1.A novel system for simultaneous monitoring of locomotor and sound activities in animals
Chinese Journal of Behavioral Medicine and Brain Science 2001;10(1):13-15
Objective To develop a PC-based system for simultaneous monitoring of locomotor and sound activities on small rodents. Methods The displacement and location signals of the animal were first determined across consecutive video-frames, followed by marked data reduction to cater for long-term studies. At the same time, sounds generated by the animal were detected and the sound level was recorded as root-mean-square values at 1-sec intervals. Results Preliminary data showed that such a multi-parametric monitor system could provide comprehensive information on the animal's activity. Conclusion It can be applied in many study field.
2.Non-invasive glucose measurement technologies and devices
International Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2008;31(4):222-226
This review describes the main technology for non-invasive glucose monitoring and introduces relevent devices. For technology, the physical principle underlying the techniques, the limitations, the measurement sites and their individual features are considered. For devices, the information listed are their approval condition (FDA Approval and/or CE Mark),the techniques adapted the manufacturer and the information available about the device on the internet. From what we reviewed, although some promising techniques and devices are already available, further efforts are still required to reach a satisfactory solution to the non-invasive glucose measurement problem.
3.Methods and devices for measuring arterial stiffness in humans
International Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2008;31(2):110-114
Atherosclerosis and arteriosclerosis are the common pathologic causes of such cardiovascular diseases as myocardial infarction, cerebral apoplexy, and so on.Early detecting the changes of artery's malfunction and proper treatment can effectively help to prevent those mortal diseases or slow down the its procedure. This review analyses currently used methods and devices evaluating the arterial stiffness.Three main methods and instruments which based upon analysis of pulse transit time, wave contour of the arterial pulse, and direct measurement of arterial geometry and pressure, which correspond to the evaluation of regional, local and systemic stiffness of body region are discussed. They are used in clinical laboratory and/or in clinical treatment particular attention is given to the reproducibility of each device.
4.Device for Endothelium Dysfunction Detection Based on Photoplethysmographic Method
Chinese Medical Equipment Journal 2004;0(07):-
Objective To evaluate endothelium dysfunction of arteries for early preventing atherosis. Methods A new portable device for detection of endothelium dysfunction by photoplethysmographic method was designed, which depended on the principle of reactive hyperaemia. Results Experiments between hypertensive and normotensive showed that different degree endothelium dysfunction had emerged among hypertensive. Conclusion The proposed device has potential benefit to research, diagnosis and therapy evaluation for subclinic arterial disease.

Objective To realize remote wireless data transmission in mobile monitoring terminal of pre-hospital first aid so as to enhance the effect of pre-hospital aid, guarantee the reliability and real-time state of data transmission in mobile monitoring terminal of pre-hospital first aid. Methods The software and hardware of the mobile monitoring terminal of pre-hospital first aid were designed. Then, according to the specialty of the data transmission and requirements of the bandwidth, the choice of wireless network and the transport layer protocol of data transmission were analyzed, and the technology approach fitting for the system were proposed. The protocols selected were PPP and TCP/IP based on ?C/OS-Ⅱ.Results Application tests showed that this approach could satisfy system's requirement. It could transmit patient's vital signs parameters to hospital's monitoring equipment exactly in real-time during pre-hospital first aid. Conclusion This design creates the condition for remote hospital guide, resources planning of patient's admission and analysis of illness state, which is feasible for application.

Objective To evaluate the efficacy of Alvenor on acute attack of hemorrhoids Methods We have enrolled 1?103 cases with acute attack of hemorrihoids from 29 hospitals in all over the country treated by Alvenor. Dosage was 1?500 mg twice daily for four days followed by 1?000 mg twice daily for 3 days Signs and symptoms of pain, bleeding, prolapse, edema, pruritus were scored at day 0, day 4 and day 7 Global treatment efficacy assessment was conducted by both the doctors and the patients themselves Statistical analysis was conducted Results Pain, bleeding, prolapse, edema, pruritus etc were significantly improved Conclusion Alvenor is effective in the treatment of patients with acute attack of hemorrhoids especially in relief of symptoms such as pain, bleeding, prolapse etc

Chinese Medical Equipment Journal 1989;0(04):-
Healthcare at home is accepted little by little with the development of medical service in the community. This paper introduces the design method of mobile ECG monitoring system terminal for healthcare at home. The adoption of active electrode and digital trap contributes to the elimination of the external interference. Low-power-consumption MSP430 micro-controller applied, the realtime acquisition, procession and transmission to PDA of ECG are performed.

Chinese Medical Equipment Journal 1993;0(06):-
This paper discusses some problems must be adverted in the design and application of the PA- series high power amplifier for example as the PA08 and the PA84. It focus in the power supply bypassing, overvoltage protection, current limiting, output protection and the engine installing problems as they are applied in the medical equipment output stage.

Chinese Medical Equipment Journal 2004;0(08):-
As a conventional alternative of intravenous infusion, intraosseous infusion becomes attractive again. This paper introduces a novel apparatus for intraosseous infusion. With precise location on the bone surface and self-designed depth control framework adopted, this apparatus can be applied to quick, simple and safe intraosseous infusion.

Chinese Medical Equipment Journal 1989;0(02):-
This paper introduces a novel animal behavior monitoring system, in which a acoustooptic shielded room, computer multimedia technology, image acquisition technology, signal analysis technology are involved. This system can implement long-term non-interference automatic monitoring of the experimental animal with features of accurate recording, complete and objective analysis, and convenient and effective statistics. Applied widely to the animal model for post -traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), the system is designed to be used for other biomedical studies.
