively the impact of different heart rates on image quality and radiation dose of coronary angiography using 640-slice dynamic volume CT.Methods A total of 461 patients with suspected coronary artery disease or referred to health check underwent coronary angiography with 640-slice dynamic volume CT.Two groups were created according to their heart rates:Group A had heart rate < 65 beats per minute (n=337)and Group B had heart rate between 65 to 122 beats per minute (n=124).Image quality was assessed by analyzing the 1 5 segments of the main coronary branches using 3-grade scale (grade I-good,grade Ⅱ-acceptable,grade Ⅲ-poor).Effective radiation dose was also evaluated. Results Patients in both A group and B group performed successful CT coronary angiography with a total of 6 91 5 coronary segments.Among them, coronary segments that could be evaluated reliably accounted for 94.5% (6 535/6 91 5)while 5.5% (380/6 91 5)were too small (≤1.5 mm)to be assessed. For the image quality,Group A and Group B had grade I in 90.5% (305/337)vs 74.2% (92 /124),grade Ⅱ in 9.5% (32/337)vs 21.0% (26 / 124)and grade Ⅲ in 0 % (0 / 337 )vs 4.8% (6 / 124),respectively.Image quality was significantly different be-tween Group A and Group B (P <0.001).In addition,32 patients (9.5%)in Group A had slight cardiac motion artifacts but with-out affecting image quality, whereas 26 patients (21.0%)in Group B had higher degree of cardiac motion artifacts thus graded as grade Ⅱ.Stair-step artifacts were not found in all patients. The effective radiation dose was higher in Group B than in Group A by 32.05%(7.91±0.34 mSv vs 5.99±0.17 mSv).Conclusion Coronary angiography using 640-slice dynamic volume CT can guarantee excellent image quality when heart rate < 65 beats per minute.Although the image quality would decrease in some extent it is still diagnostic when heart rate is between 65 to 122(include 65 and 122)beats per minute.

Objective:
To analyze the epidemiological characteristics of varicella epidemic situation at schools and kindergartens in Fengxian district of Shanghai during 2012-2018, and to provide evidence for developing control and prevention strategies.
Methods:
Data of varicella epidemic situation at schools and kindergartens and varicella cases were analyzed by descriptive methods. The rates were compared with chi-square test.
Results:
A total of 6 727 varicella cases were reported in Fengxian during 2012-2018, for an incidence of 85.34 per 100 000 population. Totally 66 varicella epidemic outbreaks and public health emergencies caused by varicella were reported, which involved 741 varicella cases. Among them, 426 were breakthrough cases (57.49%). The average interval time of breakthrough cases were (6.78±2.79)years, and the incidence was more concentrated in the 3-9 years after vaccination with varicella vaccine. Most breakthrough cases appeared 5 years past vaccination. The peak time of varicella was from April to June and from October to December. Most of cases were in the 5-11 year-old group and 15-17 year-old group. The cases in males was higher than in females. Kindergarten childcare and primary school children were at high risk of varicella. Timeliness of reporting was positively correlated with the duration of the varicella epidemic situation( r =0.52, P <0.05).
Conclusion
Most varicella epidemic situation in Fengxian district of Shanghai occued in primary schools during autumn and winter, and most of the varicella cases were breakthrough cases. Emergency vaccination of varicella vaccine can effectively control the spread of the epidemic. It is suggested to increase the publicity of the immunization program of 2 doses of varicella vaccine and raise the awareness of varicella vaccination of children’s parents.
