2. Cancer burden and preventive strategy in Eastern Asia
Tumor 2008;28(5):410-414
Objective: To evaluate the current cancer burden and the dominant risk factors of cancer in Eastern Asia, and to provide the preventive strategies for cancer control. Methods: The measures such as incidence, mortality and prevalence of cancer were selected to examine the cancer burden by using global cancer databases and the data of cancer incidence in the five continents, and the future preventive strategies were developed on the basis of the results. Results: The new cancer cases, cancer deaths and the cases living with cancer in Eastern Asia were more than 2.8 million, 2 million and 4.9 million per year, respectively. The five most-frequently-diagnosed cancers were gastric cancer (18.7%), lung cancer (16.9%), liver cancer (14.2%), esophageal cancer (9.4%) and colon/rectal cancer (9.1%), accounting for 68% of the total new cancer cases per year. We predicted that the numbers of the new cancer cases and the cancer deaths in Eastern Asia by the year 2050 were estimated to be 6 million and 4.5 million, respectively. Conclusion: Cancer is a current serious public health problem in Eastern Asia, and will be a continuosly substantial problem in the future. The guidelines of cancer control should be focused on the preventive strategies in Eastei Asia.
3.Research progress on the regulatory mechanism of gastric cancer stem cell
Journal of International Oncology 2013;(1):57-61
Gastric cancer stem cells are defined as a subset of gastric cancer cells that possess stem cell properties, including self-renewal and multiplex differentiation potential, and have crucial roles in tumor initiation, progression, invasion, metastasis and recurrence.Epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) can facilitate the invasion and metastasis of cancer cells to distant tissues, and confer the metastatic cancer cells some abilities of stem cells.Several transcription factors of EMT,signaling pathways and microRNAs (miRNAs) are involved in the process of regulating gastric cancer stem cells.
4.Analysis and prevention of the failure reason of internal fixation in peritrochanteric fractures
Chinese Journal of Postgraduates of Medicine 2013;36(32):38-40
Objective To summarize and analyze the failure reason of internal fixation operation in peritrochanteric fractures and propose appropriate prevention measures. Methods The clinical data of 229 patients with peritrochanteric fractures were retrospectively analyzed, the failure reason of internal fixation was analyzed by the univariate and multivariate Logistic regression analysis. Results The univariate analysis showed that the patients' age, gender composition, types of internal fixation had no significantly correlated with the failure of internal fixation (P > 0.05) ; the Garden reset index, bone quality, fracture type and load time had significantly correlated with the failure of internal fixation (P < 0.05).The multivariate Logistic analysis showed that load time was the independent risk factors for fixation failure (OR =13.515).Conclusion The weight-bearing time points should be selected according to the bone quality, fracture type, and degree of intraoperative reset, thereby reducing the risk of surgery failure.
5.The effect of transmembrane tumor necrosis factor-alpha on human cervical carcinoma HeLa cells
Chinese Journal of Postgraduates of Medicine 2014;37(9):4-6
Objective To study the effect of transmembrane tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TM-TNF-αt) on human cervical carcinoma HeLa cells, and explore the correlations with silencer of death domain (SODD).Methods The expression of proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) was detected by immunocytochemistry. The expression of SODD in human cervical carcinoma HeLa cells undisposed and after disposed with TM-TNF-α was detected by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction, and the influence of TM-TNF-α on human cervical carcinoma HeLa cells was analyzed. Results The positive rate of PCNA in undisposed human cervical carcinoma HeLa cells was 80.3% (155/193),in human cervical carcinoma HeLa cells disposed with TM-TNF-α was 46.7% (85/182),there was statistical difference (P < 0.05).The cycle index of polymerase chain reaction in human cervical carcinoma HeLa cells was 28 times, the amplification product was disposed by 2% agarose gel electrophoresis, the gray scale disposed by TM-TNF-α and undisposed human cervical carcinoma HeLa cells were 1.377 ± 0.170 and 0.815 ± 0.040,there was statistical difference (P < 0.05).Conclusion TM-TNF-α has obvious cytotoxic effect on human cervical carcinoma HeLa cells in vitro which may due to its up-regulating the expression of SODD.
6.The Analysis on allocation status and problem of the large medical equipment
China Medical Equipment 2016;13(7):121-123
Objective: To analyze the problems of large medical equipment allocation in our country, put forward the method and basis of scientific configuration. Methods: The current situation of large medical equipment allocation was analyzed by the methods of literature, statistics and analysis, in order to understand the operating costs and benefits and provide a scientific configuration tool when bringing in medical technology. Results: The configuration of large medical equipment has some problems, such as the uneven distribution of medical resources, equipment shortage, blind purchase of high-end equipment, low localization rate and so on. These problems will directly lead to the unreasonable allocation and the waste of medical resources. Conclusion:The configuration of large medical equipment must comply with the relevant provisions of the state by the HTA and other scientific methods, so as to improve the level of investment decision-making. It will make the use of medical resources efficiently and reasonably.
7.Detection of Mycobacterial16S rRNA Gene and M.tuberculosis DNA in Skin Lesions of Sarcoidosis with Polymerase Chain Reaction
Chinese Journal of Dermatology 1995;0(04):-
Objective To investigate the possible role of mycobacterial infection in the pathogenesis of sarcoidosis. Methods DNA fragments of mycobacterial16S rRNA gene and the complex-specific insertion sequence IS6110of M.tuberculosis were detected by polymerase chain reaction(PCR)in formalin-fixed,paraffin-embeded skin biopsy specimens from12patients with sarcoidosis. Results Mycobacterial common sequence16S rRNA gene was found in6patients,among which5were further confirmed as M.tuberculosis, the other one was atypical mycobacteria. The IS6110DNA fragment amplified by PCR was confirmed by DNA sequencing. Conclusion The above findings suggest an aetiological role of mycobacterial infection, especially M.tuberculosis,in some patients with sarcoidosis.

10.Detection and identification of Mycobacteria with polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP)from patients with Mycobacterial skin infections
Journal of Peking University(Health Sciences) 2003;0(05):-
Objective: To establish a rapid approach to the detection and identification of Mycobacteria from lesions of patients with suspected Mycobacterial infections. Methods: Specimens were obtained from five patients suspected to have Mycobacterial infections. DNA extracted from clinical samples was amplified by nested PCR. The PCR products were digested with Hha Ⅰ, MboⅠ, and BstUⅠ restriction enzymes and applied to PAGE. The species of Mycobacteria were determined by restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) analysis. Identification of Mycobacteria culture was also performed in 3 patients. Results: M. marinum was found in two patients diagnosed as swimming pool granuloma. M. tuberculosis was found in one patient diagnosed as infectious skin granuloma. All these 3 Mycobacteria were confirmed by Mycobacteria culture. A strain of M. tuberculosis and a strain of M. fortuitum were detected in remain two patients. Conclusion: The results above indicate that PCR-RFLP analysis is rapid and reliable in detection and identification of different Mycobacteria species from skin tissues. Application of this method will be helpful for early diagnosis and treatment of Mycobacteria skin infections.
