Objective To design and optimize the MRS pulse sequence which used to measure gamma-aminobutyric acid(GABA) in vivo. Methods In-depth research for the MRS sequence was carried out and a theoretical analysis and simulation by software using product-operator algebra for the design and optimization of pulse sequence was discussed. Results Through the simulation of MRUI software, Cr signal at ?3.0 was seen to be suppressed and the weak GABA signal was displayed clearly. Conclusion The sequence was designed and optimized. Method to increase the efficiency and the stability of the measurement was studied. Our research gives theoretical preparation for the coming programming work.

Objective To investigate the change and significance of substance P in plasma and skin tissue of diabetic rats. Methods The substance P in plasma and skin tissue was measured by the radioimmunoassay(RIA) in diabetic rats (n=20) and normal rats (n=20) respectively. Results The substance P in diabetic rats was significantly lower than that in normal group(P

Objective To study the effects of Compound Di Gui Capsule (CDGC) on the levels of glucose and lipid in diabetic rats. Methods Rats models with diabetes mellitus were induced by intraperitoneal injection of streptozotocin (50mg?kg-1).Then the diabetic rats were divided into different groups at random.CDGC groups were given CDGC in the dosages of 2.4,1.2,0.6 g?kg-1?d-1 respectively by gastric gavage for 90 d.Levels of whole blood glucose, glycosylated hemoglobin, total cholesterol (TC),triglyceride (TG),low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C),high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C),nitric oxide (NO),total antioxidation capacity (T-AOC) were determined. The insulin level and the pathological changes of pancreatic tissues were also observed. Results The glucose level of diabetic rat was decreased 2h after administration. After administration of CDGC for 90d,the glycosylated hemoglobin,TG,LDL-C and NO were markedly decreased, islet ?cells were protected and restored, and the insulin level and T-AOC were increased. Conclusion CDGC can regulate the metabolism of glucose and lipid in diabetic rats, and can protect and restore the pancreatic islet cells.

Chinese Journal of Rehabilitation Theory and Practice 2017;23(2):146-150
Based on the scheme and classification system of International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health-Children and Youth Version (ICF-CY), the motor dysfunction of cerebral palsy children mainly involved body structure and function, including skele-tal development, joint, function of muscle and nerve reflex, and the systemic movement disorder. A hydrotherapy intervene scheme was rec-ommended based on dysfunction under ICF-CY framework.

Objective To evaluate the clinical value of real-time 3 dimensional echocardiography (RT-3DE) for measurement of right ventricular function in the repaired tetralogy of Fallot (TOF) compared to cine magnetic resonance imaging (c-MRI).Methods Thirty-seven randomly selected patients with repaired TOF from Jan.2000 to Jun.2007 in Children's Hospital,Fudan University underwent both RT-3DE and c-MRI for the data of right ventricular enddiastolic volume (RVEDV),right ventricular end-systolic volume (RVESV),right ventricular ejection fraction (RVEF),which were compared to evaluate the reproducibility and correlation of two ways on right ventricular function. Results All the patients completed both RT-3DE and c-MRI on the same day.The correlation for RVEDV,RVESV,RVEF measured by 2 methods was high (r =0.933,0.943,0.911,P =0.000,0.000,0.105),and it showed that consistency existed in RVEF,as difference was only (1.2 ± 4.5) %.Comparison with c-MRI,RVEDV and RVESV measured by RT-3DE was underestimated,in which difference was (-17.4 ± 16.9) mL,(-9.3 ± 10.5) mL.Conclusions RVEF with RT-3DE can be assessed with acceptable accuracy, but it is not so good for RVEDV and RVESV.Further study needs to be performed to make sure the value of RT-3DE on the assessment of right ventricular function in repaired TOF.

BACKGROUND:Polycaprolactone as a polymer material has poor biocompatibility, and needs to be combined with other natural biological materials to increase biocompatibility, thereby promoting tissue regeneration.OBJECTIVE:To develop a novel honeycomb-like polycaprolactone-calcium silicate crystal compound scaffold, and observe its osteogenic effects in Sprague-Dawley rats with skull defects.METHODS: Eighteen Sprague-Dawley rats were used to make skull defect models and randomized into three groups: blank control group with no implantation, control group with implantation of normal polycaprolactone-calcium silicate crystal compound scaffold, and experimental group with implantation of the novel honeycomb-like polycaprolactone- calcium silicate crystal compound scaffold. Six weeks after implantation, bone regeneration effect in the defect region measuredvia X-ray scanning, Micro-CT three-dimensional reconstruction, and histological analysis.RESULTS AND CONCLUSION: (1) X-ray scan: in all the rats, the size of bone defect was reduced, the fracture line became vague, and the marginal bone density was increased. The percentage of new bone area was highest in the experimental group, successively followed by the control group and blank control group. (2) Micro-CT three-dimensional reconstruction: new bones in the blank control group were mainly distributed on the both sides of the defect, but those in the control and experimental groups distributed in the defect region. The bone regeneration capacity was ranked as follows: experimental group > control group > blank control group (P < 0.05). (3) Histological analysis: new bone ingrowth was visible in all the three groups to different extents. Compared with the other two groups, new bone formation and microvessel density were significantly higher in the experimental group (P < 0.05). To conclude, this novel honeycomb-like polycaprolactone-calcium silicate crystal compound scaffold can obviously promote bone formation in the skull defect region.
