1.Study on histopathology of the mouse forestomach neoplasm inducd by B(a)P

Purpose:To explore the development change of histopathology of the mouse forestomach neoplasm inducd by B(a)P.Methods:A part of the mice were killed each four weeks after they were given benzo(a)pyrene (concentration 5mg/ml) by lavage for four weeks, twice per week. The histopathology of the forestomach was then observed.Results:Forestomach neoplasm was noticed from the 17~(th) week in the mice. Local gland hyperplasia, arrangement disorder gradually developing into glandular abnormality hyperplasia and then transformed into early stomach cancer and finally into aggressive stomach cancer could be observed.Conclusions:Latent period of the mouse forestomach neoplasm induced by B(a)P is about three months. The development course is atrophic gastritis, atypical hyperplasia and stomach cancer.[
2.Survey of Study on Rapid Determination of Acute Toxicity of Envirmmental Pollutants by Luminescent Bacteria

In order to find out the more applicable way in detecting the acute toxicity of environmental pollutants,the author described the luminescent bacteria toxicity (LBT) test on the basis of literature review.In the article,the principle,the current usage both in our country and abroad,and the perspective of LBT are discussed.The results showed that LBT has many advantages such as relative sensitivity,quickness,convenience,and cheapness,while there are some disadvantages such as poor reappearance and existence of some errors in testing.Along with the rapid development of modern equipment and photo electronic techniques in analysis field.The application LBT combined with GC,GC/MS and fluorescence,ultraviolet equipment,will provide a more promising perspective in developing accurate quantitative analysis of the acute toxicity of environment pollutants
3.Effect of Aluminium on Concentration of Intracellular Ca~(2+) in Hippocampus

Objective To explore the effect of aluminium on the concentration of intracellular Ca2+ in the hippocampus neurons of postnatal rat. Methods The hippocampus neurons of postnatal rats were primarily cultured and treated with Al3+ at doses of 0,10,100 and 1 000 ?mol/L. Fura-2-AM calcium ions fluorescence indicator was used to determine the concentration of the intracellular Ca2+ when they were cultured for 15 min,30 min and 45 min. Results The concentration of intracellular Ca2+ in the hippocampus neurons increased with the aluminum concentration increased and as the concentration of the aluminium was 1 000 ?mol/L,at the three cultured time points,the concentration of intracellular Ca2+ were (276.2?53.4) nmol/L,(306.5?73.7) nmol/L and (408.8?79.7) nmol/L respectively,significantly higher than the control group(P
4.The clinical efficacy of Xipayigingiva consolidation gargle for root canal flushing

Objective To explore the efficacy of Xipayigingiva consolidation gargle for root canal flushing. Methods 543 teeth in 543 patients with acute or chronic pulpitis or apical periodontitis who needed root canal treatmentwere divided into three groups by completely randomized design. The three groups wereXipayigingiva consolidation gargle group, hydrogen peroxide group, and sodium hypochlorite group. Conventional pulp chamber incision, pulpectomy and root canals preparation were used for the affected teeth. Three different rinsing solutions were applied to flush root canal. One week later , signs and symptoms were observed , and success rate was assessed in patients by comparing among the three groups. Results Regardless of duration of disease course and patients′ oral health situation, the success rate did not differ significantly among the three groups (P > 0.05). Conclusions Xipayi gingiva consolidation gargle has the same effect as sodium hypochlorite and hydrogen peroxide. It can be used as an alternative for flushing root canal.
5.The value of pedicled fat and capsule-packed nerve root in operation of sacral canal cysts

Objective To evaluate the value of pedicled fat and capsule-packed nerve root in operation of sacral canal cysts.Methods We collected the information of 14 cases of sacral canal cysts for operation in our department and analyzed the operation indications and skills as well as the prognosis.Results All the operations were performed with the help of the microscope and the electrophysiological monitor.The capsules were removed in 9 cases and wrapped in 6 cases,with the total resection rate of 64.3%.The clinical symptoms were improved markedly after the operation.Conclusion The operation with pedicled fat and the capsule-packed nerve root is valuable in treating sacral canal cysts because it can protect the nerve root and get lower recurrence rate.
6.Immunological study on sciatic nerve transplant tolerance induced by intrathymic injection of allogenic antigen

Objective:To investigate the effect of intrathymic injection of allogenic antigen to sciatic nerve transplantation.Methods:C57BL/6(H-2b) mice were used as donors and BALB/c(H-2d) as recipients. The recipients were divided into four groups: auto-transplantation group, allogenic transplantation group, allogenic transplantation and using immunosuppressive drugs,intrathymic injection group: 3 mol/L KCl MHC antigen extractions were injected into the recipients’ thymus before two weeks before the sciatic nerves were transplanted. In the third week all the recipients underwent immunological detections for IL-2R,TNF-?,mixed lymphocytes culture and apoptosis.Results:All the detections indicated that it was of significant difference between intrathymic injection group and those in allogenic transplantation group.Conclusion:The immunological rejection of allogenic peripheral nerve transplantation can be somewhat inhibited by intrathymic injection of allogenic MHC antigen.
7.Application of intraoperative nerve electrophysiological monitoring inlumbosacral spinal cord tumor resection

Objective To study intraoperative neural electrophysiological monitoring applied in lumbosacral spinal cord tumor resection.Methods We retrospectively reviewed the clinical data of 212 patients undergoing lumbosacral spinal cord tumor resection with or without intraoperative neural electrophysiological monitoring in our hospital.The patients were divided into two groups:124 patients in the monitored group received intraoperative neural electrophysiological monitoring while 88 ones in the control group did not.The monitoring was performed by recording the cortical somatosensory evoked potential (CSEP),dermatomal somatosensory evoked potential (DSEP) and electromyography (EMG).The patients were followed up for 3-6 months and their postoperative outcome was analyzed.Results There were significant differences in the outcome (P <0.05),but no difference was found in the incidence of complications between the monitored group and the control group.The sensitivity of CSEP +DSEP+EMG was 100%,and the specificity was 55.9% in the former group.Conclusion Combined monitoring with CSEP,DSEP and EMG during lumbosacral spinal cord tumor resection is valuable in protecting the spinal nerve roots and ensuring better operation safety.
8.Construction and identification of a lentiviral vector mediating RNA interference of tyrosine kinase B gene

Objective To construct a tyrosine kinase B(TrkB) targeted RNA interference (RNAi) lentiviral vector.Methods Four oligonucleotides targeting rat TrkB gene were synthesized and cloned into lentiviral vector pXZRNAi 1.0 to construct recombinant lentiviral vectors pXZRNAi-shTrkB-1,2,3,4.Neural stem cells prepared from rat hippocampus were infected with these high-titer viruses.Real-time PCR was employed to detect the TrkB mRNA expression and western blot was used to assess the gene silencing efficacy of these recombinants.Results Enzyme digestion and DNA sequencing results demonstrated that these shRNAs were correctly inserted into lentiviral vectors and the four recombinants were constructed successfully with the titer of 8.6 × 105cfu/ml.The infection efficiency of the letivirus on neural stem cells reached 80%.Compared with the uninfection group,the expression levels of TrkB mRNA in neural stem cells decreased significantly after transfected with pXZRNAi-shTrkB-3 and 4((66.7 ± 5.5) % and(76.8 ± 4.9) % respectively,P < 0.05) ; and the protein expression levels were also significantly decreased ((68.5 ± 4.3)% and (78.2 ± 5.1)% respectively,P < 0.05).Conclusion The lentiviral vectors for TrkB have been successfully constructed with high yield of lentivirus,which provides versatile method for assessing gene function in neural stem cells.
9.Clinical effects of Zero-P vs.traditional titanium plate for single level cervical spondylosis

ABSTRACT:Objective To compare the clinical effects of Zero-P and traditional titanium plate with cage in treating single level cervical spondylosis.Methods We retrospectively analyzed the clinical data of 28 patients with single level cervical spondylosis who underwent anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF)by traditional titanium plate with cage (group A,n=16)or Zero-P implant (group B,n=16)in our department between January 2012 and January 2014.The intraoperative blood loss,operation time,postoperative JOA scores,JOA recovery rate,NDI scores,and dysphagia incidence in both groups were measured and compared.The changes of the midpoint interbody height (IBH),the cervical Cobb angle of the surgical segment and the cervical Cobb angle of C2 and C7 vertebral body were measured on the standing lateral cervical spine X-ray.Results The operation time was significantly longer in group A than in group B (P < 0 .0 1 ), but there were no significant differences in intraoperative blood loss between the two groups (P>0 .0 5 ).The incidence of dysphagia was lower in group B than in group A.The two groups did not significantly differ in JOA score or JOA improvement rate during the same period after operation (P>0.05).The NDI score in group B was significantly lower than that in group A (P<0 .0 5 )at 1 month and 6 months after operation,but showed no significant difference in preoperative and 1 2 months after operation (P>0 .0 5 ).The midpoint interbody height in group B was significantly greater than that in group A (P<0 .0 5 )1 2 months after operation,but showed no significant difference one month after operation.The cervical Cobb angle of the surgical segment was significantly greater in group B than in group A (P<0 .0 5 )after operation, but there was no significant difference in cervical Cobb angle of C2 and C7 vertebral body between the two groups at various time points (P>0.05).Conclusion Zero-p and traditional titanium plate with cage have similar effects in treating single level cervical spondylotic myelopathy,and Zero-P system has the advantages of lower incidence of dysphagia after operation,shorter operation time and better recovery of postoperative cervical physiological structure.
10.Comparison of the modified expanding suspended laminoplasty and posterior pedicle screw fixation for lumbar intraspinal tumors

Objective To compare the modified expanding suspended laminoplasty and posterior pedicle screw fixation applied in lumbar intraspinal tumors and evaluate operation,complications,postoperative neurofunctional improvement and lumbar lumbar stability in the two groups.Methods We made a retrospective analysis of the clinical data of 1 14 cases of lumbar intraspinal tumors, including 66 cases of modified expanding suspended laminoplasty and 48 cases of posterior pedicle screw fixation.We compared the operation time,operation bleeding volume,and incidence of postoperative cerebrospinal fluid leakage in the two groups.We also analyzed the lumbar instability and spinal cord injury score standard by the Japanese Orthopedic Association (JOA)between the two groups at 3,6, 12,and 24 months after operation.Results The results of modified expanding suspended laminoplasty group were significantly better than those of posterior pedicle screw fixation group in operation time, operation bleeding volume and incidence of postoperative cerebrospinal fluid leakage (P < 0.01 ).The lumbar instability did not significantly differ between the two groups (P >0.05).At 3,6 or 12 months after the operation, changes in the increase of JOA score of the two groups had no significant difference (P > 0.05 ).However,24 mouths after the operation,the group of posterior pedicle screw fixation had significantly improved JOA score compared with that in the modified expanding suspended laminoplasty group.Conclusion Both the modified expanding suspended laminoplasty and posterior pedicle screw fixation have a favorable outcome of postoperative lumbar instability and neurofunction.And posterior pedicle screw fixation is superior to modified expanding suspended laminoplasty in improving neurofunction.
