Chinese Acupuncture & Moxibustion 2014;34(11):1135-1140
In order to understand the research status of HUANG Fu-mi's A-B Classic of Acupuncture and Moxibustion, 83 pieces of literature that have been publically published since 1978 were analyzed. A summary was performed according to 7 aspects including version origin, emendation, arrangement and summary, theory discussion, clinical research, value evaluation, the rest questions, etc. It is believed that deep research work has been done on explanations, emendation and translation regarding A-B Classic of Acupuncture and Moxibustion. However, the exploration work on the theory and application is far from enough. Therefore, beginning from historical and cultural background, we should analyze the humanistic spirit of HUANG Fu-mi combined with A-B Classic of Acupuncture and Moxibustion to perform a deep exploration, so we could have a thorough and comprehensive research on HUANG Fu-mi's academic thoughts.

Chinese Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism 1986;0(03):-
Objective To assess the association of obesity, serum lipid levels and insulin resistance with leptin in Nanjing population. Methods One hundred and eighty eight subjects aged 22~81 years in Nanjing were divided into three groups according to BMI and dignosis criteria of diabetes: normal group, obese group and diabetes group. Their weight, height, waist, abdomen and hip circumferences were measured. Total cholesterol, triglycerides, low density lipoprotein cholesterol, high density lipoprotein cholesterol, apoA, apoB, fasting plasma glucose (FPG), true insulin (TI), immunoreactive insulin (IRI) and leptin were also measured. ISI 1=1/(FPG?TI) and ISI 2=1/(FPG?IRI) as insulin sensitivity indexes were used to analyse the relation between leptin and insulin resistance. Results Fasting serum leptin level was associated with sex (four fold as high in women as that in men). BMI was the second strongest determinant of leptin. Leptin was positively correlated with TI (r=0.32, P

Chinese Journal of Infectious Diseases 2001;0(03):-
Objective To investigate the biofilm formation, the alginate biosynthetic gene ex- pression and analyze the mucA gene sequence of mucoid Pseudomonas aeruginosa PA17 and nonmu- cold Pseudomonas aeruginosa PA01.Methods The modified plate culture method was used to estab lish the biofilm model in vitro.Semi-quantitative RT-PCR was used to determine the expression level of algD in planktonic condition and during the formation of biofilm. The mucA gene of PA17 and PA01 was amplified and the products were sequenced. Results PA17 biofilm was mature at 6th day, and PA01 biofilm was mature at 3rd day.The structures of the biofilms were both like pellicle. In planktonic condition, the algD expression of PAl7 was higher than PA01;in biofilm formation, the algD expression was maximal when the biofilm was mature. There was a 166~333 deletion mutation and 342A→G in mueA gene of PA17,the mucA gene of PA01 was the same with the sequence of Genbank. Conclusions The mucA gene mutation of PA17 was a new type, which maybe the reason for the little expression difference of algD between PA17 and PA01 during the biofilm formation than it in planctonic condition and the same structure of PA17 and PA01 biofilm.

AIM:To study the effects of suberoylanilide hydroxamic acid (SAHA) on the apoptosis of hepatic stellate cells (HSCs) and expression of associated proteins, and to investigate the mechanisms of SAHA to induce apoptosis.METHODS:The rat HSCs were isolated by OptiPrep gradient centrifugation method. The effect of SAHA on HSC proliferation was detected by real-time cell analyzer. The morphological changes of HSCs treated with SAHA at different concentrations were observed under inverted microscope. The apoptotic rates of HSCs were analyzed by flow cytometry with Annexin V-FITC/PI staining and fluorescence microscopy. The protein expression of α-smooth muscle actin (α-SMA), collagen I, tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase 1 (TIMP1), glucose-regulated protein 78 (GRP78) and histone deacetylase 6 (HDAC6) was detected by Western blotting. The interaction of GRP78 with HDAC6 in the HSCs was determined by co-immunoprecipitation.RESULTS:HSCs were successfully isolated and cultured for 14 d, during which the HSCs changed gradually from rest state to active state.SAHA significantly inhibited the proliferation of HSCs in a time-and dose-dependent manner (P<0.05).The results of Western blotting showed that the protein expression levels of α-SMA, TIMP1, collagen-I and HDAC6 were significantly decreased (P<0.05), while GRP78 was significantly increased (P<0.05).Compared with activated HSCs, GRP78 and total acetyl-lysine protein were significantly increased in the co-immunoprecipitated HSCs treated with SAHA, while HDAC6 protein was significantly decreased, indicting that GRP78 formed a complex with HDAC6.CONCLUSION:The anti-hepatic fibrosis effect of SAHA may be related to down-regulation of HDAC6 and up-regulation of acetylated GRP78, thus inducing endoplasmic reticulum stress of HSCs and promoting the apoptosis of HSCs.
