1.Induction of mice spleen suppressor cell activity by Trypterygium Wilfordii Hook f
Chinese Journal of Pathophysiology 1986;0(02):-
We have studied the induction of mice spleen suppressor cell activity by Trypterygium Wilfordii Hook f. both in vivo and in vitro. We detected the suppressor cell activity in mice which were administrated with the drug for different days & found that after giving the drug for 5 or 9 days, the suppressor cell activity elevated remarkly, but for 12 & 15 days, the suppressor cell activity varied indefinitely, some were higher & some were lower. The drug inhibited the response of spleen cell to Con A too. But the release of inhibition on Con A responsibility was earlier than the recovery of elevated suppressor cell activity. Cocultured with the drug, slight promotion on cell proliferation was observed. The normal spleen cells cocultured with the drug for two days suppressed the normal spleen cell proliferation stimulated by Con A, the suppressive rate was comparable to that of Con A induced suppressor celll.

7.Expression of adiponectin in the periodontal tissue of Kunming mice with diabetic periodontitis
Chinese Journal of Tissue Engineering Research 2015;(5):721-726
BACKGROUND:Adiponectin and periodontal disease are closely related with type 2 diabetes. OBJECTIVE:To detect the expression of adiponectin in periodontal tissue of Kunming mice of diabetes periodontitis, and explore the effects on periodontal tissue pathology and prognosis. METHODS:Sixty 3-week-old Kunming mice were divided into three groups according to the different modeling methods:control group (normal feeding), diabetes group (diabetic model was established by injection of al oxan), diabetes and periodontitis group (periodontitis model was established by local ligation and bacteria developed). Each group contained 20 rats. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:At 20 days after modeling, the blood glucose, fasting insulin and insulin resistance index of mice in the diabetes group were higher than that in the control group (P<0.05). ELISA, RT-PCR and western blot analysis results showed that, adiponectin gene and protein expression levels in periodontal tissues were the highest in the control group, then in the diabetes group, and the lowest in the diabetes and periodontitis group, at 1, 3, 6, months postoperatively, respectively (P<0.05). The periodontal gum tissue inflammation and histopathological changes were observed at 1, 3, 6, months postoperatively. The results showed that, the inflammation in periodontal tissues was the most obvious in the diabetes and periodontitis group, and was visible in the diabetes group, but the inflammation was not present in the control group. Experimental findings indicate that, the down-regulation of adiponectin expression in the periodontal tissue is one of the important factors that trigger and aggravate the onset of periodontitis.
8.Asymmetric dimethylarginine and diabetes with cerebrovascular diseases
International Journal of Cerebrovascular Diseases 2010;18(6):450-455
Nitric oxide (NO) is the most important known endogenous vasodilator factor. The competitive inhibitor asymmetric dimethylarginine (ADMA) of endothelial nitric oxide synthase (NOS) inhibits NO synthesis, which makes NO/NOS pathway to be obstructed and the reduction of NO synthesis. The studies in recent years have suggested that ADMA is as-sociated with the occurrence and development of diabetes with cerebrovascular disease. It has provided new insights into further clarifying the mechanism of the disease.

Chinese Journal of Biochemical Pharmaceutics 2017;37(9):284-285
Objective To evaluate the clinical efficacy of cefotaxime combined with gamma globulin on neonatal septicemia. Methods The subjects of this study were selected from 88 cases of neonatal septicemia admitted in Jiangyou No.903 hospital from April 2014 to April 2017. They were randomly divided into two groups, each with 44 cases. The control group was given symptomatic treatment and cefotaxime, while the observation group symptomatic treatment, cefotaxime and gamma globulin as well. After 7days of treatment, the overall effective rates, case fatality rates, clinical symptoms (body temperature, resistance to milk, neurological symptoms), time for improvement and hospital stay were compared between the two groups. Results The overall effective rate of the observation group was 95.45%, much higher than 72.73% of the control group (P<0.01). The observation group had much lower case fatality rate than the control group did (2.27% vs 18.19%) (P<0.05). The time the observation group took for improvement in the condition of body temperature, resistance to milk, neurological symptoms, and hospital stay was (3.25±1.07) days, (4.93±1.96) days, (5.92±1.58) days, and (6.80±1.94) days respectively, all significantly shorter than the time the control group took (P<0.01). Conclusion The combination of cefotaxime and gamma globulin is effective in the treatment of neonatal septicemia. It can significantly reduce case fatality rate and shorten the time for clinical symptoms and hospital stay.
