Objective To understand the risk factors of the elderly in community of Haining city in patients with Alzheimer's disease.Methods Take the elderly Chang street Haining city selected cluster sampling method 7 437 ≥60 years as the research subjects,by using a self-designed questionnaire Alzheimer's disease causes and clinical dementia rating scale,understanding the factors that may affect Alzheimer's disease and aggravating factors,and the data of multi factor regression analysis.Results Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that women (Wald x2 =19.96,P ＜ 0.01),aged (Wald x2 =96.01,P ＜ 0.01),widowed (Wald x2 =5.09,P ＜ 0.05),smoking/drinking (Wald x2 =47.77,P ＜ 0.01),living alone (Wald x2 =16.14,P ＜ 0.01),depression (Wald x2 =12.05,P ＜ 0.01) were the risk factors of Alzheimer's disease; Rural (Wald x2 =458.11,P ＜ 0.01) ; Lowculture (Wald x2 =121.39,P ＜0.01) were protective factors for Alzheimer's disease.According to the clinical dementia rating scale of disease severity assessment and pathogenesis of polytomous Logistic regression,the results showed that the elderly (Wald x2 =50.37,P ＜ 0.01),lowculture (Wald x2 =30.39,P ＜ 0.01),widowed (Wald x2 =5.20,P ＜ 0.05),living alone (Wald x2 =16.50,P ＜ 0.01),somatic diseases (Wald x2 =16.58,P ＜ 0.01) and large maternal age (Wald x2 =10.53,P ＜ 0.01) were risk factors for disease.Conclusion Age,widowed,solitude are common risk factors of Alzheimer's disease and aggravating factors,should be combined with risk factors for chronic disease management actively take measures to prevent and delay the occurrence,the development of Alzheimer's disease.

Objective To study the change and clinical significance of serum sex hormone levels in patients with Alzheimer's disease(AD).Methods The 1:1 case-control study,male AD group in 25 cases,control group in 25 cases,female AD group in 25 cases,25 cases in the control group.The serum sex hormone levels were measured by chemiluminescence immtmoassay in the two groups,and the data were analyzed.Results There was statistically significant difference in estradiol level between female patients and the control group[(40.820 ± 23.249) pmol/L vs.(153.700 ±113.900) pmol/L,t =4.85,P ＜ 0.001].There were statistically significant differences between male patients and the control group,in estradiol[(99.243 ± 34.657) pmol/L vs.(124.t00 ± 38.432) pmool/L],testosterone [(7.904 ±3.944) nmol/L vs.(19.142 ±7.882) nmol/L] levels (t =2.40,6.37,all P ＜0.05).No significant difference was observed in testosterone level in the female groups (P ＞ 0.05).The promoting follicle stimulating hormone and luteinizing hormone,progesterone,prolactin levels between the male group and female group had no statistically significant differences (all P ＞ 0.05).In patients with simple intelligent screening scale (Mini-Mental State Examination,MMSE),the score was significantly correlated with the level of estradiol (r =-0.281,P ＜ 0.05).Conclusion The level of women's estrogen decline is related to factor in the pathogenesis of AD,estradiol,testosterone levels of male decline is related to factor in the pathogenesis of AD.Estradiol level is low,the severity of the disease moreand more heavy.

BackgroundGender and age differences in the clinical manifestations of patients with bipolar disorder can affect the clinical diagnosis and treatment process. The current treatment effect of bipolar disorder in adolescents is not ideal， which has become the main reason for disability during the learning period. ObjectiveTo analyze the clinical features and medication therapy status of bipolar disorder in adolescents， and to provide references to support for personalized diagnosis and treatment. MethodsOn January 16， 2023， 1 169 patients with bipolar disorder who were hospitalized at Beijing Anding Hospital Affiliated Capital Medical University from January 1， 2014 to December 31， 2017 were retrospectively enrolled. Medical records were collected and analyzed to compare the clinical features among patients of different gender and age groups， and to explore the differences in medication use among patients of different genders in different types of seizures. ResultsMale patients reported a larger proportion of manic episodes， and a smaller proportion of depressive episodes than female patients （P<0.05）.Female patients reported a larger proportion of non-suicidal self-harm behaviors than male patients （χ²=7.761， P<0.01）.And patients in low-age group featured a larger proportion of mixed seizures， impulsive behaviors and family history of bipolar disorders along with a smaller proportion of manic episodes than those in high-age group （P<0.05 or 0.01）. High-age group had a longer average length of hospital stay than low-age group （t=-2.930， P<0.01）. In manic episode patients， males were found to have a larger proportion of valproate and atypical antipsychotic drug administration than females （P<0.01）. Among atypical antipsychotic drugs， males accounted for a larger proportion of administration of risperidone and olanzapine （χ²=26.957） than females （P<0.05 or 0.01）， while females constituted a larger proportion of administration of quetiapine （χ²=14.865） and aripiprazole than males （P<0.01）. In depressive episode patients， females had a larger proportion of administration of olanzapine than males （P<0.01）. In patients with mixed seizures， females occupied a larger proportion of administration of lithium carbonate than males （χ²=9.253， P<0.01）， and males exhibited a larger proportion of administration of valproate than females （P<0.05）. ConclusionDifferences have been shown in diagnostic classification and concomitant symptoms among adolescent bipolar disorder of different genders and ages. OBJECTIVETo develop a high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) method for the simultaneous determination of rutin, hyperoside, isoquercetin, astragulin, quercetin, and kaempferol in Apocynum venetum and its extracts.

METHODThe separation was carried out on a Shim pack ODS (4.6 mm x 250 mm, 5 microm) colum eluted with in mobile phases of water containing 0.2% phosphoric acid and acetonitrile containing 0.2% phosphoric acid in acetonitrile gradient mode. The column temperature was 40 degrees C, and the flow rate was 1.0 mL x min(-1). The detection wavelength was set at 360 nm.

RESULTThe good seperation of six flavonoids was achieved within 40 min, with the relative standard deviations (RSD) of intra- and inter-day precision < or = 2.0%. Calibration curves of rutin, hyperoside, isoquercetin, astragulin, quercetin, and kaempferol showed good linear relationship (R2 > 0.999 7, n = 6). The average recoveries of the six flavonoids were within 97.30% - 105.8% (RSD 2.6%). Three batches of A. venetum and 2 batches of its extracts were determined.

CONCLUSIONThe developed method is simple, accurate, and repeatable, and can be readily used as a powerful tool for the quality control of A. venetum and its extracts.

We sought to identify the differences between adolescents left behind in their home villages/towns (LBA) and non-left behind adolescents (NLB) on subjective well-being and family functioning due to parental migration in south China. We used a stratified cluster sampling method to recruit middle school students in a city experiencing population-emigration in Jiangxi Province in 2010. Participants included adolescents from families with: (1) one migrant parent, (2) both parents who migrated, or (3) non-left behind adolescents (i.e., no migrant parent). To determine predictors of subjective well-being, we used structural equation models. Adolescents left behind by both parents (LBB) were less likely to express life satisfaction (P = 0.038) in terms of their environments (P = 0.011) compared with NLB. A parent or parents who migrated predicts lower subjective well-being of adolescents (P = 0.051) and also lower academic performance. Being apart from their parents may affect family functioning negatively from an adolescent's viewpoint. Given the hundreds of millions of persons in China, many who are parents, migrating for work, there may be mental health challenges in some of the adolescents left behind.
