1.The effect of sports training on endothelin-1 and endothelin-1 receptor and its subtypes in the myocardium
Chinese Journal of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation 2003;0(11):-
Objective To explore the effects of sports training on endothelin-1 ( ET-1 ) and endothelin-1 receptor (ETR) and its subtypes in the myocardium in rats. Methods After sports training, levels of endothelin-1 were measured using radioimmunoassay, and changes in ETAR and ETBR levels by radioligand binding assay. Results The endothelin-1 level in myocardial cells was significantly reduced ( P

Chinese Journal of Medical Aesthetics and Cosmetology 2014;20(2):85-87
Objective To evaluate the the brow position and shape in young Chinese women using a photography measurement. Methods A total of 100 Chinese women aged 20 to 30 years were photographed to determine the distance between brow and eye.Measurements were made from a horizontal plane through the lateral canthus of right eye to three vertical points on the upper brow margin at the medial canthus, lateral limbus of the iris, and lateral canthus. Results The distance between brow and eye in young Chinese women was 2.12,2.52 and 2.46 cm at medial canthus, lateral limbus of the iris and lateral canthus, respectively. The distances were higher between the brows and eyes at lateral limbus of the iris and lateral canthus than that at medial canthus (P<0.05).Conclusions The measurement used in this study is a simple and practical quantitative method. The results can be used to guide the surgical choice and help to evaluate the surgical techniques.

Hepatic eosinophilic granuloma (HEG) is a rare benign liver disease, which belongs to histocytosis.Preoperative diagnosis of HEG was difficult because its clinical manifestation was not characteristic. In this article, the clinical data of 1 patient with HEG who was treated at the Jinhua Municipal Central Hospital of Zhejiang Province in September 2012 were retrospectively analyzed, and the diagnosis, differential diagnosis and treatment for HEG were investigated.

Objective To confirm the safety and nutritional efficacy of high branched-chain amino acids through a pragmatic study allowing its use as an alternative to 15AA in patients with liver dysfunction. Methods The study was performed as a randomized, prospective trial. Eighty two patients with liver dysfunction undergoing operation were randomly assigned to receive high branchedchain amino acids or 15AA as part of their TPN regimens for 7 days. Daily parenteral intakes of energy nitrogen and lipid were equal in the two groups. Results Efficacy analysis showed that high branched-chain amino acids were as efficient as 15AA in avoiding protein catablosim. No serious adverse event was reported in the two groups. For hematology, renal, hepatic safety criteria and for the vital signs,no significant difference was observed between the 2 groups. No significant difference was observed concerning nitrogen balance and protein catablosim. For peripheral immunoglobulin and lymphocytes, a statistically significant difference was observed between the high branched-chain amino acids and the 15AA groups. Conclusion High branched-chain amino acids is new, safe and efficient amino acids for parenteral nutrition.

Objective To study the value of MR three-dimensional volumetric interpolated breath-hold examination(3D-VIBE)and conventional MR imaging (including MRCP) in diagnosing cholangiocarcinoma early and evaluating the respectability of cholangiocarcinoma. Methods 20 patients with malignant obstruction of bile duct were scaned by conventional MR imaging(including MRCP) and dynamic-enhanced 3D-VIBE triple-phase acquisitions. MR imaging features of the tumors were analysed and the re-spectability of cholangiocarcinoma was also evaluated. The differences between conventional MR imaging and 3D-VIBE in displaying the tumors and the infiltration extent of the tumors were compared. Results The sensitivity ratio in showing the tumors were 85 and 95% with conventional MR imaging and 3D-VIBE, respectively, and there was statistically significant difference between two sequences in displaying infiltration of adjacent organs by the tumors(P<0.05). Conclusion 3D-VIBE is superior to conventional MR imaging in the early diagnosis, preoperative assessment of the infiltration extent and the tumor respectability of cholangiocarcino-ma.

Chinese Medical Equipment Journal 2003;0(11):-
Objective To evaluate the multi-slice spiral CT scan of liver dynamic dual-phase three-dimensional vascular imaging portal phase clinical value. Methods 80 cases in clinic, who were patients with liver function and imaging diagno- sis of liver and portal hypertension in liver cirrhosis, and 20 cases of healthy persons were carried out multi-slice spiral CT dual-phase scanning. The workstation used volume rendering techniques (VR) and maximum density multi-planar recon- struction technique for reconstruction. Results The hepatic arterial phase VR image and MIP MPR images can clearly show the celiac trunk, splenic artery, hepatic artery or artery and its branches, including 2-3 grade tumor blood supply variation of blood vessels and blood vessels, the portal venous phase, VR images and MIP MPR images clearly show the 1-6 level structure and the portal vein and hepatic vein branches of 1-3, with strong three-dimensional sense of space. Conclusion The multi-slice spiral CT three-dimensional reconstruction of portal vein imaging is a fast and effective non-invasive an- giography techniques, contributing to the clinical choice of reasonable efficacy of treatment programs and follow-up.
