By studying of the pathology of human sleep and respiration disorder diseases, the method of sleep and respiration measurement, the evaluation index, a kind of micro sleep monitor and evaluation system was designed. Based on the methods of spectrum absorption and force changing, using high performance pulse oxygen saturation monitoring technology and respiration monitoring technology, developing a low-cost, high usability sleep monitor system which is convenience for family using. It can measure the signal of human oxygen saturation and chest respiration, can improve the quality of signal and reliable from arithmetic and sensor installing.

Objective:To investigate the protective effect of Epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG) on triptolide (TP)-induced immunological liver injuries, and explore the relevant mechanisms of action. Methods: A total of 40 female C57BL/6 mice were randomly divided into four groups:control group,EGCG group,TP group and TP+EGCG group. The ALT levels in serum was examined by Reitman Frankel method. The activity of hepatic MDA,SOD and GSH was examined by spectrophotometry. HE staining was used to observed the changes of the hepatic histopathology. The hepatic IL-17,IL-6 levels was examined by ELISA and the expression of hepatic TLR4 protein was examined by Western blot. Results:The results showed that serum alanine aminotransaminase ( ALT) levels of TP group were obviously elevated (P<0. 005,vs normal control group) and serum ALT levels were obviously reduced in EGCG treatment group(P<0. 005,vs normal TP group). There were no significantly differences between EGCG group and control group (P>0. 05). Meanwhile,EGCG could ameliorate hepatic pathological damage. Furthermore,in TP group, the activity of malondialdehyde ( MDA) ,the expression of Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) protein and the contentration of hepatic interleukin (IL)-17,IL-6 were higher than normal control group ( P<0. 005 ) . On the contrary, the activity of superoxide dismutase ( SOD ) and restored glutathione ( GSH ) were significantly lower than normal control group ( SOD, P<0. 05;GSH, P<0. 005 ) . In EGCG treatment group, the expression of TLR4 protein and the concentration of MDA,hepatic IL-17 and IL-6 were lower than TP group ( TLR4,P<0. 05;MDA,P<0. 005;IL-17,P<0. 005;IL-6,P<0. 005). On the contrary,SOD and GSH were significantly higher than TP group (SOD,P<0. 05;GSH,P<0. 005). Conclusion:This study suggests that EGCG possesses hepatoprotective effect against TP-induced immunological liver injury through its anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant actions.

In this paper, a series of low-molecular-weight PEG-PCL-PEG triblock copolymers were successfully synthesized by ring-opening polymerization method, and were characterized using 1H-NMR and FTIR. The aqueous solution displayed specific thermosensitive gel-sol transition when the concentration was above corresponding critical gel concentration (CGC). The gel-sol phase diagram was recorded using test tube-inverting method, which was depended on the hydrophilic/hydrophobic balance in macromolecular structure, as well as heating history. As a result, the gel-sol transition temperature range could be altered, which might be very useful for its application as injectable drug delivery system.

The high-pass filter which is designed to overcome the polarization voltage in the ECG measurements can affect the measurement of the ST-segment; but the accuracy of the ST-segment will have an impact on the diagnosis and treatment of heart diseases. This paper used the ECG detection platform to test the effect of the high-pass filter at different frequency and studied the effect of the high-pass filter on the ST segment to ensure proper use of different application modes.

OBJECTIVESTo compare the prognostic value of three lymph node(N) staging systems, including the number of metastatic lymph nodes(pN), the metastatic lymph node ratio (Nr) and the log odds of positive lymph nodes (LODDS), in gastric cancer patients after radical resection.
METHODSClinical and pathological data of 1 796 patients who underwent gastric cancer radical resection with complete follow-up information from January 2000 to December 2010 at Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center were retrospectively analyzed. For each patient, N stages were classified according to three lymph node staging systems (pN, Nr, and LODDS). The relationship between each N staging was examined. Survival was analyzed using the Cox's proportional hazard model, and discrimination of staging system was determined using the change value of Chi squared statistic (▹χ) from the log-likelihood test. A larger ▹χvalue indicates a better discriminatory ability. The homogeneity of 5-year overall survival across each pN stage within each Nr and LODDS stage was compared by using the log-rank test. The subgroup analysis was performed to evaluate whether each of the competing system was affected by the number of lymph nodes retrieved.
RESULTSThe mean number of lymph node examined and positive nodes in the entire cohort was 21.1±12.1 and 7.9±8.2,respectively. The median overall survival of all the patients was 45 months (95% CI: 42.6 to 47.4 months), and the 5-year survival rate was 55.0%(95% CI: 52.6% to 57.4%). The ▹χof Nr system was 198.546, which was higher than that of pN(191.255) and LODDS(196.557) system. Except for the pN3b stage, significant heterogeneity was found among patients of different Nr subcategories in 5-year overall survival rate (all P<0.05) within each pN stage. While there was no significant difference in overall survival when any of the Nr stages was stratified by pN stages(all P>0.05). Significant difference in survival among patients of different LODDS subcategories was also seen within each pN stage. But for the LODDS system, the survival rate was similar among patients of different pN subcategories (all P>0.05) apart from the LODDS3 stage. The hazard ratios of patients with insufficient lymph nodes examined (≤15) were higher than those with sufficient nodes examined (>15) when the pN classification was used (all P<0.05), whereas similar results were not found if the Nr or LODDS classification was applied.
CONCLUSIONCompared with the pN staging system, both the Nr and LODDS staging system, especially the former, have a higher degree of discrimination ability and robustness to predict the prognosis in patients with gastric cancer after radical resection.
