1.Correlation between ponticulus of atlas and abnormal morphology of V3 segment of vertebral artery using multi-slice spiral CT angiography

Objective To explore the correlation between ponticulus of atlas and abnormal morphology of V3 segment of vertebral artery. Methods All patients included in this study were underwent CTA and 3D reconstruction examination of intracranial ponticulus and cervical in our workstation, as well as the site, shape of petals and its relationship with vertebral artery was observed. The diameter, shape and trail of vertebral V3 segment were measured and analyzed. The results were analyzed byχ2 test. Results A total of 195 sides (157 cases) ponticulus were detected in 613 cases (1 226 sides), the abnormal morphology of V3 segment of vertebral artery were 103 sides and combined with ponticulus 69 sides among them, including (according to side): the collectivity was 8.4% (103/1 226), combination ponticulus was 35.4% (69/195), uncombination ponticulus was 3.3%(34/1 031), and the risk with ponticulus was increased compared with no ponticulus, and showed statistical significance by Chi-square test(χ2=215.679,P=0.001). The difference of abnormality of vertebral artery was performanced in number, site and shape of ponticulus, we found that the ponticulus composite was 57.1%(12/21) and higher than ponticulus simple 32.8%(57/174)(χ2=4.873,P=0.027), the ponticulus borderl was 68.8%(11/16) which was also higher than ponticulus posticus(27.2%) and ponticulus lateralis(36.4%)in the ponticulus simple(χ2=11.357,P=0.030), the sharp ones (64.2%) were higher than the blunt(14.6%)in the tip of bony processes of the incomplete type ponticulus(χ2=26.813, P=0.001),the smaller ones were higher than the larger in the distance of the gap between the two tips of bony processes in the incomplete type ponticulus(χ2=9.212,P=0.010), and the smallerones(87.5%)were also higher than the larger(28.6%)in the diameter of the hole of complete type ponticulus(χ2=18.193,P=0.001), all of the above ones showed statistical significance among all groups by Chi-square test (P<0.05). Conclusions Ponticulus of atlas can significantly increase the risk of abnormal morphology of V3 segment of vertebral artery, and the differences of abnormality of vertebral artery were performed in number, site and shape of ponticulus, which included the ponticulus composite, ponticulus borderland, the shape tip of bony processes, the moderate distance between the two lip of bony processes, and the smaller diameter of complete type Ponticulus.
2.MSCT VRT observation and analysis in the ponticulus of atlas

Objective To expand MSCT obseration and cognition in the ponticulus of atlas,and to improve the diagnosis for it. Methods 263 cases were collected among the patients undergone the examine of MSCT angiography in intracranial and cervical and volume rendering technique(VRT)with unenhance images,and observation and analysis was focused on the posterior arch of atlas. Results 69 cases(97 sides)were detected ponticulus in this group,including unilateral in 41 cases,bilateral in 28 cases.The simple type ponticulus were 82 sides,including the ponticulus posterior (PP)were 60 sides,the ponticulus lateralis (PL)were 1 5 sides,the ponticulus borderland (PB)were 5 sides,The ponticulus middle (PM)were 2 sides.According to the shape of the ponticulus:simple root in 43 sides,opposite beaked in 21 sides,complete type in 18 sides.The ponticulus compound (PC)were 1 5 sides.Conclusion The images of MSCT VRT can showed accurately the ponticulus of atlas,and it can provide reliable imaging evidence on its diagnosis and classification,and it can be used as an unearthly method for its examination.
3.Growth inhibition of human ovarian cancer by lentivirus-mediated HER2-siRNA monitored with radioimmunoimaging

Objective To investigate the effect of human epidermal growth factor receptor-2 (HER2) silenced by lentivirus-mediated RNA interference (RNAi) on the growth of SKOV-3 ovarian cancer,and to explore the value of radioimmunoimaging in monitoring the biotherapy of RNAi.Methods The ovarian cancer cell line SKOV-3 was infected with lentivirus-mediated HER2-short hairpin (sh) RNA expression vector and scrambled control lentivirus vector,respectively.Both infected cells were inoculated into nude mice to establish two ovarian cancer xenograft models:knock down 1 (KD1) group and normal control (NC) group.The uninfected SKOV-3 xenograft model served as blank control (CON) group.The tumor formation rate,tumor generation time and tumor size at different time points were measured.The expression of HER2 protein was measured by immunohistochemistry.1n Ⅰ-Herceptin was injected before radioimmunoimaging,and the T/B ratios were acquired.One-way analysis of variance and the least significant difference (LSD)-t test were performed with SPSS 17.0.Results All mice models were constructed successfully (100%,15/15).The average time of tumor generation was (4.583±0.520) d,(4.567±0.284) d and (6.023±0.316) d in CON,NC and KD1 groups,respectively(F=13.946,P<0.01).The tumor formation time of KD1 group was significantly longer than the other two groups (t=4.557,4.608,both P<0.01),respectively.On the 28th day after the tumor cell implantation,the tumor size was significantly different among the three groups (F=26.343,P<0.01).The tumor mass was (0.614±0.135) g,(0.558±0.190) g and (0.120±0.489) g in CON,NC and KD1 groups,respectively (F=225.026,P<0.01).Both the tumor size (t=7.125,4.759) and tumor mass (t=19.158,16.977) of KD1 group were significantly less than those of CON and NC groups (all P<0.01),respectively.Immunohistochemical results showed that the HER2 protein expression was inhibited in the KD1 group.The tumor could be visualized clearly on radioimmunoimaging at different time points.The T/B ratio of the KD1 group (0.208-4.427) was significantly lower than those of the other two groups at any intervals (0.576-5.508,0.640-5.695; F=9.197-39.375,all P<0.05).Conclusions The growth of SKOV-3 could be inhibited remarkably by lentivirus-mediated HER2-siRNA.Radioimmunoimaging with 1nI-Herceptin might positively correlate with the expression of HER2 protein,which might have potential for monitoring the biotherapy of RNAi targeting HER2.
4.Adverse reactions to cosmetics: an analysis of surveillance data from 2005 to 2014 in China

Objective To investigate the prevalence and characteristics of adverse reactions to cosmetics in China,and to provide a basis for further supervision.Methods The diagnosis of adverse reactions to cosmetics was according to 7 national standards (GB17149.1-7-1997) including the A general rule for the diagnosis and management of skin diseases induced by cosmetics.Data regarding gender,age,occupation,educational background,disease types,cosmetic types,and so on,were collected from patients with adverse reactions to cosmetics at 13 surveillance sites in China during 2005-2014.A descriptive statistical analysis was carried out.Results During 2005-2014,a total of 13 534 cases of adverse reactions to cosmetics were reported to the monitoring system.Of these cases,95.40% (12 912/13 534) were female,and 80.85% were young or middle-aged (20-44 years).Finally,5 446 cases were confirmed to be adverse reactions to cosmetics,among which,94.66% (5 155/5 466) were contact dermatitis to cosmetics,and 132 were other types that were not included in the A general rule for the diagnosis and management of skin diseases induced by cosmetics.Among these confirmed cases,14 209 cosmetic products were involved,and ordinary skin care products predominated in these products.The proportion of imported cosmetic products (48.79%,6 932/14 209) was slightly higher than that of domestic products (43.21%,6 139/14 209).The number of reported eases increased by 13.16% per year from 2005 to 2009,but decreased by 17.96% per year from 2010 to 2014.Conclusion Adverse reactions to cosmetics are a complicated and important public health issue,and effective measures should be taken based on their characteristics.
