Objective To explore the level and its clinical significance of microRNA-21 (miR-21) in cerebrospinal fluid of glioma patients. Methods The level of miR-21 in cerebrospinal fluid were measured by real-time RT-PCR in 40 patients with glioma (glioma group) and 40 normal controls(control group). The relationship between miR-21 and pathological grade were analyzed. Results The level of miR-21 in glioma group was significantly higher than that in control group (0.70 + 0.12 vs.0.43 + 0.09,t =11.3840,P < 0.01).The level of miR-21 in glioma group with Ⅱ,Ⅲ and Ⅳ pathological grade was 0.66 +0.11,0.71 + 0.12,0.74 ± 0.13,there was no significant difference (F =1.5083,P =0.2345).Conclusions The level of miR-21 in cerebrospinal fluid of glioma patients elevates significantly. It may participate in the occurrence and development of glioma.

Objective To examine the prevalence ofHelicobacter pylori in Shanghai and relevant risk factors, evaluate the resistance proifle ofH. pylori isolates to antibiotics used in ifrst-line therapy in two hospitals in Shanghai.MethodsH. pylori were isolated from the biopsy samples of gastric mucosa collected from September 2013 to January 2015. Antimicrobial susceptibility test was performed by E-test method for 131H. pylori strains to 4 antibiotics, clarithromycin, metronidazole, amoxicillin and tetracycline. Results A total of 955 patients receiving gastroscopy were enrolled. And 248 (26.0%)H. pylori strains were isolated from the biopsy samples of gastric mucosa. Overall, 14.5%, 64.1%, 0 and 0.8% of the strains were resistant to clarithromycin, metronidazole, amoxicillin and tetracycline, respectively. Resistance to two drugs was found in 10.7%(14/131) of the strains, and majority (92.8%, 13/14) of which were resistant to clarithromycin and metronidazole. Conclusions The prevalence ofH. pylori in gastric mucosa is rather lower compared with the data reported previously. It is associated with the sex, age and clinical outcome of patients, however, antibiotic resistance profile is not related to these factors.H. pylori eradication therapy should be individualized according to the results of susceptibility test in Shanghai.

Objective:To explore the effectiveness of situational simulation teaching in the clinical clerkship education of endodontics. Methods:Stomatology students from Batch 2015 of Xinjiang Medical University were selected and randomly divided into two groups, experimental group ( n=28), taking situational simulation teaching and control group ( n=27), taking traditional teaching. The SEGUE scale was used to evaluate the effectiveness of the teaching methods. SPSS 21.0 software was used for independent samples t-test. Results:The theoretical results of the experimental group [(91.31±3.37) points] were higher than those of the control group [(87.93±4.28) points], with significant differences ( P < 0.05). According to the scores of SEGUE scale, the communication ability scores before and after teaching in the experimental group were (9.07±3.37) points and (21.86±2.47) points, respectively, and the difference was statistically significant ( P < 0.05); the control group were (8.85±3.43) points and (15.67±2.87) points, respectively; the teaching effect of the experimental group was significantly better than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant ( P < 0.05). Conclusion:The application of situational simulation teaching can effectively improve doctor-patient communication skills of medical students, thereby promoting the combination of theory and practice, and has a positive impact on improving students' clinical practice communication skills in the future.

OBJECTIVETo improve the occupational health management levels in electroplating enterprises with quantitative classification measures and to provide a scientific basis for the prevention and control of occupational hazards in electroplating enterprises and the protection of workers' health.
METHODSA quantitative classification table was created for the occupational health management in electroplating enterprises. The evaluation indicators included 6 items and 27 sub-items, with a total score of 100 points. Forty electroplating enterprises were selected and scored according to the quantitative classification table. These electroplating enterprises were classified into grades A, B, and C based on the scores.
RESULTSAmong 40 electroplating enterprises, 11 (27.5%) had scores of >85 points (grade A), 23 (57.5%) had scores of 60∼85 points (grade B), and 6 (15.0%) had scores of <60 points (grade C).
CONCLUSIONQuantitative classification management for electroplating enterprises is a valuable attempt, which is helpful for the supervision and management by the health department and provides an effective method for the self-management of enterprises.

Pharmaceutical analysis is a discipline based on chemical, physical, biological, and information technologies. At present, biotechnological analysis is a short branch in pharmaceutical analysis; however, bioanalysis is the basis and an important part of medicine. Biotechnological approaches can provide information on biological activity and even clinical efficacy and safety, which are important characteristics of drug quality. Because of their advantages in reflecting the overall biological effects or functions of drugs and providing visual and intuitive results, some biotechnological analysis methods have been gradually applied to pharmaceutical analysis from raw material to manufacturing and final product analysis, including DNA super-barcoding, DNA-based rapid detection, multiplex ligation-dependent probe amplification, hyperspectral imaging combined with artificial intelligence, 3D biologically printed organoids, omics-based artificial intelligence, microfluidic chips, organ-on-a-chip, signal transduction pathway-related reporter gene assays, and the zebrafish thrombosis model. The applications of these emerging biotechniques in pharmaceutical analysis have been discussed in this review.
