Seven sinapine analogs (6a-6g) were synthesized using cinnamon acid or benzoic acid and their derivatives as starting materials, which obtained from substituted benzaldehyde and malonate. The structures of target compounds were characterized by IR, 1H NMR and elemental analysis. The effects of compounds 6a-6g on the smooth muscle of intestine isolated from rabbit were studied, and the experimental results showed that compounds 6a, 6d and 6g had diastolic action, while 6f had contractile action.

Purpose:To study the effect of radiotherapy combined with chemotherapy on advanced esophageal cancer. Methods:124 cases of advanced esophageal cancer were treated from March 1990 to April 1995. Patients were divided into 2 groups, including simple irradiation group receiving conventional radiotherapy to a total of 65～70 Gy; combined group which received the same radiotherapy as simple irradiation group plus chemotherapy with DFP or DF regimen. Both groups were followed for 5 years. Results:The short term results of radiotherapy combined with chemotherapy was better than that of radiotherapy alone. AIM: To investigate the effect of relieving liver-qi recipes(Radix Bupleuri,Radix Paeoniae Alba,Fructus Aurantii,etc.) on the neuro reproductive endocrine in female rats under psychologic stress. METHODS: The psychologic stress induced syndrome of liver-qi stagnation in female rats was established by tail pinch.The hypothalamus pituitary and serum levels of NE,DA,5 HT,5-HIAA,DOPAC,HVA and the serum FSH,LH,E2,T,P,PRL in rats of any groups were measured. RESULTS: The levels of NE in hypothalamus pituitary and FSH,LH,E2,P in serum of model rats were lower and the contents of DA,5-HT,5-HIAA in hypothalamus pituitary and in serum and NE,T in serum were significantly higher than those of the normal control.The serum P and LH in the complex group were elevated.The descending NE in hypothalamus pituitary and FSH,E2 in serum increased and the ascended DA,5-HT,5-HIAA in hypothalamus pituitary and NE,5-HT,T in serum significantly descresed in the shugan group and the complex group.The enhance of NE in hypothalamus pituitary and FSH,P in serum and the reduction of 5-HT in hypothalamus pituitary and 5-HT,NE,T in serum were also obversed in the bushen group. CONCLUSION: Regulating liver-qi and tonifying the kidney recipes could improve the function of neuro reproductive endocrine system which could be attenuated or disturbed by psychologic stress.

Objective To observe the effect of memantine on NR1 ,NR2A ,NR2B of N‐methyl‐das‐partate receptor and learning or memory ability in vascular dementia (VaD) rats .Methods Thirty adult male SD rats were randomly divided into sham operation group ,VaD model group and me‐mantine treatment group (10 in each group) .A rat VaD model was established by permanent liga‐tion of bilateral common carotid arteries .Rats in memantine treatment group received gastric me‐mantine 10 mg/(kg · d) 1 week after operation while those in model group received normal sa‐line .Five weeks after operation ,their learning or memory ability was tested by Morris water maze test ,expressions of NR1 ,NR2A and NR2B were detected by Western blot .Results The escape latency was significantly longer whereas the percentage of target quadrant and expression levels of NR1 ,NR2A and NR2B were significantly lower in model group than in sham operation group (P=0 .001 ,P=0 .002 ,P<0 .05) .The learning or memory ability and the expression levels of NR1 ,NR2A and NR2B were significantly higher in memantine treatment group than in model group but still lower in memantine treatment group than in sham operation group ( P< 0 .05) . Conclusion Memantine can improve the learning or memory ability of VaD rats by upregulating the expression of NR1 ,NR2A and NR2B in their hippocampus .

Objective To investigate the expression characteristics of Golgi phosphoprotein 3(GOLPH3)in human hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC)and explore its clinicopathological significance. Methods The expressions of GOLPH3 protein was detected in 132 cases of paired paraf-fin embedded HCC specimens and pericarcinoma tissues using immunohistochemical staining ,and the relation of the expression of GOLPH3 to clinicopathologic features was analyzed. Meanwhile,the expression and distribution of GOLPH3 in HCC cells was observed by laser confocal mi-croscopy. Results The positive expression rates of GOLPH3 in HCC and pericarcinoma tissues were 70.0%(92/132)and 42.4%(56/132) (P<0.001),respectively. The incidence of portal vein tumor thrombus in high and low GOLPH3 expression groups of HCC were 21.2%(14/66) and 6.1%(4/66)(P<0.05),respectively. The expression rate of GOLPH3 in HCC was significantly higher than that in pericarcinoma tissues, and the expression of GOLPH3 in HCC was positively related to portal vein tumor thrombus. In addition ,GOLPH3 was mainly expressed in cyto-plasm of HCC cells,and there was also scattered distribution in the nucleus. Conclusion GOLPH3 acts as an oncogene and may play vital roles in the carcinogenesis and development of HCC.

Siderophores were produced and secreted with marine microorganisms as the highly specific iron chelators. A method of liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometric detection coupled with solid phase extraction pretreatment was developed for the determination of siderophores in seawater. The samples were filtered through a 0. 22 μm membrane, extracted with an ENVI-18 cartridge and then eluted with methanol. The separation of the analytes was performed on a reversed phase SB-C18 column with a gradient elution program by using 0. 1% ( V/V) formic acid and methanol as the mobile phases. Qualitative analysis was performed in multiple-reaction monitoring mode. Good linearity (R2>0. 99) was obtained for Pyoverdines-Fe, Ferrichrome, Ferrioxamine E at the concentrations of 0. 001-3. 00 μg/mL, 0. 005-15. 00 μg/mL, 0. 001-3. 00 μg/mL, respectively. The instrumental detection limits and limits of quantification for the three analytes were 0. 08, 1. 76 and 1. 36 ng/mL; 0. 27, 5. 87 and 4. 53 ng/mL, respectively. The relative standard deviations were lower than 12%, while the recoveries were 12. 1%-18. 6% for Pyoverdines-Fe, 82. 0%-97. 7% for Ferrichrome, and 70. 0%-98. 3% for Ferrioxamine E.

Objective To investigate the high risk factors,pathology and clinical features in fatal pulmonary embolism in the elderly patients with malignant tumor,and to analyze the characters of the embolus and provide experimental data for clinical prevention and treatment offatal pulmonary embolism.Methods Autopsy and clinical data of 19 malignancy cases with fatal pulmonary embolism admitted to Beijing Hospital from 1975 to 2006 were retrospectively analyzed.Results 33.9％ of total pulmonary embolism were from malignant diseases (19/56).Saddle and massive pulmonary embolism were in 84.2％ of total 19 cases,and micro-embolism cases were in only 15.8％.The 84.2％ of embolisms were from pulmonary thromboembolism,15.8％ from tumor emboli,and 5.26％ from fungi emboli.Pulmonary adenocarcinoma was the most common (36.5％),the second was pancreatic cancer (15.8％).In all the clinical symptoms,78.9％ of symptoms were dyspnea,15.8％ were syncope.Tachycardia and cyanosis were the common physical signs.Conclusions Malignant tumor is an important risk factor for pulmonary embolism in elderly patients.There are various kinds of emboli in pulmonary embolism in elderly patients with malignant tumor.We should comprehensively consider the causes of pulmonary embolism and give the reasonable and effective treatment to the patients.

AIM: To study the recombinant plasmid pDL121 and its expression product in E.coli. METHODS: pDL121 was analysed by using 6 different restriction endonucleases and dot blotting, and the isolated 23 kDa protein band was cut and injected twice into rabbits to raise anti - 23 kDa serum. RESULTS: The restriction map of pDL121 was quite different from other leptospiral genes reported and digoxin labeled recombinant DNA probe of pDL121 could detect the pathogenic leptospires, whereas, not the nonpathogenic leptospires. The anti - 23 kDa serum could recognize the sonicated antigen of L. interrogans serovar lai strain 017 and 23 kDa protein expressed in pDL121 and the titer of the antiserum were very high, approximately 1/12 800. Injection of the E. coli lysate of pDL121 with Freund's adjuvant into guinea pigs resulted in some protection of the animal against the challenge with strain 017. CONCLUSION: It indicated that 23 kDa protein had good imunogenicity and could serve as a candidate for protective antigen of L. interrogans and the inserted fragment of pDL121 could be a new gene .

Object To study the chemical constituents from the roots of Stellera chamaejasme L. Methods Chemical constituents were isolated by chromatographic methods and identified by physiochemical and spectral analysis. Results One lignan and three biflavonoids were purified and determined as bursehernin (Ⅰ), chamaejasmenin B (Ⅱ), isoneochamaejasmin A (Ⅲ),and (+)-chamaejasmin (Ⅳ). Conclusion Compound Ⅲ and Ⅳ are determined as new optical compounds. Compound I is first isolated from Stellera L. species.
