1.A Case of Ascending Aorta Replacement for Chronic Aortic Dissection by Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery

The number of surgical treatments for acute aortic dissection in octogenarians is increasing. They should return to their daily life as soon as possible after the operation without any complications. Some literature reported that minimally invasive cardiac surgery (MICS) helps quick recovery for the patients. We report a case of minimally invasive ascending aorta replacement for Stanford type A chronic thrombosed aortic dissection in an octogenarian to help quick recovery. An 81-year-old man was admitted in our hospital suffering from chest and back pain. Enhanced CT scan showed Stanford type A acute thrombosed aortic dissection. The diameter of ascending aorta was 45 mm and the diameter of false lumen was 7 mm. Therefore we decided on medical treatment for this patient according to the guideline. After four weeks medical treatment, ascending aorta was dilated to 49 mm and the false lumen also expanded to 9 mm. He underwent minimally invasive ascending aorta replacement to help quick recovery considering his age. He was discharged 11 days postoperatively without any complications. MICS offers a better cosmetic result, less blood loss, less pain, better respiratory function and quick recovery. Thus, minimally invasive operation for the elderly is also very satisfactory.
2.PERSONAL SPACE PERCEPTION IN HUMAN ELBOW JOINT

In order to examine the personal space perception, measurements were conducted on both elbows in 14 men and 46 women. Each subject, with his (or her) eyes closed and with his upper arm fixed horizontally, was instructed to stop the vertical and horizontal swing motion of his lower arm at the point he considered to be the middle of the range of possible motion on the front and side of plane at his shoulder, and this was repeated ten times. In various conditions, similar measurements were also done to study factors affecting the personal space perception in 14 men.
Mean values of bisected angles in percentage against range of motion were deviated from the middle points in the direction of the elbow extension, although there were large differences between the individuals. The deviation was smallest in the vertical. side of plane, and was larger in the horizontal plane than that in the vertical plane. The deviation was not so much affected by the various conditions.
It was suggested that the gain of the personal space perception is higher in the elbow extension than in the elbow flexion and its difference is larger in the horizontal plane than in vertical plane of the human elbow joint.
3.Ongoing rubella epidemic in Osaka, Japan, in 2018–2019

Abstract
A large rubella epidemic is currently ongoing since 2018 in Osaka, Japan. The detected rubella viruses were classified into genotypes 1E lineage 2 and 2B lineage 1. These strains may have been imported from endemic countries, and these viruses spread within the susceptible population.
