ObjectiveTo investigate the effect of subtotal gastrectomy on glucose metabolism in patients with gastric disease combined with diabetes mellitus.MethodsThe clinical data of 126 cases with gastric disease combined with diabetes mellitus receiving subtotal gastrectomy were analyzed retrospectively, including subtotal gastrectomy Billroth Ⅱ type 69 patients (Billroth Ⅱ type group),subtotal gastrectomy Billroth Ⅰ type 57 patients(Billroth Ⅰ type group). The fasting blood glucose, postprandial blood glucose before surgery and 1,3,6 months after surgery and the improvement of glucose metabolism were compared.ResultsThere was no significant difference in the fasting blood glucose, postprandial blood glucose before surgery and 1,3,6 months after surgery in Billroth Ⅰ type group (P >0.05).The fasting blood glucose, postprandial blood glucose 3,6 months after surgery [ (10.7 ±2.9 ),(10.4 ± 2.3 ) mmol/L and (12.4 ± 2.6),(12.0 ±3.2) mmol/L] were higher than those before surgery and 1 month after surgery [(14.1 ±3.2),(13.4 ±3.8) mmol/L and(19.0 ±3.9),(18.1 ±4.3) mmol/L] in Billroth Ⅱ type group with significant differences (P < 0.05 or < 0.01 ).The improving rate of glucose metabolism in Billroth Ⅰ type group [ 7.02%(4/57) ] was lower than that in Billroth Ⅱ type group [ 92.75%(64/69)] with significant difference(P < 0.01 ).ConclusionsSubtotal gastrectomy has obvious effect on improving glucose metabolism in patients with gastric disease combined with diabetes mellitus. The use of subtotal gastrectomy Billroth Ⅱ type is prior to subtotal gastrectomy Billroth Ⅰ type.
3.Serum microRNA:a new class of biomarkers and targets of therapy
International Journal of Pediatrics 2012;39(1):46-49
MicroRNA (miRNA) are a class of small,non-coding,measuring 21-25 nucleotides in length RNA,which regulates protein levels post-transcriptionally through binding to 3'-untranslated region of target mRNA.miRNA involves in many physiological and pathological processes.Studies demonstrate that miRNA presents not only intracellular, but also in circulation and body fluids,e.g.urine,tear,ascetic fluid, and amniotic fluid, and these miRNA have become a novel biomarker and potential target of treatment, especially the serum miRNA.This review summarizes the recent advances of serum miRNA.
4.Thinking about the sustainable development of hospital construction in China
Chinese Journal of Hospital Administration 2011;27(10):728-730
The paper analyses the present situation and comes to the conclusion that the total and scale of hospital is growing faster, construction investment is big, hospital comprehensive service increase apparently. But in fast development process, there exist some problems:Such as lack of planning guidance and foresight, building lack of high intelligence, conservation and environmental protection without strong consciousness, and investment in a single channel, etc. The author pointed out that the hospital building must correctly handle with problems including the reality and advanced, systematic and progressive, security and privacy, advanced and economic.etc.The author suggests that the hospital construction planning should be improved and perfect, fully embody the thoughts of human-oriented,pay more attention to energy conservation and environmental protection technology applications, improve hospital intelligence, and strengthen government support so as to make the hospital construction and development on a sustainable way.
5.Reason and rapid rehabilitation of exercise injury in ankle joint
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2009;13(28):5567-5570
Ankle Joint is an important joint for human weight loading, and its stability plays a crucial role on the maintenance of loading and exercise function. Ankle injury is the most common kind of exercise induced injury, it takes the first place in the joint ligament injury, improper management of the injury may lead to some complications such as traumatic arthritis. This study aims to comprehensively analyze the mechanism underlying ankle joint injury during exercise from the view points of modem exercise medicine, and to give a detail description of the effective functional recovery following injury.
6.Golden section, the optimization of environmental factors for human body
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2006;10(45):227-228
OBJECTIVE: Human body is closed in environmental physical factors.Using golden section, this study aims to find out the best condition of environmental physical factors acting on human body.METHODS: There are a lot of phenomena which have relation with golden section, for example, the environmental temperature, humidity, light frequency, sound intensity, atmospheric pressure, oxygen content, etc. Are in step with human sensation. RESULTS: ① Harmony between environmental temperature and human body: Room temperature was maintained at 22-24 ℃, which was the golden temperature of human body (37 ℃). At this time, human felt the most comfortable. ② Harmony between humidity and human body: When humidity ranged from 60% to 69% which contained the golden humidity of 61.8%, human did not feel both dryness and wetness. ③ Harmony between light frequency and human body: Visible light with the wave length of 5.3×10-5 cm exactly stood at the golden point and was located in the area between yellow and green, I.e. Kelly light. Eyes of human had various sensitivities to each part of visible light. The further the wave-length away from kelly light, the poorer the sensitivity was; therefore, photosensitivity of kelly light was the most obvious, and human felt comfortable at the same time. ④ Harmony between sound intensity and human body: Golden value from auditory threshold (0 dB) to pain threshold (120 dB) was 45.84 dB and 74.16 dB, respectively, which was located at normal area (40-60 dB),loudness area (60-80 dB) and region of musical sound. Musical sound had a great effect on cardiovascular system, digestive system, gland excretionand thinking activities. ⑤ Harmony between atmospheric pressure and human body: If oxygen content was near to golden value, human felt suitable;otherwise, human would have hypoxia, irritancy, nausea and emesis.CONCLUSION: The best condition of environmental physical factors is optional. If the indexes, such as environmental temperature, humidity, light frequency, sound intensity, atmospheric pressure and oxygen content, are near to golden value, they will be harmonious with human body.
7.Correlation between Helicobacter pylori infection in oral cavity and Helicobacter pylori infection in stomach in children
International Journal of Pediatrics 2013;(3):264-267
Helicobacter Pylori (Hp) is closely related to gastrointestinal diseases. Some scholars have proposed that Hp resides in the oral cavity and oral Hp is related to stomach Hp.The oral cavity has been implicated as a potential Hp reservoir and therefore may be involved in the reinfection or replapse of the stomach Hp after treatment of Hp infection.
8.The progress on genes associated with early puberty
International Journal of Pediatrics 2014;41(1):48-50
Puberty onset is triggered by re-emergence of the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal axis (HPGA),which is characterized by the significantly increasing amplitude and frequency of gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) secretion in human being.A series of studies found that many genes control puberty onset, including KISS1 and GPR54 gene, estrogen receptor (ESR) gene, energy balance-related genes,LIN28B gene,MKRN3 gene and so on.Studies have been confirmed that the mutation and single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP) of the genes above are associated with early puberty. In this paper, the relationship between genetic alterations of these genes and early puberty are summarized as follows.-
9.Assessment of the social disability of elderly patients with urinary incontinence
Chinese Journal of Practical Nursing 2009;25(8):56-58
Objective This study is to conduct an overall assessment of social function of elderly pa-tients with urinary incontinence (UI) and the factors that affect the social function exactly. Thus, some nurs-ing intervention can be put forward for the patients. Methods The investigation was carried out with inter-national consultation on incontinence questionnaire short form (ICI-Q-SF), incontinence quality-of-life scale (I-QOL) and social disability screening schedule (SDSS). Results The mean score of SDSS of patients was 4.0, this score was between patients with neurosis and patients with mental illness. The number of elderly pa-tients with UI investigated in this research who had social disability was 90. The incidence of social disability was 81.82%. Age and UI were the main factors affecting the social function of elderly patients with UI. There was significant correlation between social function and quality of life, the more serious of social disability, the poor of life quality. Conclusions Significant social disability exists in the investigated elderly patients with urinary incontinence. Some effective nursing interventions must be taken to improve the situation and increase their survival quality.
