Cone-bine CT(CBCT)images of 2 130 maxillary third molars were divided into 3 groups according to the impaction position. The relationship between the floor of maxillary sinus and the roots of maxillary third molar was analyzed and compared.In low,median and high impaction groups the probability of the root tip of maxillary third molar higher than the floor of maxillary sinus was 4.5%,10.3% and 14.6% respectively.

The Chinese acupuncture doesn't only belong to China but rather to the world.The boom of overseas acupuncture education and scientific research as well as the satisfactory working environment compels us to reflect the Chinese traditional medicine education in our country.Especially in higher education specialty courses of acupuncture should not be subdivided;meanwhile,much attention should be paid to elementary education of western medicine.

AIM: To investigate the effects of oral administration of Astragalus membranceus, mung bean and arsenolite on the toxic of the arsenolite induced rats and the possible mechanisms with metallothionein (MT). METHODS: All the rats were oral administration with arsenolite. The Astragalus membranceus and mung bean were compared with the cadmium chloride which induced MT synthesis. The contents of MT were determined by cadmium saturation method, the liver mRNA levels for MT 1, MT 2 were detected by RT PCR. The protective effects of renal and liver were observed by testing alanine aminotransferase (ALT), blood urea nitrogen (BUN) and serum creatinine (SCR). RESULTS: The contents of MT were accorded with the mRNA expression of MT 1, MT 2. Arsenolite, Astragalus membranceus and mung bean could induce the synthesis of MT, but the contents of MT which arsenolite induced were trace. Objective To investigate the efficacy and safety of ERCP for biliary stricture with duct stone after liver transplantation.Methods Clinical data of 60 patients undergoing ERCP for biliary stricture with duct stone after liver transplantation between January 2013 and June 2014 were retrospectively analyzed.Results ERCP was successfully performed 78 times in 60 patients.Bile duct stenosis was cured in 24 cases (40％),improvement was observed in 27 cases (45％) and was not obvious in 9 cases (15％).Bile duct stones were successfully removed in 39 patients (65％).Incidence of post-ERCP complications was 13％ (8/60),including mild pancreatitis in 1 case,hyperamylasemia in 5 cases,biliary tract infection in 2 cases,which were all resolved after conservative treatment.Conclusion ERCP is a safe and effective treatment for biliary stricture with duct stone following liver transplantation.

Objective To investigate the epidemiology of drug-resistant tuberculosis (TB) in five rural counties of eastern China and analyze the biological,demographic and social risk factors.Methods Subjects of this study were all the diagnosed TB patients registered in the five study sites in Shandong Province,Jiangsu Province and Zhejiang Province during one year of 2008- 2009.Questionnaire interview was conducted in all the subjects to acquire the socio-demographic and clinical information.Sputum samples were collected for culturing and isolating of Mycobacterium tuberculosis (M.TB) strains.All the M.TB isolates were further tested for the susceptibility to first-line drugs including rifampin,isoniazid,ethambutol and strepomycin by proportion method.Mantel-Haenszel chi-square test,Fisher's exact test,ANOVA and nonconditional Logistic regression modeling were applied for data analysis.Results Among the total 380 M.TB isolates,105 were resistant to at least one of the first-line drugs.The total drug resistant TB prevalence was 27.6％.Multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) was observed in 8.4％ of newly treated TB patients,whereas it was 23.3％in previously treated TB patients.After adjusted by county,gender and age of the subjects,multivariate analysis showed that previous treatment history (OR=3.900,95％CI: 1.737-8.704),tuberculosis cavity (OR - 1.987,95 ％ CI: 1.001 - 3.942) were independent factors influencing the occurrence of MDR-TB.Conclusions The prevalence of drug resistant TB in rural area of eastern China is relatively low compared with the average level in China,while it is still higher than the global average level.The present study highlights that TB patients with previous treatment history,cavitaryTB are correlated with MDR-TB,and elderly patients are at high risk of MDR-TB.
