1.Quick diagnosis of japanese encephalitis by MAC-ELISA technique
Journal of Practical Medicine 2004;481(6):5-6
On 138 serum samples taken in the first 7 days of acute syndrome of brain, by MAC-ELISA technique 95 samples were determined as positive, 68.84% was positive. 43 samples taken in the first 7 days of the disease there was no detected antivirus IgM antibody but this could not concluded as negative, but may be a late antibody response or may be another cause of acute brain syndrome. For assuring the accuracy of the diagnosis, the samples taken in the first 7 days of the disease must be taken again after 7 day to verify the results.

2.The results of long-term monitoring 149 patients with gastric cancer received the radical total gastrectomy
Journal of Practical Medicine 2002;430(9):39-44
Studying was performed on the 149 patients with gastric epithelia glandular cancer received a radical total gastrectomy in the Army Central Hospital No 108 during 1/1/1994 - 1/1/2000. The results has shown that the survival rate within 1,2,3,4,5 years from operations for group connected with omega were 76,36%; 60%; 40%; 27,27%; 25,45%, 53,7% and 46%, respectively. There is a significant different between the survival rates of patients with the tumors T3 and T4. There is no different of the survival rate between levels of the glandular metastasis N2 and N3 and between the third phase and the fourth phase.

3.The surgical accident and complication of the total gastrectomy to treat the gastric cancer.
Journal of Practical Medicine 2002;430(9):33-37
149 patients with gastric epithelioglandular cancer were operated for the total gastrectomy in the Army Central Hospital No 108 from 1/1994 to 1/200 (male: 86; female: 63), average ages: 50, divided 2 groups according to the 2 methods of the different digestive circulation recovering. The results have shown that the rate of the tumors in the determined positions as vertical axis and perimeter of stomach the average size of the tumor, the average duration of operation and the rate of accidents were not different between two groups. The average rate of accident during operation was 6,7%, the rate of surgical complication was 18,1%.There was no death.

4.Study on ultrasonic pachymetry on eyes
Journal of Practical Medicine 2002;435(11):18-20
Ultrasonic pachymetry was carried out in 300 eyes of normal, myopic, and senile cataract patients with Alcon Surgical Pachymeter. The mean central corneal thickness was 0.527mm+/- 0.034mm. Corneal thickness wa significantly correlated with age, axial length, and sex. No statistical correlation was found between corneal thickness and the right or left eyes, corneal curvature, and ocular tention (within normal range). Pachymetric results were consistent if a good applanation of the probe occurred. Thus, reliable data could only be obtained by skilled user.

5.The esophageal mucosal lesion after total gastrectomy, recovering the digestive function as type omega and corrective lygidakis.
Journal of Practical Medicine 2002;435(11):48-52
119 patient with the peptic cancer received the total gastrectomy, participated to a study after 6-12 months of operation, were recovered the digestive functions as 2 different methods. The results of esophageal endoscopy and biosy only allowed to determine the levels of lesion but not allow affirm that these lesions due to reflu. However, there were the close relation between the general picture according to the description of boyce and microscopic picture according to the description of Beigi I with the clinical symptoms of the reflux esophagitis. Therefore, they also can be used as a standard of diagnosis. The method of the digestive functional recovering by making the distribution bag DD type Lygidakis showed the obvious efficacy in the limitation of the esophageal mucosal lesion due to the postoperative reflux

6.Serum insulin levels in newly diagnosed type II diabetics during emergency care
Journal of Practical Medicine 1998;344(1):26-28
Purpose of this study was to measure the serum insulin level in 23 newly diagnosed type II diabetics during acute stress. Diagnosis of diabetes was based on the criteria recommended by WHO in 1986 and the serum fructosamine level more than 290 mol/L. Method: Patients were measured the insulin level on venous blood samples by ELISA method with Roche’s reagent and ES-33 apparatus. Turner’s equation was applied to evaluate the relationship between serum insulin and glucose level and to assess the insulin resistance (reference range is 0-30 and a value >50 was considered the insulin resistance). Result: The mean serum insulin level of the studied patients was 35.55.5 U/mL, with the values ranged from 5.97 to 131.34 U/mL. Out of 23 patients, only 3 (13%) had serum insulin levels in a normal range (i.e. in a reference interval of 3.68-7.67U/mL). 20 patients (83%) had higher insulin levels than reference. Assessing the insulin resistance by Turner’s equation showed that only 2 of 23 patients (8.6%) had a normal ratio (i.e. less than 50), almost patients in this study (21/23; 91.4%) were more than 50 in ratio, suggested an evident insulin resistance. Especially, 10/23 patients (43.8%) reached a value of more than 100, indicated the severe hyperinsulinemia. Conclusion: 83% of our patients with newly diagnosed type II diabetes showed the hyperinsulinemia during acute stress. Almost these patients (more than 90%) presented the strong evidence of insulin resistance.

7.Primarily results of the application of test hemoglobin A1c (HBA1C) in the clinical diagnosis and treatment of the diabetes mellitus
Journal of Practical Medicine 2000;392(12):42-44
A study on the 55 patients (27 patients with diabetes mellitus and 28 patients with the suspecting of diabetes mellitus) in the hematology and blood transfusion department of friendship hospital was carried out. The patients received the quantitative analysis of HbA1C by Diastat. The relation of HbA1C with glycemia was evaluated. The results were reported that the rate of patients with the high concentration of HbA1C is valuable. There was a direct correlation between HbA1C and glycemia in the most of patients.

10.The protecting effect on liver of Vietnam’s Linh chi mushroom (ganoderma lucidum) on rat suffering from expreimental liver function failure
Journal of Medical Research 2003;24(4):29-34
On white rats, high doses of paracetanol (2g/kg of body mass) and carbonetetrachloride (CCl4 –1.4ml/kg body mass administrated orally) increased dramatically serum transaminase AST and ALT, reduced liver capacity of cholesterol and total protein synthetizations. Granulous degeneration, lipid degeneration and necrosis focus were observed pathohistologically. Linh chi mushroom fluid extracts with the dose of 4g/kg of body mass reversed these biochemical indicators and restored nearly normally the damaged tissues. Similar results were obtained with the oral dose of 25mg Silimarin brand name preparation/kg body mass.
