1.Analysis On issues of academic standard in cover letters from affliated medical institutes of university
Chinese Journal of Medical Science Research Management 2008;21(5):266-268
The cover letters from 123 affiliated medical institutes in 57 Universities were selected. The departments giving cover letters or signing and the contents of academic standard in the cover letters were summarized and analyzed. It found that the departments were not unified and the contents of the academic standard were little. The same standard was deficient about violation of the academic standard in manuscripts. In this paper it was proposed that the Universities should make standard for the cover letters from their affiliated medical institutes. It could decrease the violation of the academic standard.
2.Two Conformations of Native Pseudomonas aeruginosa Apoazurin in Solution
Progress in Biochemistry and Biophysics 2006;33(6):567-573
The mechanism of complex unfolding process of Pseudomonas aeruginosa apoazurin is an arguing problem. Recent published results indicated that this problem could be resolved by hypothesizing two native conformations coexisting in solution.Urea-induced unfolding of apoazurin was investigated further using intrinsinc fluorescence and CD spectra. Equilibrium unfolding curves in urea could be depicted with an apparent two-state transition, but a biphase kinetic process. The fast unfolding process is finished within a few seconds as monitored by stopped-flow fluorescence intensity, whereas the slow process requires several hours for as well as the circular dichroism spectra just after manual mixing of protein and denaturant could be simulated by superposition of the spectra of the native and fully unfolded protein with the same coefficient of 0.37. This strongly suggests the three-state mechanism with a partially unfolded intermediate on its pathway is inadequate. The hypothesis of two native conformations coexistence is a reasonable selection.
3.Effects of safflower oil on adipose-associated gene expression in mice
Chinese Journal of Endocrinology and Metabolism 2012;28(1):76-78
Seventy C57BL/6 mice were divided into control group, lard group, lard transferred into safflower oil group, and safflower oil group. After 20 weeks, the white adipose tissues were taken to analyse the gene differentiational expression prolife. The results showed that body weight, blood glucose and lipids, and insulin levels in lard group were higher than those in control group( all P<0.05 ),which were decreased after lard was transferred into safflower oil for 10 weeks( all P<0.05 ).Safflower oil regulated some of the orexigenic genes, anorectic genes, and the genes involved in energy expenditure in adipose tissues such as opioid receptor, glucagon, and PPARα.
4.SOX1 and tumor
Journal of International Oncology 2013;40(8):566-569
SOX1,a member of the SOX transcript factor super family, has been demonstrated having the functions of regulating the development of human embryonic neural system and crystalline lens, and the additional function of SOX1 in tumors are attracting more and more attention as well.It is reported in resent years that SOX1 is detected lowly expressed in many kinds of tumor issues, which owns to the methylation of SOX1.SOX1 can also regulate the abilities of tumors on proliferation, invasion and migration.Besides,SOX1 may play a crucial role in regulation of the differentiation of cancer stem cells.Further research of SOX1 and its function among related pathways may contribute to seeking for new therapies for tumor treatment.
5.Clinical research of the self-made subcutaneous negative pressure drainage tube to prevent postoperative incision infection of elderly patients with obstructive colorectal cancer
Chinese Journal of Postgraduates of Medicine 2009;32(32):14-16
Objective To investigate the means which can prevent postoperative incision infection of elderly patients with obstructive colorectal cancer. Methods Sixty-seven cases of elderly patients with obstructive colorectal cancer adopting surgical treatment were divided into two groups, including experimental group with 37 cases and control group with 30 cases. Put self-made negative pressure drainage tube with side-hole into subcutaneous interspace of abdominal incision of experimental group alter operation, kept continuous negative pressure drainage 7-10 d and pull out the self-made subcutaneous negative pressure drainage tubes till drainage volume decreased obviously. The abdominal wall incisions of the control group were given conventional suture. Results Incision infection occurred in only one case (2.7%) and no incision dehiscence occurred in the experimental group, and incision healing time was (9.36 ± 2.18) d. Incision infection occurred in 7 cases (23.3%) in the control group, of which there were 3 cases (10.0%) of wound dehiscence, incision healing time was (12.25 ±4.06) d. Incision infection rate of the two groups had significant difference (χ2= 6.706,P < 0.05), incision dehiscence rate of the two groups had no significant difference (P 0.05), incision healing time of the two groups had significant difference (t = 6.676, P < 0.05). Conclusion Using the self-made subcutaneous negative pressure drainage tube and keeping it continuous negative pressure drainage after operation can be effective in preventing incision infection of elderly patients with obstructive colorectal cancer, and promote wound healing.
6.Influence of self nursing education on the therapeutic compliance and life quality of patients with infectious tuberculosis
Chinese Journal of Practical Nursing 2008;24(18):16-18
Objective We discussed the application and clinical effect of serf nursing education in patients with infectious tuberculosis. Methods We divided 140 patients with infectious tuberculosis into the test group and the control group with 70 cases in each group. The control group adopted health education. The test group received individual and selective self nursing education, including serf mastering of tuberculosis, self monitoring of illness, completion of ther therapeutic process by oneself, serf management of diet, self regulation andf control of motion and education of self nursing technique. The intervention continued for 3 months. Pulmonary tuberculosis specific knowledge inventory, therapeutic compliance investigation inventory and general questionnaire on living (GQOL) were adopted in the two groups and the results were compared. Results The therapeutic compliance and life quality of the test group were evidently higher than those of the control group after self nursing education (P<0.01). The mastering of tuberculosis knowledge of the test group was also superior than that of the control group (P<0.01). Conclusions Self nursing education could increase the therapeutic compliance as well as the life quality of patients.

The goal of hospital information system construction is to establish a comprehensive, safe and stable information network.A new or relocated hospital is redesigned and has overall layout, which facilitates achieving the objective of information system construction. The authors introduce the architecture and construction of information network in the process of hospitaI relocation. The important points of information coverage at different functional areas are determined, including the key business area,non-key business area, server area, radiological area, and other functional areas, which may improve the effectiveness of the investment. At the same time, the possibility of large area information system paralysis due to network fault is minimized to ensure the security of information system.
8.Fatty acid-binding proteins and the early diagnosis of cardio-cerebrovascular diseases
International Journal of Cerebrovascular Diseases 2010;18(2):128-131
Currently, the commonly used diagnostic markers have the shortcomings of lower sensitivity or specificity in the early diagnosis of cardio-cerebrovascular diseases. Therefore, it needs to use the novel specific biochemical markers for the early diagnosis arid treatment, so as to decrease the high mortality and disability caused by cardio-cerebrovascular events. Fatty acid-binding proteins (FABPs) are a family of low-molecular-weight intracellular lipid-binding proteins. They are divided into 9 different subtypes, including the liver-, intestinal-, heart-, brain-, adipocyte-, skin-, ileal-, myelin-, and testis-subtype. Their primary function is to transport long-chain fatty acids into the cells, and thus regulate intracellular lipid metabolism. The structures of all FABP subtypes are similar, inclusive of two α2 helices arid one β2 fold structure. Among them, the sensitivities and specificities of the heart- and brain-subtype FABPs are higher in the early diagnosis of cardio-cerebrovascular diseases. It is promising to become the novel markers in the early diagnosis of cardio-cerebrovascular diseases.
9.Spectral Reconstruction and Quantitative Analysis by B-Spline Transformations and Penalized Partial Least Squares Approach
Chinese Journal of Analytical Chemistry 2009;37(12):1820-1824
Taking into account the near infrared spectra(NIR) on numerous predictor variables with serious collinearity and having nonlinear quantitative relationship with the chemical compositions, a novel nonlinear partial least squares(PLS) approach, termed as Spline-PPLS, was constructed by combining the penalized partial least squares(PPLS) regression with B-splines transformation. Firstly, the observed spectral predictors were considered as discrete observations of curves of the wavelength and were nonlinearly transformed using B-spline basis functions. The choice of the degree of the polynomial pieces and of the number of knots was performed using the cross-validation strategy. Then, the PPLS algorithm was performed on the high dimensional transformed data matrix to build the calibration model by imposing a penalty term to the optimization criterion of PLS. The roughness penalty term indeed controlled the curvature of the functions and its smoothing parameter could also be obtained by the cross-validation. Finally, the proposed Spline-PPLS approach was applied to the wheat NIR diffuse reflectance spectra reconstruction and quantitative analysis. The result indicates that the Spline-PPLS approach not only can yield high accuracy reconstructing spectrum, but also improves the model prediction accuracy in the case of nonlinear relationships.
