2.THE PHARMACOLOGICOL STUDY ABOUT ANTIDEPRESSANT EFFECTS OF THE 7903
Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 1986;0(04):-
The antidepressant effects of the N-Isosuccinyl-dichlorocinnamo-ylamide ( 7903 ) , an analogue of piperine, upon 5 animal models were studied. The 7903 was found to have antidepressant effects on the models with doses less than TD50. The 7903 with the single dose, which did not increase the spontaneous motor activity of animals, could significantly decrease the duration of immobility of mice and rats in the forced-swimming test and that of mice in the tail-suspension test. The duration of the longest permanent immobility indaced by cornea electro-stimulation in mice was also decreased with the chronic administration ( 2 weeks ) of the 7903. And the hypothermia induced by reserpine could be antagonized by the 7903.

Objective:To study the effect of hydrogen-rich saline on the prevention of liver mitochondrial injury induced by isch-emia-reperfusion (I/R) in rats. Methods:Male Sprague-Dawley rats (n=42) were randomly divided into three experimental groups (n=14), namely, sham-operated, I/R plus saline-treated (5 mL/kg, i.p.), and I/R plus hydrogen-rich saline-treated (5 mL/kg, i.p.) groups. Mi-tochondrial oxidative stress and functions, as well as morphologic changes in the mitochondria, were detected 180 min after reperfu-sion. Results:After I/R, mitochondrial swelling and vague cristae were observed. Mitochondrial functions were significantly decreased, but mitochondrial MDA and GSSH contents were increased by I/R. Hydrogen-rich saline reduced these markers, improved mitochondri-al ATP content and respiratory function, and relieved morphological mitochondrial injury (P<0.01). Conclusion:Hydrogen-rich saline attenuated I/R-induced liver mitochondrial damage and reduced mitochondrial oxidative stress.

Objective To analyze the features of hidden blood loss in the elderly femoral intertrochanteric fractures treated with extramedullary dynamic hip screw (DHS), intramedullary nails (Gamma 3, PFN) and hip arthroplasty (LBFH). Methods The clinicle records of 193 elderly patients (ages ≥75 year old) with femoral intertrochanteric fractures treat by DHS,Gamma3, PFNA and LBFH in our hospital were retrospectively analyzed. The estimated blood loss were calculated by Gross equation, according to the height, weight and changes of blood routine test reoperative and postoperative, the differences of hidden blood loss among DHS group,Gamma 3 group, PFN group and LBFH group were compared. Results Total blood loss in intramedullary nail groups were significantly higher than DHS group [(766 ± 83) mL],P < 0.05). No significant difference was found between PFN group [(887 ± 75) mL] and Gamma 3 group [(903 ± 91) mL] (P > 0.05), The hidden blood loss were significantly higher in the intramedullary nail groups than those in the LBFH group [(453 ± 98) mL,accounting 54%] and DHS group [(429 ± 59) mL,accounting 56%] (P < 0.05). No significant difference of hidden blood loss was found between Gamma 3 group [(742 ± 137) mL, accounting 82%] and PFN group [(711 ± 153) mL,accounting 80%], (P > 0.05). Conclusion Noteworthy, the hidden blood loss is major part of perioperative total blood loss in the elderly femoral intertrochanteric fractures , intramedullary fixations may result in greater hidden blood loss than extramedullary fixations and hip arthroplasty ,which may cause postoperative anemia.

Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 1987;0(03):-
The influences of the N -Isosuccinyl - dichloro - cinnamoylamide (7903) on the NA and 5 -HT systems in the brain were studied. Acute administration of 7903 could significantly enhance the level of NA and 5 -HT in mice brain and cortex of rats, and the level of 5 -HT in the hyporthalamus of rats was tending to be enhanced. However, chronic administration of 7903 (two weeks ) could decrease the level of NA and the ra-tio of 5-HIAA/5-HT in the cortex of rats; Chronic administration of 7903 could also decrease the turnover of NA and 5- HT in mice brain, but had no effects on the special binding of ? - receptor to 3-H - DHA and that of 5 -HT receptor to H - ketanserine in the cortex of rats.

Journal of Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2015;(4):637-640
Objective A retrospective study was carried out to investigate the survival rate of nasopharyngeal cancer patients after the combined treatment of chemoradiotherapy and Chinese herbal medicine. Methods Based on the will of the patients, 230 cases were divided into treatment group (N=107) and control group (N=123). Both groups received chemoradiotherapy, and the treatment group was additionally given oral use of Chinese herbal medicine over 180 doses per year, and the treatment lasted over 2 years. The survival rate was calculated by Kaplan-Meier estimator, and the Kaplan-Meier plot for the two groups was compared. Results (1) In the treatment group, the one-year, 3-year and 5-year survival rate was 99.1%, 86.4%, 72.5%, and was 95.9%, 73.5%, 58.3% respectively in the control group. The Kaplan-Meier plot showed that significant difference of patient survival was presented in the two groups ( P<0.01) . ( 2) The results of hierarchical group analysis of 230 nasopharyngeal cancer patients showed higher survival rate can be achieved in the T3-4 and N0 poorly-differentiated squamous carcinoma patients aged 50 years or more at the stage Ⅲ-Ⅳ in the treatment group than that in the control group, and the statistical differences were significant ( P<0.05 or P<0.01). Conclusion Chemoradiotherapy combined with Chinese herbal medicine can increase the survival rate, and prolong life span of the nasopharyngeal carcinoma patinets, in particular for the T3-4 and N0 poorly-differentiated squamous carcinoma patients aged 50 years or more at the stageⅢ-Ⅳ.
