2.Progress of hyperhomocysteinemia hazard and pathogenesis
Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 2014;(9):1205-1208
Homocysteine ( Hcy) is an independent risk factor for a variety of diseases and closely related to cardiac-cerebralvascu-lar diseases, neurological diseases, diabetes and diabetic com-plications. High homocysteine levels can significantly increase the recurrence risks of cardiac-cerebralvascular events and stroke in patients with stroke, leading to high all-cause mortality. The risk of Alzheimer’s disease is increased by 1. 8 fold when the concentration of Hcy is over 14 μmol·L-1 . For each 5 μmol· L-1 increase in plasma Hcy in diabetes patients, the mortality rate increases by 5 fold in the next five years. High Hcy triggers the pathogenesis of diseases via multiple mechanisms including oxidative stress, lesions of vascular endothelial cells, prolifera-tion of vascular smooth muscle cells, dysfunction of coagulation and lipid metabolism and genomic hypomethylation etc.

4.Progress in research on relationship between microRNA-7 and lung cancer
Practical Oncology Journal 2016;30(1):48-52
MicroRNA-7(miR-7)was firstly found in Drosophila melanogaster, which participated in the formation of Drosophila wings, eggs and so on.In human being miR-7 is not only involved in cell prolifera-tion and differentiation, but also plays an important role in the development of tumor, especially in lung cancer. Most studies report that miR-7 is low expression in lung cancer with poor prognosis.Improving the expression of miR-7 can inhibit tumor growth.MiR-7 can regulate the expression of BCL-2,EGFR negatively, meanwhile it can regulate the sensitivity of tumor cells to radiotherapy chemotherapy and targeted therapy. Therefore,as a tumor suppressor,miR-7 is expected to become a new target for treatment of lung cancer.
5.Macrovascular complications in elderly patients with diabetes mellitus
Chinese Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism 2014;30(10):882-885
Diabetes mellitus is particularly prevalent among aging people in recent years.Compared with diabetes in young and middle aged, geriatric diabetes has specific pathophysiology.Macrovascular complications of Type 2 diabetes including coronary heart disease, myocardial infarction, heart failure, stroke and peripheral artery disease, cause increased disability and mortality in aged populations. In order to prevent macrovascular complications, management strategies should be taken in treating hyperglycemia, hypertension, dyslipidemia, and hypercoagulability.

Journal of Preventive Medicine 2023;35(7):615-619
Objective:
To investigate the status of physical fitness among children at ages of 3 to 6 years in Chaoyang District, Beijing Municipality, so as to provide insights into improvements in children's physical fitness.
Methods:
Physical fitness test data were collected from children at ages of 3 to 6 years in Chaoyang District based on the Fifth National Physical Fitness Monitoring Program, including basic characteristics, body shape, physical function and quality. The physical fitness test results were compared among children with different genders and ages, and factors affecting the physical fitness were identified among children at ages of 3 to 6 years using a multiple linear regression model.
Results:
Totally 988 children at ages of 3 to 6 years were enrolled, including 490 boys (49.60%) and 498 girls (50.40%), and 300 children at an age of 3 years (30.36%), 329 children at an age of 4 years (33.30%), 297 children at an age of 5 years (30.06%) and 62 children at an age of 6 years (6.28%). The participants had a mean height of (109.46±7.31) cm, body weight (18.98±3.82) kg, sitting height of (61.99±3.39) cm, chest circumference of (52.87±4.04) cm, static heart rate of (98.04±9.61) beats per minute, grip strength of (4.78±2.22) kg, standing long jump of (75.01±21.89) cm, seated forward bend of (10.07±4.51)cm, double-foot continuous jump of (7.54±3.84) s, 15-meter obstacle run of (8.73±1.66) s and balance beam walking of (8.54±4.72) s. Boys had greater sitting height, chest circumference and grip strength and lower 15-meter obstacle run and static heart rate than girls (P<0.05), while girls had higher seated forward bend than boys (P<0.05). There were significant differences in all test items among children at different ages (P<0.05). Multiple linear regression analysis identified non-only child (β'=0.064), non-overweight/obesity (β'=0.192), 2 hours and longer daily indoor physical activity (β'=0.156), exercise intensitby (adequate, β'=0.218; generally, β'=0.151), father's height of 170 cm and shorter (β'=-0.075), mother's height of 160 cm and shorter (β'=-0.081), and parents' educational level (undergraduate, β'=0.017; postgraduate, β'=0.084) as factors affecting physical fitness among children at ages of 3 to 6 years in Chaoyang District.
Conclusions
The body shape development is relatively good among children at ages of 3 to 6 years in Chaoyang District; however, the physical quality remains to be improved. The only child, overweight/obesity, duration of indoor physical activity, exercise intensity, parental height and parental educational level are factors affecting physical fitness among children.

Clinical Medicine of China 2009;25(10):1035-1037
Objective To study the therapeutic effect of pulse-activating injection on acute poisoning by pa-raquat(PQ). Methods 50 Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats were randomly divided into five experimental groups: blank group, negative control group, positive control group, low-dose pulse-activating injection group (LDG), and high-dose pulse-activating injection group(HDG) (n = 10 for each group). Blank group were injected with normal suline,30 ml/kg,and other groups were established as acute paraquat poisoning models. Macroscopic and histopathological ex-aminations were performed and biological indexes were measured for the lung specimens. The indexes included lung wet weight/dry weight, the rats of neutrophils and protein content in the pulmonary alveolar lavage fluid. In the mean time, the level of malondialdehyde (MDA), superoxide dismutase (SOD) and glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) both in plasma and bronchoalveolar lavage flui(BALF) were detected. Results Compared with that in negative control group, lung congestion and lung edema of LDG group were mitigated; and the MDA level decreased from (5.04± 0.50) nmol/ml,(1. 19±0.18) nmol/ml to (4.04±0.21) nmol/ml,(0.79±0.04) nmol/ml both in plasma and BALF;the SOD activities were increased from (123.30±20. 39) U/ml, (26.43±2.22) U/ml to (277.09± 11.66) U/ml,(37.10± 2.49) U/ml as well; the GSH-Px activities were increased from (1796.63 ±81. 12) U/ml, (598.24 ± 62.50) U/ml to (2151.54 ± 148.32) U/ml, ( 1788.44 ± 175.11 ) U/ml as well ( P < 0. 01 ). Conclusions Administration of pulse-activating injection could improve the lipid peroxidation damage caused by a-cute poisoning of PQ.
