Objective To investigate the change of insulin-like growth factor Ⅱ(IGF-Ⅱ) and its relation with infection in severely burned patients. Methods RIA method was used to determine the serum IGF-Ⅱ level in patients with severe burn. Results Compared with control group, the level of IGF-Ⅱ was increased significantly at 5 postburn days , and persistent 35 days (P0 05).Conclusion IGF-Ⅱ is involved in the pathogenesis of burn , and closely correlated with the infection after burn.

Journal of Cellular and Molecular Immunology 2001;17(4):389-391
Aim To investigate the influence of oxygen-free radical to erythrocyte immune adherent function after severe burns. Methods The erythrocyte's immune adherent function (RC3bRR and RICR) and the levels of SOD, Lpo-MDA, CAT, GSH-px and GSH were detected on 1, 3, 5, 7, 14, 21, 28 and 35 days after severe burns, and then their correlations were analyzed. Results The rosette forming rate of erythrocyte C3b receptor (RC3bRR) in post-burn group was obviously lower than that in normal control group (P< 0.05~ 0.001), and erythrocyte immune complex rosette forming rate (RICR) of the burned patients was obviously higher than that of the healthy group(P< 0.001), but they gradually returned to normal four weeks after burn. Compared with healthy control group, the levels of SOD, CAT, GSH-px and GSH markedly declined(P< 0.05~ 0.001), while Lpo-MDA level notably increased(P< 0.05~ 0.001), but their recovery needed at least three weeks. RC3bRR was positively correlated with the levels of SOD, CAT, GSH-px and GSH, and was negatively correlated with Lpo-MDA. Correlation of RICR was contrary to that of RC3bRR. Conclusion The degree of the free radical injury may directly influence the erythrocyte membrane function, especially the erythrocyte immune adherent. It is necessary to reducing the production of free radicals and enhacing patient's erythrocyte immune function during burn treatment.

Objective To investigate the efficacy and tolerability of dose-dense chemotherapy with cisplatin plus 5-fluorouracil( PF regimen)in distant metastatic nasopharyngeal carcinoma( NPC)patients. Methods From April 1,2008 to April 30,2014,168 patients were assigned to traditional group(n = 83) and dose-dense group(n = 85)using digital random table in 1 : 1 ratio. All patients received PF regimen,and once every 28 days in traditional group and once every 14 days in dose-dense group. The primary endpoint was progression-free survival(PFS)and the secondary endpoint was overall survival(OS),toxicity and response rate. Results The median PFS,median OS,1,2,3-year survival rate,complete response rate and objective response rate were significantly improved in dose-dense group which were 13. 3 months,20. 2 months,80. 2% , 36. 0% ,16. 1% ,16. 5% ,84. 7% ,and those in control group were 10. 0 months,16. 1 months,59. 6% , 10. 1% ,0,3. 6% ,54. 2% respectively(χ2 = 24. 47,P = 0. 000;χ2 = 16. 65,P = 0. 000;χ2 = 8. 41,P =0. 004;χ2 = 16. 96,P = 0. 000;χ2 = 14. 91,P = 0. 000;χ2 = 7. 63,P = 0. 006;χ2 = 18. 47,P = 0. 000). The rates of grade 3-4 adverse events in dose-dense and traditional group were 38. 8% and 6. 0%(χ2 = 25. 81, P = 0. 000). Conclusion Dose-dense chemotherapy of PF is more efficient and acceptable toxic than the tra-ditional one. It can be a new treatment option for patients with distant metastases of NPC.
7. Morphology of A1 segment of anterior cerebral artery and anterior communicating artery aneurysms
International Journal of Cerebrovascular Diseases 2019;27(11):877-880
Anterior communicating artery aneurysms (ACoAA) accounts for about 30% of all intracranial aneurysms, and their occurrence and morphology are closely related to A1 segment of anterior cerebral artery. The dominant blood supply of A1 segment of unilateral anterior cerebral artery and the angle between A1 segment and A2 segment are important factors for the formation and development of ACoAA. The aneurysmal orientation of ACoAA is closely related to the morphological features of the A1 segment of the dominant anterior cerebral artery. The morphology of the A1 segment of anterior cerebral artery has an important effect on treatment and outcome of ACoAA.

Aim To study of the expression and distribution of four α-synuclein truncations in three cells.Method Four α-synuclein gene truncations were obtained by PCR method, followed by subcloning into the pEGFP-N1 eukaryotic expression vector.Four obtained recombination plasmids were transfected into MN9D cells,PC12 cells and SH-SY5Y cells using Lipofectamine 2000 respectively. The expression and distribution of four α-synuclein truncations were observed by Confocal. Results Distribution of four α-synuclein truncations was discrepant obviously, the truncations, with more C terminal remained, were prone to emerging in nuclei. Conclusion Localization of α-synuclein protein in cells may be related to the C terminal, and the whole C terminal plays an important role in distribution of α-synuclein into nuclei.

Aim To iuvestigate the effect and the mechanism of salmonmilt DNA (SMD) on age-related involutions in mouse thymus. MethodsFemale BALB/c of 10 months were divided randomly into three groupsaccording to their weights: high dosage group 333.33 mg/(kg @ d), lowdosage group 166. 67 mg/(kg @ d) and control group 0 mg/(kg @ d) .After five weeks, with Image-Pro Plus (version. 4.0) software, the thymusindexes and the thymoctytes in the thymus section were measured, as wellas the thymus cortex thickness. All the data were analyzed by SAS statisticsoftware. Mieroarray technique was applied to screen the gene fragments, which were differently expressed between the high dosage group and thecontrol group, together with RT-PCR to further confirm some of them. Results No significant differences of the variables including bodyweight, thymus weight and thymus indexes among the three groups werefound (F < 3.0 and P > 0.05, respectively). The thymocytes quanti-ties of thymus cortex and medulla in the high dosage group were significantlyhigher than those of the control group [cortex D(H, C) = 9.46, P < 0.01;medulla t( H.C) = 2.53, P < 0.05]. The thymus cortex thicknesses of bothSMD supplement groups were significantly higher than that of the control group[cortex D(L,C)=3.65, P> 0.05; medulla t(L, C)=0.8, P> 0.05] .112differently expressed gene fragments were isolated. Furthermore, we foundthe fragments with the logged number of U23789, X80232 and Aw209102were highly expressed in the high dosage group when RT-PCR techniquewas used. Conclusion SMD may reverse the age-related involutions inmouse thymus via up-regulation the expression of proliferation related genesand development and differentiation related genes simultaneously.
