Objective To assess circulating miRNAs’diagnosis value of breast cancer. Methods Conducted PubMed,Embase, the Cochrane Library,CNKI,cqvip, and wangfang database search in any language before June 2014.A total of 12 publica-tions were included in the meta-analysis.Then,the meta-analysis was performed using Meta-Disc 1.4.Meanwhile,the diag-nostic sensitivity, specitivity, positive likelyhood ratio, negative likelyhood ratio and diagnostic odds ratio were pooled by ran-dom-effects models. And the overall diagnostic performance was estimated by summary receiver operating characteristic curves (sROC)approaches.Stata12.0 was used to evaluated the publication bias. Results The pooled sensitivity was 80%(95%CI 0.77~0.82),specificity was 78% (95%CI 0.75~0.81);positive likelihood ratio was 4.09 (95%CI 2.80~5.99), negative likelihood ratio was 0.22 (95%CI 0.15~0.31),diagnostic odds rations was 20.64 (95%CI 10.24~41.62).The AUC for circulating miRNAs was 0.89 with Q value of 0.82.Publication bias was observed in existing literatures.Conclu-sion Circulating miRNAs is a potential biomarker in the diagnosis of breast cancer.

Objective To develop a new instrument to assess swallowing function which will be suitable for nurses to screen dysphagia in the patients with stroke.MethodsItems closely related to symptoms and signs of dysphagia were found with literature review, forming a preliminary instrument. All items retrieved were selected and modified by experts interview and a pilot study in patients with stroke. Then, a clinical nursing swallowing assessment tool (CNSAT) was formulated.ResultsTotally, seven items of symptoms and signs related to dysphagia in patients with stroke were found with literature review. All the seven items retrieved were selected again by experts interview and finally a CNSAT was formed with six modified items by a pilot study in 10 patients with stroke, each item with four choice based on its severity of their symptoms and signs.ConclusionCNSAT is a simple, convenient and safe instrument and suitable for nurses to assess swallowing function of patients with stroke.

The goal of treatment of metabolic syndrome is the prevention of diabetes and cardiovascular events. A series of novel tetrahydrocoptisine quaternary ammonium compounds were prepared to evaluate their action of hypoglycemia and hypolipidemia for finding the therapeutic agents of metabolic syndrome. Starting from the coptisine hydrochloride (2), fifteen target compounds were synthesized by reduction and substitution of the 7-N position. All of the target compounds were characterized by 1H NMR and HR-MS. Their hypoglycemic activities were evaluated in HepG2 cell and hypolipidemic activities of compounds with better hypoglycemic activity were tested further in vivo. Results indicated that compounds 5, 7, 8 and 9 exhibited better hypoglycemic activities in vitro and compounds 5 and 8 exhibited good hypolipidemic activities in high-fat-diet (HFD) induced hyperlipidemia mice and (or) hamsters. However, the activity is not as good as simvastatin.

Objective To elucidate the roles of TANK-binding kinase-1(TBKl)in hepatitis B virus (HBV)infection induced interferon antiviral immunity. Methods Peripheral blood monocytes were separated by CD14 magnetic microbeads from healthy volunteers(HV)and chronic hepatitis B(CHB)patients.Purified mDCs were induced and proliferated in the culture medium with human granulocyte-macrophage concentration of 25 mg/L were stimulated. The mRNA expressions of TBK1,interferon regulatory factor (IRF)3 and interferon(IFN)-βwere quantified by real time polymerase chain reaction(PCR).The levels of IFN-β in supernatants were determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).Reslllts The mRNA levels of TBK1,IRF3 and IFN-β did not change significantly at 0,12,24 and 48 h after the significantly at 0, 12, 24 and 48 h in CHB group, whereas, it was significantly up-regulated at 12 h in HV group. Conclusions Our results suggest that there may be some disorders in host antiviral signal transduction pathways downstream the binding between ligands and receptors on mDC surface. The insufficient IFN-β expression after HBV infection may result in persistent chronic infection.

Acupuncture has been applied in 183 countries and regions and gradually become a name card as TCM spreads across the world. The international influence of which plays a significant role in enhancing TCM development. The laws and regulations of TCM acupuncture along One-Belt-One-Road countries were compared and analyzed in this article. With comprehensive research and analysis, the international development strategy of acupuncture was rationally proposed. Combined with the historical background of China's national initiative One-Belt-One-Road, the acupuncture was taken as a breakthrough to lead the global spreading of TCM culture and Chinese herbs, so as to enhance China's soft strength, which could further create a fine cultural environment for the economic prosperity of One-Belt-One-Road countries. In addition, the strategy selection for China regarding TCM acupuncture development along One-Belt-One-Road countries was proposed, and the suggestive solution and implementation strategy for the essential missions and significant issues were provided.
