Objective To evaluate the clinical significance of serum thyroglobulin autoantibody(TGAb) in thyroglobulin(TG)-negative and TGAb-positive patients with differentiated thyroid carcinoma(DTC)after thyroid ablation and ascertain the optimal operating point(OOP)of TGAb.Methods A total of 169 patients with histologically confirmed DTC and thyroid remnant ablation showed TG-negative and TGAb-positive results which were assessed by electrochemiluminescence immunoassay(ECLIA).The cases were divided into group A(59 cases)and group B(110 cases)with or without evidence of recurrence or metastasis,respectively.The receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve and positive likelihood ratio of different threshold values were analysed according to their serum TGAb level.Results Serum TGAb level(1368?1343)IU/ml in group A was significantly higher than that(154?539)IU/ml in group B(P1000 IU/ml was 1.12 times that of 204 IU/ml≤TGAb≤1000 IU/ml,4.03 times that of 100 IU/ml≤TGAb

Objective To investigate the expression and significance of TLR-2 and HO-1 in recurrent nasal polyps,and to discuss the relationship between the expression and the recurrence of nasal polyps. Methods The immune protein imprinting technology was used to detect the protein expression of TLR-2 and HO-1 in 20 cases of recurrent nasal polyps,20 cases of nasal polyps and 20 cases of normal mucosal tissue in control group, and the relationship between the two proteins were analyzed. Results Expression levels of TLR-2 and HO-1 in the tissues of the recurrent nasal polyps had statistically significant difference with nasal polyps group ( <0.05) . Expression levels of TLR-2 and HO-1 in the tissues of the nasal polyps had statistically significant difference with normal nasal mucosa tissues ( <0.05) .The expression of TLR-2 and HO-1 had significant correlation in each group ( <0.05) .Conclusion TLR-2 and HO-1 plays an important role in the recurrence mechanism of nasal polyps, and both of them may be as objective indicators for postoperative follow-up of patients with recurrent nasal polyps and judging the recurrent trend.

Objective The aim of this study was to evaluate the diagnostic value of thyroglobulin(Tg)mRNA in peripheral blood samples of patients with differentiated thyroid carcinoma(DTC)after remnant ablation.Methods Tg mRNA Was detected by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR)in peripheral blood of 162 patients.SPSS 13.0 was used for date analysis.Results The Tg mRNA assay had higher sensitivity than the conventional serum Tg measurement[86.61%(97/112)vs 53.57%(60/112),X2=29.153,P＜0.001]which Was the"gold standard"for the identification of recurrence or metastases.In the anti-Tg antibodies(TgAb)positive DTC patients,the sensitivity of Tg mRNA was higher than that of serum Tg[86.54%(45/52)vs 0]in identifying recurrent or metastatic thyroid disease(X2=79.322,P＜0.001).There was a significantly positive correlation between Tg mRNA expression and the clinical stages(Kendall correlation coefficient=0.515,P＜0.001).There was no difference of Tg mRNA expression in peripheral blood among ages,sex,pathological types and location of metastases,respectively(Kendall correlation coefficient=0.020,0.069,0.050 and 0.028;all P＞0.05).Conclusions Circulating Tg mRNA is a more sensitive marker than serum Tg in identifying recurrent or metastatic DTC,particulady in patients during levo-thyroxine(l-T4)therapy and with TgAb-positive.The DTC patients who have positive expression of Tg mRNA indicates poor prognosis.

Objective To master of the characteristics of development and variation in plague natural foci of Marmota sibirica, and to analyze the plague monitoring results from 2004 to 2008. Methods From May to September every year, we monitored plague in Manzhouli, Chenbaerhuqi, Xinbaerhuzuoqi, Xinbaerhuyouqi,Ewenkeqi and Yakeshi city. The monitored area was 20 000 - 40 000 hm2 in every county. The density of Marmota,ground squirrel and moonlighting rats was surveyed by path method, one-day bow-clip method and a clamp was placed every five meters, respectively. The classification and identification of ectoparasite fleas were done by using low power lens. The fleas in the ground squirrel hole were collected by flannel rubber stick, then classified and identified. According to National Standard of Plague Diagnostic Criteria(GB 15991-1995), the collected rats and fleas were detected by isolation and cultured Yersinia pestis, the serums of collected rats were tested by indirect hemagglutination test. Results In five years, the density of Marmota and ground squirrel was 0.010/hm2 and 0.602/hm2, respectively. The capture rate of moonlighting rats was 2.69％ (258/9600). The flea infection rate of Marmota was 17.54％(10/57) and the fleas index was 2.54. The fleas infection rate of ground squirrel was 28.40％(213/750) and the fleas index was 1.01. Flea infection rat of ground squirrel hole was 5.60％(46/822) and the fleas index was 0.17. The total number of various hosts of Yersinia pestis detected was 1351, the groups number of the variety of cultured fleas was 127, and the pathogen test results were negative. The number of serum tested was 1064, positive number was 43, and the detection rate was 4.04％(43/1064). The highest positive titer was 1 : 1280. Other than 2006, the remaining four years were found positive for blood clotting material; positive serum was found in a total of three regions, they were Manzhouli, Xinbaerhuzuoqi, and Xinbaerhuyouqi; and 30, 12 and 1 copies of hemagglutination-positive sera were detected. Conclusions The epidemic of plague natural foci of Marmota sibirica is in a active state, and gradually expands the scope. We must continue to strengthen the inspection of the bacteria, bearing in mind the replacement of the region's main host, make every effort to prevent and control of human plague.

AIM:To study the effects of Hydrogen Peroxide(H2O2)and 11,12-epoxyeicosatrienoic acid(11,12-EET)on EDHF-mediated relaxation in the rat basilar arteries.METHODS: The relaxant effects of acetylcholine(ACh),H2O2,11,12-EET,and catalase(CAT) on rat arteria basilaris in vitro were detected by vasomotoricity experiment in vitro.RESULTS: In the rat basilar arteries,preconstricted by 30 mmol/L KCl in vitro,ACh(10-7-10-4.5 mol/L) had the concentration-dependent relaxation effect.3?10-5 mol/L N?-nitro-L-arginine-methyl-ester(L-NAME) and 10-5 mol/L indomethacin(Indo) could partly inhibit the relaxation effect of ACh to the rat basilar arteries,but non-No/non-PGI2-mediated relaxation was still significant(P

OBJECTIVETo observe the effect of anisodamine (Ani) injection on the survival rate and histologic result of flaps with ischemia-reperfusion injury, so as to demonstrate the protective effect of Ani on the flap survival.

METHODSA total of 48 healthy male Wistar rats were randomly divided into model control, normal saline(NS) and anisodamine groups, with 16 rats in each group. An 3 cm x 6 cm axial flap was formed at the right lower abdomen with abdominal superficial blood vessel as the pedicle. 0.5 cm x 0.5 cm skin tissue was taken from the middle part of flaps in each group, immediately after operation, 12, 18, 24 h after operation. The superoxide dismutase (SOD), nitric oxide (NO), nuclear factor-kappaB contents in the specimens were detected. The histologic study was also performed. The flap survival rate was recorded 7 days after operation.

RESULTSFlap survival rate was (78.6 +/- 7.3) % in Anisodamine group. 12, 18, 24 h after reperfusion injury, the SOD was (103.3 +/- 3.9), (82.6 +/- 3.8), (67.5 +/- 4.6) U/mg; the NO was (5.33 +/- 2.05), (4.75 +/- 1.68), (4.15 +/-1.59) nmol/mg; the NF-kappaB was 0.211 +/- 0.039, 0.313 +/- 0.033, 0.096 +/- 0.028. The contents of SOD, NO and NF-kappaB had the statistical difference of at different time. The skin pathological changes in Anisodamine group was obviously better than those in NS group. Flap survival rate in Anisodamine group was significantly higher than that in NS group.

CONCLUSIONSIn the flap with ischemia-reperfusion injury, Anisodamine can reduce the damage of free radical, increase the blood flow, reduce the production of NF-KB, decrease inflammatory reaction. So Anisodamine can increase the survival rate of flaps with ischemia reperfusion injury.

Objective To detect the expression level of Ang-1, Ang -2 and Tie-2 receptor mRNAs in the hemangioma tissuses and to explore the effects of Ang-1, Ang-2, and Tie-2 receptor on the angio-genesis in the hemangioma. Methods By use of semiquantinative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction, we detected the expression level of Ang-1 mRNA, Ang-2 mRNA and Tie-2 mRNA in 30 cases of hemangioma (17 specimens of proliferating hemangioma, and 13 involuting hemangioma )together with 10 cases of normal skin as control, and the expression level of Ki-67 protein was also detected by an im-munohistochemica method. Results The expression of Ang-2 mRNA and Tie-2 mRNA in the prolifera-ting hemangiomas was higher than that in involuting hemangiomas (P<0.01) . The expression of Ang-1 mRNA in hemangiomas was negative. Conclusion The unbalance of Ang-Tie-2 system is probably impor-tant for the pathogenesis and development in hemangiomas.

Objective To evaluate the antitumor effect of corosolic acid and its impact on CAM and YSM angiogenesis.Methods The effects of CRA on A549 proliferation was studied by MTT method in vitro.Tumor-bruden nude mice model were established by injecting A549 lung cancer cell marked with bioluminescent to nude mice,and the growth of tumor in mice were detected by IVIS small animal in vivo imaging system.Experiment of chicken embryos eggs are used to observe the role of drugs on CAMand YSMblood vessels. Results The value of IC50 of CRA for A549 in vitro was 26.8μg/mL.A tumor-burdened animal experiment results showed that the CRA to A549 solid tumor has a certain therapeutic effect.CAM and YSM blood vessels of chicken embryos eggs treated with CRA were decreased significantly than negative control group.Conclusion CRA has certain therapeutic effect for A549,which may be related to the inhibition of angiogenesis in tumor tissues.
