1.An argument about 'restraint subsequent to disorders caused by unrestrained excess'
Journal of Medical Postgraduates 2004;0(01):-
The theory of 'restraint subsequent to disorders caused by unrestrained excess' is the essence of the doctrine on yunqi(five successive evolutive phases corresponding to five elements) as well as an important part of the theory of Chinese medicine. It reveals a phenomenon about growth, transformation and restriction that commonly exists in the natural world.Interpromotion and interrestraint of the five elements, opposition and mutual basement of Yinyang, system science, natural phenomena and cultural phenomena are all governed by this theory. This article approaches the theory of 'restraint subsequent to disorders caused by unrestrained excess' from the viewpoint of nature, physiology, pathogenesis, therapeutics and practice, pointing out its significance in the development and clinical modernization of Chinese medicine.

3.Pathogens from 1 151 cases of urine culture and their antibiotic resistance profile
Chinese Journal of Infection and Chemotherapy 2015;(1):38-42
Objective To analyze the pathogens and antibiotic resistance profile in patients with urinary tract infections who were treated from 2011 to 2013 to provide evidence for rational use of antimicrobial agents. Methods SIEMENS MicroScan WalkAway 96 Plus system or API system was used for identification of bacteria and fungi.Antimicrobial susceptibility testing was conducted by disk diffusion method.WHONET 5.6 software was used for data analysis. Results A total of 344 (29.9%) strains of pathogens were detected from 1 151 midstream urine culture specimens,of which 76.5% (263/344)were gram negative bacteria, including E.coli (53.2%,183/344),K.pneumoniae (9.6%,33/344),Proteus (6.1%,21/344),and P . aeruginosa (3.5%,12/344).About 23.5% (81/344)of the isolates were gram-positive bacteria, including Enterococcus faecalis (4.9%,17/344)and coagulase-negative Staphylococcus (4.4%,15/344).ESBLs were produced in 51.9% of the E. coli isolates and 63.6% of the K.pneumoniae isolates.ESBLs-producing strains showed significantly higher resistance rates to cephalosporins, quinolones, tetracyclines, sulfonamides and other antimicrobial agents than non-ESBLs-producing strains (P <0.05).Enterobacteriaceae isolates were highly sensitive to carbapenems (90.5%-100% sensitive).P .aeruginosa strains were relatively sensitive to ciprofloxacin, amikacin and meropenem (83.3%).Gram-positive cocci remained highly sensitive to antimicrobial agents.Regular monitoring and timely analysis of the pathogens of urinary tract infections and their resistance profile are of great importance to rational use of antimicrobial agents.
4.Clinical application of solution focused approach in the functional gastrointestinal disorders
Chinese Journal of Practical Nursing 2009;25(34):8-11
Objective To application of solution focused approach in the functional gastrointestinal disorders. Methods 64 hospitalized clients with functional gastrointestinal disorders were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group with 32 cases in each group. We applied the normal nursing intervention to the control group, while applied the solution focused approach to the observation group. The anxiety and depression score, score of coping way and gastrointestinal symptoms were evaluated using t test. Results The scores of anxiety and depression, coping way and gastrointestinal symptoms were better in the observation group than those in the control group. Conclusions Adoption of solution focused approach can relieve FGID sufferers'negative emotion, such as anxiety and depression, increase sufferers' coping capacity and symptoms, which demonstrate pivotal significance for rehabilitation of functional gastrointestinal disorders.
5.Roles of integrin and vascular endothelial growth factor in angiogenesis
Journal of Medical Postgraduates 2003;0(08):-
Integrin is a main factor that mediates adhesive attraction between the cell and the extracellular matrix, and it participates in the formation of new vessel lumens and the construction of the rete vasculosum by regulating endothelial cell adhesion and migration. The extracellular matrix is the ligand of integrin.Collagen and laminin's deposition form new vessel lumens. The vascular endothelial growth factor promotes the proliferation of endothelial cells, accelerates angiogenesis and increases the permeability of blood vessels. This review focuses on the roles and correlation of integrin and VEGF in angiogenesis.
6.Determination of bone mineral density in the lateral lumbar vertebra by Prodigy dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry in two ways
Journal of Medical Postgraduates 2003;0(11):-
Objective:To investigate the consistency of two methods in the measurement of bone mineral density in the lateral lumbar vertebra. Methods:The bone mineral densities of the 2nd,3rd and 4th lumbar vertebras in 18 female patients,at a preset side lying position, were measured respectively by two methods(lateral spine analysis,LS and lateral vertebral analysis,LVA) provided by the dual-energy(X-ray) absorptiometry(GE Lunar,Prodigy). The results were recorded and analyzed by SPSS(Version(10.0).) The values of bone mineral density were displayed by boxplot, paired and analyzed by(Wilcoxon's) signed rank test and(Pearson's) correlation analysis.Statistical significance was considered when P(0.05),) and were clearly correlated(P
7.Application of ?-adrenergic blocker during perioperational period to patients receiving PCI therapy
Chinese Journal of Practical Internal Medicine 2001;0(10):-
Objective To evaluate the protective effect of prior ?-adrenergic blocker therapy to patients who have PCI therapy. Methods We analyzed 210 consecutive patients undergoing ?-adrenergic blocker,of whom 105 did ?-adrenergic blocker therapy,105 had not.CK-MB、E、NE were tested before PCI,and 6~8 h,16~24 h after PCI.Procedural complications in hospital and 1-year outside outcomes were evaluated. Results (1)There was no significant difference between the two groups on CK-MB、E、NE.(2)Both the in-hospital(2.1% vs 4.1%)and one year (5.5% vs 7.1%)mortality was lower in ?-group than in no-? group. Conclusion Prior ?-adrenergic blocker therapy can reduce the incidence of cardic events.
8.HISTOPATHOLOGICAL STUDY OF PERFORATING EYE INJURIES
Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 1981;0(06):-
Based on the histopathological observation of the perforated eyes in 74 cases, it is suggested that, according to the severity of the trauma, perforating eye injuries may be classified into 3 degrees. Those having enucleation done within 1 week after injury were all severe cases; none of them developed sympathetic ophthalmia. The eyes with less and moderate degree of injuries were enucleated mainly duo to secondary complications. Among the eyeballs examinedlater than 2 weeks after injury, intraocular fibropla-sia was found in 49 cases (92%), ciliary membranes in 34 cases (64%), epiretinal membranes in 23 cases (43%), and retinal detachment in 47 cases (89%). Contractive tissues were found in 19 cases with retinal detachment. Cellular proliferation was originated from the wound as well as the intraocular cell elements such as the ciliary epithelium. The following factors might stimulate the proliferation, e.g. incarceration of tissue in the wound, failing of the epithelium to cover the inner surface of the wound, inflammation and intraocular hemorrhage. Therefore, it is important to close the wound as early as possible and to remove blood and inflamed tissue with vitrectomy within 2 weeks after injury.
9.EFFECTS OF INFLAMMATION ON PROGNOSIS FOLLOWING VITRECTOMY
Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 1983;0(02):-
Vitrectomy is helpful in the management of ocular trauma, but prolonged inflammation following vitrec tomy may be associated with a high incidence of traction retinal detachment. To test this hypothesis! ma-crophages.the main cellular component of vitreous inflammation, were injected into the vitreous cavity of rabbit eyes following vitrectorny. Fibrovascular proliferation over the medullary rays and optic disc and traction retinal detachment occurred in 13 of 15 vitrectomized eyes injected with macrophages, while in only three of 15 vitrectomized eyes injected with culture medium (controls). These results demonstrate that macrophages are capable of stimulating intraocular cellular proliferation. It is therefore suggested that anti-inflammation drugs and minimization of surgical intervention may improve the prognosis following vitrectomy.
10.Efficacy of two anti-VEGF drugs for age-related macular degeneration
International Eye Science 2016;16(8):1501-1503
? AIM: To evaluate efficacy of Ranibizumab and Conbercept for wet age-related macular degeneration ( wAMD) .?METHODS: This was a retrospective case series study. Thirty patients ( 30 eyes ) with wAMD were enrolled to receive intravitreal injections of ranibizumab (0.5mg) on 3 consecutive monthly schedule and 28 patients (30 eyes) with wAMD were enrolled to receive intravitreal injections of conbercept ( 0.5mg ) on 3 consecutive monthly schedule.Best corrected visual acuity ( BCVA ), optic coherence tomography ( OCT ) measurement were compared at 1mo after injections.?RESULTS: One month after every injection, the BCVA increased while the central macular thickness ( CMT ) decreased compared with those before treatment in group A and B (P<0.05).BCVA and CMT changes between two groups were no statistically different (P>0.05).?CONCLUSION:Ranibizumab and conbercept therapy can control the prognosis of wAMD and improve the vision effectively. There is no statistical difference on the curative effect between two drugs for 3mo.
