Objective To discuss theoretical structure model for the scale of recurrent oral ulcer (ROU) with traditional Chinese medicine characteristics; To lay a theoretical foundation for further developing scale. Methods This study followed international patients reported outcome (PRO) scale development specification, combined TCM theories, including the theory of mouth dominate and five internal organs correlation, uniformed spirit and body, correspondence between human and the universe, seven emotions, constructed theoretical structure of PRO scale of ROU. Results The theoretical structure of PRO scale of ROU included four major areas as physiology, psychology, independence, and society and nature. Conclusion Theoretical model of PRO scale of ROU laies the foundation and provides the oretical guidance for the formulation of PRO scale of the ROU.

Surgical resection is currently the main method for the treatment of primary liver cancer. The appearance of new techniques, such as three-dimensional visualization, 3D printing, virtual reality, indocyanine green molecular fluorescence imaging, and hepatectomy with intraoperative navigation, has provided new methods for the preoperative diagnosis, surgical planning, and intraoperative navigation of primary liver cancer. Among these techniques, three-dimensional visualization shows incomparable advantages in the diagnosis of primary liver cancer, the selection of treatment regimen, preoperative planning, intraoperative navigation, and liver transplantation. This article summarizes the recent advances in the application of three-dimensional visualization in surgical operation for primary liver cancer.

Objective:Based on single-center clinical results of endovascular recanalization for symptomatic non-acute internal carotid artery occlusion (ICAO), a new patient classification method is proposed to distinguish the most suitable ICAO patient subgroups for endovascular recanalization. Methods:A total of 140 patients with symptomatic non-acute ICAO accepted endovascular recanalization in Department of Cerebrovascular Intervention, He'nan Provincial People's Hospital from January 2019 to December 2021 were selected. These patients were divided into low risk group ( n=57), medium risk group ( n=54) and high risk group ( n=29) according to the occlusion segments, occlusion times, plaque features, calcification at the occlusion site and occlusion segment angulation. The immediate postoperative recanalization rate, perioperative complications, perioperative death, and prognoses 90 d after endovascular recanalization (modified Rankin scale scores of 0-2 as good prognosis) were evaluated in the 3 groups. Results:The immediate postoperative recanalization rate was 82.9% (114/140), perioperative complication rate was 11.4% (16/140), and perioperative mortality was 0.7% (1/140). The success recanalization rate decreased gradually from the low risk group to the high risk group (100%, 85.2%, and 37.9%), while the perioperative complication rate was the opposite (0%, 11.1%, and 34.5%), with significant differences ( P<0.05). Ninety d after endovascular recanalization, 109 patients had good prognosis and 27 had poor prognosis; the good prognosis rate in low risk group, medium risk group and high risk group was 98.2%, 79.6% and 34.5%, respectively, with significant differences ( P<0.05). The vascular restenosis rate in low risk group, medium risk group and high risk group was 0%, 8.7% and 18.2%, and re-occlusion rate was 0%, 6.5% and 27.2%, respectively, 90 d after endovascular recanalization, with significant differences ( P<0.05). Conclusion:Endovascular recanalization is technically feasible for patients with symptomatic non-acute ICAO, especially those met the criterions of low and medium risk groups in our study.

Objective: To investigate the relationship between drug resistance and expression of ABC-binding cassette subfamily B member 1 (ABCB1) as well as its promoter methylation in pancreatic cancer. Methods: Fifteen pairs of pancreatic cancerous tissues and corresponding para-cancerous tissues, which were pathologically verified in Fujian Cancer Hospital from August 2015 to August 2018, were collected for this study; in addition, 3 cases of normal pancreatic tissues and pancreatic cancer cell line SW1990 were also collected. Gemcitabine (GEM)-resistant human pancreatic cancer cell line SW1990/GZ was induced by intermittent concentration gradient multiplication method. The expression level ofABCB1 in SW1990 cells, SW1990/GZ cells, pancreatic cancer tissues and apara-cancerous tissues was detected by qPCR. Methylation of ABCB1 promoter region in SW1990 cells, SW1990/GZ cells and pancreatic cancerous tissues was determined by MSP-PCR. Results: Compared with SW1990 cells, the morphology of SW1990/GZ cells showed more vacuoles, more mitotic images, clumpy growth and increased drug resistance (P<0.05). ABCB1 expression in pancreatic cancer tissues was significantly higher than that in para-cancerous tissues (P<0.01). The expression of ABCB1 in SW1990 and SW1990/GZ cells was significantly higher than that in normal pancreatic tissues (P<0.05 or P<0.01), and the expression of ABCB1 in SW1990/GZ cells was higher than that in SW1990 cells (P<0.05). ABCB1 promoters in SW1990, SW1990/GZ cells and normal pancreatic tissues were hypomethylated. Rate of methylation in pancreatic can cerous tissues and normalpancreatic tissues was 6.7%(1/15) and 0.00%(0/3) respectively, and the difference was statistically insignificant (all P>0.05). Conclusion: Increased ABCB1 expression in pancreatic cancer tissues and cells is associated with drug resistance, but its gene expression does not depend on promoter methylation regulation.
