1.Roles of interleukins in carcinogenesis and development of gastric cancer
Journal of Shanghai Jiaotong University(Medical Science) 2009;29(11):1387-1390
Helicobacter pylori (H. Pylori) infection has been an established risk factor for gastric cancer identified by World Health Organization. H. Pylori triggers chronic inflammation of gastric mucosa and induces host cells to release various cytokines, some of which might lead normal epithelial cells to transfer to gastric cancer. Expression of interleukins in gastric mucosa experiences significant changes after H. Pylori infection. Interleukins play different roles in carcinogenesis and development of gastric cancer. This article briefly reviews the research advances of roles of interleukins in carcinogenesis and development of gastric cancer.

NADPH oxidases are a family of multi-subunit enzyme eomplexes. It catalyzes the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS).A large number of studies have shown that oxidative stress plays a very important role in cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury, and the find of the expression changes about NADPH oxidase after cerebral ischemia may provide a new idea for the prevention and treatment of ischemic stroke.NADPH oxidase may become a new therapeutic target.

Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 2001;0(10):-
Objective To investigate the influence of FBG2 on the growth, proliferation, apoptosis, infiltration and cell cycle of the gastric cancer line MKN45. Methods A critical component ubiquitin-protein ligase complex, FBG2 cDNA, was subcloned into a constitutive vector pcDNA3.1, followed by transfection in MKN45 by using liposome. Then stable expression clones were selected and appraised. The apoptosis and cell cycles were detected using flow cytometry. The growth and proliferation were analyzed by plotting cell growth curves and colony formation assay respectively. The ability of infiltration was tested using cancer cell migration assay. The MKN-FBG2 group and two control groups were included in the study. Results MKN-FBG2 grew faster than MKN45 and MKN-PC. The cell counts of MKN-FBG2 on the fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh day were significantly larger than that of others (P

Journal of Environment and Health 1993;0(03):-
Leukemia is one of the common tumors, and it seriously harms to the health. The more serious environmental pollutions become, the more people pay attention to the relationship between environmental exposures and leukemia, especially children leukemia. To discuss the progress of study on formaldehyde and leukemia, this study states the characteristics of formaldehyde, the resources of formaldehyde indoor air and the harms to health, toxicity and human cancinogenicity, and reviews the researches on the relationship between formaldehyde and leukemia. It concludes that there is "strong but not sufficient evidence for a causal association between leukemia and occupational exposure to formaldehyde".

Journal of Environment and Health 2007;0(12):-
Objective To know the relationship between air pollutants and daily hospital visits for respiratory diseases in Guangzhou. Methods The data of daily hospital visits for respiratory diseases in a hospital in Guangzhou during 2006 to 2008, along with the daily meteorological factors, air pollutants concentration (NO2, PM10,PM2.5 and SO2) were collected. The time series analysis auto-regression model was used, considering the potential confounding factors such as seasonal and meteorological factors. Results Daily hospital visits for respiratory diseases presented a significant week effect, the time of higher daily hospital visits for respiratory diseases was the same of higher concentration of pollutants. When SO2 and NO2 increased by 10 ?g/m3, the daily hospital visits increased by 3%(P

Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 1983;0(05):-
To investigate the expression of ICAM 1 and TNF ? in gastric mucosal cell during drug induced mucosal injury, the authors carried out the study in SD rats with aspirin by mouth with immunohistochemical method . The results showed that ICAM 1 began to express at 30min after administration of aspirin, peaked at 1h, maintained until 6h, decreased at 12h,and expressed slightly at 24h . TNF ? began to express at 15min, peaked at 3h to 6h,decreased at 12h, and expressed significantly at 24h. There was a slight ICAM 1 and TNF ? expression in gastric mucosal cells in the control group. It was suggested that the expression of ICAM 1 and TNF ? plays an important role in the mechanisms of gastric mucosal injury .

Objective To investigate the relationship between the level of serum cystatin C (CysC) and cognitive function in patients with acute cerebral lacunar infarction caused by small vessel disease . Methods One hundred twen-ty-three patients with acute cerebral lacunar infarction were divided into 3 groups according to serum cystatin C level. Patients were further divided into normal group (n=64), vascular mild cognitive impairment (VaMCI) group(n=36),and vascular dementia( VaD) group (n=23). The CysC, estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR), serum creatinine (Scr), TC, TG, HDL, LDL, fast glucose, HbA1C, NIHSS, MMSE, ADAS-cog score were compared between the 3 groups. Multivari-able logistic regression analysis was used to examine the association of serum CysC with cognitive function. Results Sub-jects with higher CysC levels tended to have lower MMSE score(21.98 ± 6.08 vs. 25.02 ± 4.69 vs. 25.10 ± 3.95 )and higher ADAS-cog score(17.73±14.23 vs. 12.51±10.39 vs. 10.67±7.53). The higher CysC was, the higher SCr and lower eGFR were. Subjects with severer cognition impairment tended to have higher CysC(0.93 ± 0.21 vs. 1.10 ± 0.45 vs. 1.34 ± 0.58). Multivariable logistic regression showed the regression coefficient was 7.06(P<0.05). Conclusion Elevated Serum CysC is one of the risk factors of cognitive dysfunction and associated with the severity in patients with small vessel disease-re-lated acute lacunar cerebral infarction.

International Journal of Cerebrovascular Diseases 2006;0(03):-
Understanding the basic mechanism of reading is the foundation for studying the pathogenesis of alexia and its rehabilitation care. Functional magnetic resonance imaging is one of imaging methods that can display the neurological activities in brain in vivo. It has been used in the studies of linguistics in recent years, particularly in the mechanisms of reading and processing. The article reviews the lateralization of Chinese single word processing and whether or not the specific brain region for cognitive processing of Chinese characters exists.

Chinese Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism 1986;0(04):-
The expression of estrogen receptor (ER) in thymus of female BALB/c mice at different ages was investigated. The results showed that the expression of ER in thymus was increased from 1 to 8 weeks after birth. ER positive cells were thymic epithelial cells and thymocytes. ER existed not only in the cytoplasm, but also in the nucleus.
