1.Investigation of the changes of lipemia and proteinuria in process of treatment of nephrotic syndrome
Journal of Practical Medicine 2002;435(11):13-15
A study on the process of treatment of 40 patients with the nephritic syndrome, without the renal failure by prednisolone from 12/1996 to 5/1998 has shown that 100% patients had a high increased concentration of total cholesterol (CT) and low density lipoprotein (LDL); 90% patient had an increased concentration of triglyceride (TG) and 15% patient had an increased concentration of high density lipoprotein (HDL); 100% patients had an increased concentrations of proteinuria over 3.5 g/24 hours. After 2 weeks of treatment, the concentrations of CT, LDL, TG were reduced but were not significant different from these in baseline. The proteinuria was reduced to 40%; concentration of HDL was gradually increased. Their reductions were significant different from these before treatment but risks were high. 75% patients had negative proteinuria.

2.Dyslipidemia during treatment of nephrotic syndrome at Hue Central Hospital
Journal of Practical Medicine 2002;435(11):45-47
Dyslipidemia is very common in nephrotic syndrome, but in clinical practice this problem is not much interested in, although hyperlipidemia can make dangerous complications for the patients. This study examined the variety of dyslipidemia after steroid treatment in patients with nephrotic syndrome but without renal failure. We studied on 40 patients with nephrotic syndrome at HuÕ Central Hospital and found that before treatment, total cholesterol and LDL concentrations are high. After two-week therapy, these concentrations decreased but insignificantly. After four-week therapy, total cholesterol and LDL concentrations decreased, HDL concentration increased. There was significant difference in comparison with the pre-treated concentrations (p<0.05).

3.Artery embolization for treatment of fibroid uterine myoma - a nonsurgical proper choice
Journal of Medical and Pharmaceutical Information 2004;0(8):14-17
Fibroid uterine is a common disease, accounts for 30-40% women between 30 and 50 years old. It is benign, gradual progress, and diversified clinical development. Artery embolization - a less-invasive method was widely used in the world within 8 years ago (but only 3 years in Vietnam).. This method has many advantages: gentle, safe, and effective technique, keeping body intact, higher quality of life for patients. Wide application of this method is reasonable and essential

4.Kidney donor exchange - an efficacious solution to the lack of transplant organs
Journal of Medical and Pharmaceutical Information 2004;10():5-7
Currently world wide, the majority of kidney transplantations is realized with living donor, not using cadaver. In the past, in majority of cases, the donor and the recipient are familiar relatives, assuring immune compatibility. But at present basing on the new advances in antirejection measures, this technique can be applied in any pairs without blood relations. The detection of these pairs is very difficult but could be realized completely. The cases of exchange between uncomfortable pairs could give satisfied results

5.Evaluation on the effects of LP4 in the treatment of blood lipid disorders in 52 patients in Hospital of traditional medicine, Tuyen Quang province
Journal Reasearch of Vietnam Traditional Medicine and Pharmacy 2003;0(9):33-36
From January 2000 to July 2002, in Tuyen Quang Hospital of Traditional Medicine, 52 patients (32 male, 20 female) aged 30-37, with the syndrome of hyperlipidemia, having clinical signs of pain and weary limbs, dim sight, deteriorated memory, high blood presure and headache… A 30 days course of LP4 formula in combining with proper diet (a decoction daily). Good results reported on 27 patients, satisfied on 21, medium 2 and bad on 2. No side effect is notified

6.Some observations on clinical and paraclinical characteristics of malformation of cerebral vessel in children
Journal of Practical Medicine 2003;439(1):46-47
In Bach Mai Hospital from May 1998 to June 2002, 23 children aged 10-15 (15 girls and 8 boys) with malformation of brain vessel were diagnosed definitely. Most of under 11-year-old children have swelling vessel, 30.4% of above 11-year-old children have AVM malformation - 52.1%. The main manifestations of brain vessel malformation are hemorrhage of brain lobe 65.2%, subarachroid hemorrhage 39.1%, brain ischemia 30.4%, epilepxy or epileptic conditions 21.7%, head pain of migraine type 17.4%. Unilateral palsy of III nerve is specific sign for diagnosis of swelling of prosterior communicating artery with a rate of 8.7%. Dysphasia is temporary, while the visual dysfunction is more persistent

7.Various systems of staging of hepatocellular carcinoma
Journal of Medical and Pharmaceutical Information 2004;0(7):4-8
System of clinical staging of hepatocellular carcinoma plays an important role in evaluating the condition of patient and choosing treatment method. It also is basic to compare different study groups and studies. In the world, there are various systems of staging hepatocellular carcinoma. However, TNM and Okuda are the most classical systems. Some countries have recently built up their own systems such as Child-Pugh, Okuda, CLIP, VISUM-HCC (Austria) and BCLC (Spain). In these systems, CLIP is the most preeminent. It shows completely all prognosis factors of hepatocellular carcinoma

8.Oral vaccine produced from transgenic plants
Journal of Medical and Pharmaceutical Information 2005;0(10):12-22
An important feature of immune system in general and gastrointestinal immune system in particular is the mobility of member cells. In DNA recombination technique, bacteria like E. coli are often used to make recombination protein including vaccine . The advantage of the bacteria is manipulating easily with their gene. There are two major methods to transfer gene in plants. One is based on Agrobacterium tumefactions, a bacterium that naturally live in the soil, which is able to transfer a number of DNA including one of its plasmids to plant cells to integrate into the plant's genome at cell nucleus. The other is transformation by Agrobacterium which is more common used to make vaccine transgenic plants

9.Some remarks on clinical and CT scan features of cerebral infarction
Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 2003;281(2):21-27
At the Department of Neurology, Bach Mai Hospital, 11 cases of cerebral infarction were studied in the first 6 months of the year 2002. All 11 patients underwent CT scanning, blood examination, EEG, X-ray examination of heart and lung. Results showed that cerebral infarction can be diagnosed definitely, especially it can be differentiated with cerebral haemorrhage, etc … to develop a possibility of intensive and effective management of cerebral infarction. CT radiography permits an efficacy monitoring of the treatment processus

10.Some remarks on reversible ischemic neurologic deficit
Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 2003;282(3):6-10
The study carried on 30 patients diagnosed reversible ischemic neurologic deficit (RIND) at Bach Mai Hospital Nervous deparment from 2000 January. Result: The indicende of male was higher than female (67% vs 33%). 70% were 45 to 59 years of age. Two major reasons were internal carotid artery stenosis 60%, heart diseases e.g mitral stenosis and insufficiency, artrial fibrillation 27%, the cause of unknown 13%. The clinical symptoms of RIND were: hemiplegia 100%, hemisensory loss, dysphasia or aphasia. RIND can make cerebral infarction, so need to detect early and treat timely to advoid stroke and cerebral infarction
