Objective To explore the correlation of TCM syndrome patterns of chronic pharyngitis(CP)with etiological factors. Methods A questionnaire investigation was carried out in 102 CP patients,of which 30 were differentiated as lung-kidney yin deficiency,30 as spleen-stomach deficiency,30 as phlegm coagulation and blood stasis, and 12 as spleen-kidney yang deficiency. The dietary hobbies, living and working environment, systemic diseases and living habits of the patients were recorded.Meanwhile, parameters of the pharyngeal microorganism and immunology were detected. Results The results of nonparametric test showed significant difference between the age and the mean disease course of the four syndrome patterns(P0.05). There existed significant difference between indulging in spicy food, indulging in cold and raw food, and staying up at night in the four syndromes (P0.05).The distribution of the four syndromes was different in the population with medical history of tonsillitis, dental caries, chronic cough, chronic gastritis and chronic colitis(P0.05).Conclusion The syndrome patterns of chronic pharyngitis are correlated with age, disease course, dietary habits of indulging in spicy food and cold-raw food, living habit of staying up at night, systemic disease or disease of organs around the throat, but are not correlated with sex, household registration, job, working and living environment, indulging in frying food, hobbies of smoking and drinking, living habits, emotional factors, throat swab culture results and immune parameters.
4. Research on SRAP molecular markers in germplasm resources of Coix lacryma-jobi
Chinese Traditional and Herbal Drugs 2015;46(1):112-117
Objective: To study the 25 germplasm resources of Coix lacryma-jobi by the technique of SRAP molecular markers. Methods: Taking genome DNA in the leaves of C. lacryma-jobi extracted by modified CTAB method as template. Six ideal primer pairs were selected from 88 primer pairs by using the optimized SRAP-PCR reaction system and the amplification of 25 germplasm resources by SRAP-PCR were carried out. Results: The total 66 clear and repeatable polymorphic bands were obtained, and the polymorphic rate was up to 93%. The coefficient of genetic similarity among each species was calculated by using NTSYPC 2.1 software. The results indicated that the coefficient of genetic similarity of these materials ranged from 0.48 to 0.82. Conclusion: The 25 populations of C. lacryma-jobi could be clustered into four groups.

Objective To investigate the methods to cover the donor site of wrap around flap from toe. Methods In 34 cases, 8 thumbs reconstructed with wrap around flap from great toe, 8 thumbs and 14 fingers reconstructed with half nail flap from fibular side of second toe, and 4 fingers reconstructed with dorsal nail flap from second toe. The donor site were covered with pedicle flap (first metatarsal dorsal flap, second toe digital flap, neighbor flap from dorsal of second toe, and lateral tarsus flap) or free flap (medical plantar flap, fibular artery flap, and lateral tarsus flap). Results Twelve cases were followed up after 2 months, normal gait were found, 6 cases were followed up after 4 months, (4 cases for first metatarsal dorsal flap, one for fibular artery flap and one for internal volar flap). 2 cases recovered defend sensibility and showed a bit dark, the cases which reconstructed with medical plantar flap and second toe digital flap had nearly normal sensibility. The outward appearance of the donor site were chubbiness, flexible, and no complaint were found. Conclusion Covered the donor site of wrap around flap from toe with these flaps can avoid complications like pain and ulcerate, and have a satisfactory appearance.

Objective To explore the clinical, pathologic and immunohistochemical characteristics of gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST) and stromal tumor beyond the gastrointestinal tract. Methods Expression of CD117, CD34, SMA, Desmin and S-100 protein in 53GIST were detected using immunohistochemical S-P method, and then analyzed. Results Of 53 cases, 38 cases were detected as spindle type, 6 as epithelioid type and 9 as mixture type; 9 cases were benign,20 were borderline and 24 were malignant. Of the 9 benign cases, 8 originated in stomach, while only one originated in intestine and beyond the gastrointestinal tract. The rate of immunohistochemical expression was showed as follows: CD117 92.45% and CD34 77.36%. Conclusion GIST has its unique morphological characteristics. To detect CD117 and CD34 simultaneously may be helpful to the diagnosis. The malignant potential of stromal tumor in intestine and beyond the gastrointestinal tract is higher than that in stomach. The estimation of benignancy and malignancy depends on the site, the size and nuclei mitoses of the tumor.
