Objective To study the effects of hyperbaric oxygen on the diastolic heart failure in hypertensive patients. Methods 60 hypertensive patients with diastolic heart failure were randomly divided into treatment group and control group. Conventional therapies were given to patients of both groups. In addition, hyperbaric oxygen therapy was applied to those of treatment group. After 3 months, Doppler ultrasound recordings were obtained from all patients to determine the left ventricular diastolic function. Results The indexes of left ventricular diastolic function were im-proved after treatment in both groups(P < 0.01) ,and treatment group was better than control group(P < 0. 05). Conclusion For hypertensive patients with diastolic heart failure, hyperbaric oxygen can improve heart diastolic function.

Objective To study hyperbaric oxygen on left ventricular ejection fraction preserved by the influence of left ventricular remodeling in patients with heart failure. Methods A total of 110 patients with heart failure and normal ejection fraction were randomly allocated into the control group (n=55) and the HBO group (n=55). The control group were given the routine therapy, the HBO group were treated with hyperbaric oxygen on the basis of conventional drug. The application of color doppler ultrasound before and after treatment for 3 months left ventricular structure indicators. Results Left ventricular structure indicators were significantly decreased (LVDd、IVSD、LVPWD、LVMI)(P<0.01). Compared with the control group the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Follow-up of 3 months, The treatment group composite cardiovascular events was fewer than the control group and had significant difference (P<0.05). Conclusion Hyperbaric oxygen therapy can significantly improve left ventricular ejection fraction preserved by heart failure of left ventricular diastolic and systolic function and reverse left ventricular remodeling,And can reduce the happening of cardiovascular events.

Chinese Journal of Experimental Ophthalmology 2023;41(4):357-365
Objective:To systematically evaluate the effect of repeated low-level red light (RLRL) therapy on controlling the progression of myopia in children. Methods:Medline, Embase, Cochrane Library, Web of Science, ClinicalTrial.gov and the CNKI, VIP, Wanfang database, and Chinese Clinical Trial Registry (www.chictr.org.cn) were searched from their establishment to September 2022 to obtain the randomized controlled trial (RCT) about RLRL controlling myopia progression in children.Grey literature was also searched.Inclusion and exclusion criteria were developed according to the PICOS principle. Two researchers screened the literature independently, extracted data, and assessed the risk of bias in the included studies using the Cochrane collaboration tool for assessing risk of bias. The data were imported into RevMan 5.4 software for meta-analysis.Mean and standard deviation of data were used to obtain mean differences and 95% confidence intervals of included studies.Changes in spherical equivalent (SE) and axial length (AL) were compared between before and after the intervention in RLRL and single-vision spectacle (experimental group) and single-vision spectacle (control group). The GRADE system was used to grade the quality of evidence for the outcome indicators. Results:A total of 157 studies were obtained. After the screening, 7 RCT studies including 1 038 study subjects met the inclusion criteria.Meta-analysis results showed that retarded SE progression was retarded and AL elongation was reduced significantly after different follow-up durations (1, 3, 6, 12 and 24 months) in experimental group compared with control group. As the follow-up duration extended from 1 month to 24 months, the retard of SE progression increased from 0.14 to 0.93 D, and the reduction of AL increased from 0.07 to 0.48 mm.Both 635 and 650 nm red light significantly retarded SE progression and reduced AL elongation. The two outcome indicators, SE change and AL change were moderate-strength evidence by GRADE.Conclusions:The current moderate-strength evidence shows that RLRL can better retard myopia progression in children than single-vision spectacle glasses.

Chinese Journal of School Health 2023;44(6):850-853
Objective:
To investigate the current situation and associated factors of computer vision syndrome (CVS) among college freshmen in Tianjin during the COVID-19 epidemic, and to provide a reference for visual comfort of college students.
Methods:
A total of 868 college freshmen from one university in Tianjin were administered with CVS qualitative analysis questionnaire, eye health status questionnaire and eye health examination during Oct to Dec 2021. Chi square test and multivariate Logistic regression were used for data analysis.
Results:
The detection rate of CVS among the included students was 68.5% ( n =595) and was higher in females (72.2%) than in males (61.7%). The CVS detection rate in girls, students without myopia, >30 min sleep onset, >1 h mobile phone usage, and ≤8 h sleep duration (72.2%, 70.4%, 81.1%, 72.7%, 71.2%) were significantly higher than boys, students with low grade myopia, sleep onset required ≤30 min, use mobile phone for ≤1 h, and sleep duration >8 h(61.7%, 63.3 %, 67.4%, 65.9%, 61.1%) ( χ 2=10.08, 3.94, 5.89, 4.40, 7.94, P <0.05). Differences in CVS detection rates varied significantly by daily electronic device usage and academic stress students ( χ 2=22.03, 21.24, P <0.05). Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that daily use of electronic devices 4-6, 7-9, ≥10 h, sleep onset required >30 min, moderate to higher academic pressure were positively associated with CVS ( OR=1.95, 2.94, 2.30, 2.39, 3.51, 4.41, P <0.05), boys, low grade myopia, night sleep time >8 h were negatively associated with CVS ( OR=0.65, 0.70, 0.65, P <0.05).
Conclusion
The detection rate of CVS among freshmen in a university in Tianjing is high. Attention should be paid to the CVS situation of students with e learning, and general public should also be educated to reduce the time of unnecessary electronic product use and ensure night sleep to reduce the prevalence of CVS.
