As a new type of production factor that can empower the development of new quality productivity, the data element is an important engine to promote the high quality development of the industry. Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) dispensing is the most basic work of TCM clinical pharmacy, and its quality directly affects the clinical efficacy of TCM. The integration of data elements and TCM dispensing can stimulate the innovation and vitality of the TCM dispensing industry and promote the high-quality and sustainable development of the industry. A large-scale, detailed, and systematic study on TCM dispensing was conducted. The innovative practice path of data fusion construction in the whole process of TCM dispensing was investigated by integrating the digital resources "nine full activities" of TCM dispensing, creating the digital dictionary of "TCM clinical information data elements", and exploring innovative applications of TCM dispensing driven by data and technology, so as to promote the standardized, digital, and intelligent development of TCM dispensing in medical health services. The research content of this project was successfully selected as the second batch of "Data element×" typical cases of National Data Administration in 2024, which is the only selected case in the field of TCM.

Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2025;42(4):863-870
Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide. Radiation pneumonitis is a major complication in lung cancer radiotherapy. Four-dimensional computed tomography (4DCT) imaging provides dynamic ventilation information, which is valuable for lung function assessment and radiation pneumonitis prevention. Many methods have been developed to calculate lung ventilation from 4DCT, but a systematic comparison is lacking. Prediction of radiation pneumonitis using 4DCT-based ventilation is still in an early stage, and no comprehensive review exists. This paper presented the first systematic comparison of functional lung ventilation algorithms based on 4DCT over the past 15 years, highlighting their clinical value and limitations. It then reviewed multimodal approaches combining 4DCT ventilation imaging, dose metrics, and clinical data for radiation pneumonitis prediction. Finally, it summarized current research and future directions of 4DCT in lung cancer radiotherapy, offering insights for clinical practice and further studies.

Nonobstructive azoospermia (NOA), one of the most severe types of male infertility, etiology often remains unclear in most cases. Therefore, this study aimed to detect four biallelic detrimental variants (0.5%) in the minichromosome maintenance domain containing 2 ( MCMDC2 ) genes in 768 NOA patients by whole-exome sequencing (WES). Hematoxylin and eosin (H&E) demonstrated that MCMDC2 deleterious variants caused meiotic arrest in three patients (c.1360G>T, c.1956G>T, and c.685C>T) and hypospermatogenesis in one patient (c.94G>T), as further confirmed through immunofluorescence (IF) staining. The single-cell RNA sequencing data indicated that MCMDC2 was substantially expressed during spermatogenesis. The variants were confirmed as deleterious and responsible for patient infertility through bioinformatics and in vitro experimental analyses. The results revealed four MCMDC2 variants related to NOA, which contributes to the current perception of the function of MCMDC2 in male fertility and presents new perspectives on the genetic etiology of NOA.

Objective To summarize and statistically analyze the automatic monitoring data of environmental gamma dose rates in Beijing, 2020-2024, identify the main influencing factors of the monitoring data, and inform management decisions and public services. Methods A statistical analysis was performed using data collected from national automatic radiation environment monitoring stations. Results For five environmental monitoring stations, the annual mean gamma dose rates from 2020 to 2024 ranged from 60.9 to 90.3 nGy/h. The overall annual mean was 71.4 nGy/h, with a standard deviation of 11.3 nGy/h. All values were within the range of statistical fluctuations of the local natural background radiation. The gamma dose rates of monitoring stations followed the order of E > A > D > B > C. Conclusion The gamma radiation levels at all monitoring stations were stable, and the monitoring results were closely related to their surrounding environments.

The cdc73(cell division cycle 73)gene encodes the RNA polymerase Ⅱ cofactor Cdc73 in fis-sion yeast(Schizosaccharomyces Pombe),and is involved in G2 checkpoint activation and regulates the cell cycle. However, whether Cdc73 regulates cell mitotic dynamics is unknown. In this study,fluores-cent protein labeling and live cell imaging techniques were used to investigate the effects of cdc73 deletion on sexual reproduction and the dynamics of microtubules, actin, mitochondria, and histones during mito-sis.The results showed that in sexual reproduction,cdc73 deletion resulted in a 14.23%increase in the length of ascospores and a 64.08%decrease in the number of cells producing four spores.Analysis of the live cell imaging results revealed that,in mitosis, the elongation length of microtubules in anaphase was shortened by 11.21%,and the elongation time was reduced by 17.39%;the formation and contraction rates of actin rings decreased by 33.33%and 26.09%,respectively,and the formation and contraction times were prolonged by 58.00%and 40.38%,respectively.Meanwhile,the expression levels of actin ring, mitochondrion, and histones also increased. This study revealed the cdc73 deletion inhibits spindle elongation and delays actin ring formation and contraction in mitosis, which provides some scientific basis for further exploring the involvement of Cdc73 in regulating microtubule and actin dynamics in cell divi-sion.

Journal of Chinese Physician 2024;26(9):1374-1378
Objective:To explore the effect of different treatment methods on the survival time of patients with ovarian metastasis of digestive tract malignant tumors. Methods:A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 159 patients with gastrointestinal malignant tumors and ovarian metastases admitted to Hunan Cancer Hospital from 2008 to 2018. They were divided into 5 groups according to different treatment methods. Group A (94 cases): Total resection of primary and metastatic lesions+ chemotherapy; Group B (13 cases): Primary lesion resection+ chemotherapy; Group C (12 cases): Only metastatic lesions were removed; Group D (17 cases): Resection of metastatic lesions+ chemotherapy; Group E (23 cases): Both the primary and metastatic lesions were not removed, and chemotherapy was used alone. A survival curve was plotted using R language and Kaplan Meier method, and the impact of different treatment methods on patient survival time was analyzed. Results:Among the 159 patients, the average survival time of patients in groups A, B, C, D, and E was 26.6, 23, 17.3, 20.3, and 16 months, respectively. Compared with groups E, C+ D, and B, the survival time of the group A was extended by 10.6( P=0.018), 9.3( P=0.013), and 3.3( P=0.003 1)months, respectively, while there was no statistically significant difference between the other groups (all P>0.05). Conclusions:Patients who undergo surgery to simultaneously remove both primary and metastatic lesions and receive chemotherapy have significantly longer survival times, while patients who only remove metastatic lesions and receive chemotherapy have slightly longer survival times. Not undergoing surgery or only removing metastatic lesions or primary lesions does not help prolong patient survival times.
